    Considering how broken Sunny and Nephis are I genuinely thought asterion wasnt gonna be that difficult to deal with..

    But he dead ass could take over the entire world if the 3 sovereigns didnt exist.

    Anvil got dog walked the second sunny met his rank, but before that asterion could've killed him and the rest of the saints by himself. Its actually kinda crazy

    Then again. The bum ran the second sunny showed up, so he knows his limits.

    Asterion showing himself likely means that he has somewhat adequate info on all the cohort. He used Cassies parents, so he almost certainly has his eyes on Rain, who would be Sunnys biggest weakness. He probably would even go as far as attcking Effies child to get to her if need be. Asterion is gonna make Mordret seem like a tella tuby

          What are you all talking about? Sunny can teleport to any place within the shadow sense. and after he became the Sovereign, any restrictions on distance disappeared. He can teleport to any distance, provided that he has enough essence. and he can't watch Cassie because she's in the domain of humanity, not shadows.

      Like he said it's better to nip the bud before it blooms.
      He's gonna have a harder time dealing with 3 sovs (1 with almost the same ability) than just sunny and nephews.

      Planning your strategies is so much easier if you can get a glimpse of if its going to work out or not.

        Well reading ur comment gave a theory, that what if:
        Asterion takes control of all of humanity (except Sunny) and he is the last non Asterion reaming, and has to fight against the rest[the memory from the first ch in this volume]. Sunny wins in the end , as Nephis being uncorruptable manages to breakout if Asterions control in the end but is heavily injured while not being able to use her aspect. Sunny after decimating humanity needs authority of Death to sort of bring them back[this part I feel is kind of a stretch, but general idea is that entire humankind is against Sunny]
        So, finally in the end to buy time(if this is before the war) or to revive humanity via his shadows(if it's after the war), Sunny goes to tomb of Ariel. That's why Master Sunny didn't hear Neph in the tomb(cuz she is like a phantom or smth)
        [This probably will not happen, but just an interesting idea I got]
