    Cassie's powers makes me think about the Daemon of Oblivion who died first.
    She has the ability to erase the memories of others completely.
    And she has a negative presence- Even after becoming a Saint instead of having a presence which will dominate and exert pressure over everyone else she can easily fade in the background, and easily be ignored and forgotten.
    This is very similar to the powers of the Oblivion who is always forgotten and ignored.
    Combined with how in some instances Weaver acts like Sunny it makes me remember the convo bw Weaver and Arial in front of the tomb of Oblivion where he sheds tears while looking at the tomb and lies that he feels nothing in his heart.
    We can see it was an obvious lie and it looks like sunny lying while wearing the Weaver's mask. of course he feels deeply sad enough to shed tears.
    This coincidence of Cassie's and Oblivion's powers overlapping and Sunny as a Weaver crying over the death of Oblivion makes my imagination run wild. middle
    Song of the Fallen also means being a witness to everyone's stories. if we combine it with Oblivion's powers does it also mean being a witness and remember everyone while also being forgotten by everyone.. or something?
    is it just me or does anyone else share my thoughts?

    DISAPOINTING This is very disappointing and at this point it only seems like lazy writing.
    Are you telling me that Cassie, Sunny, Nephis and all the other saints who knew about the nightmare spawn actually had zero preparation against IT???
    Anyone with a brain would know that a mind manipulating monster will always go for the people you love and care about first. why did Cassie not drag her parents to the dream realm and put them under strict protection, before it was too late? and whats even more preposterous is, she didnt even check on them regularly and look for signs of mind manipulation.
    These are the first steps you have to do when facing such a monster and if they even failed to perform such preliminary precautions then what the hell have they been doing all this time?
    Cassie was the only one capable of even detecting the nightmare spawn's infection on others and to some extent counteract it. so its obvious that IT would go for her first, yet she did not make any prep or get any powerful memories and weapons to defend herself only waiting for sunny and nephis to come running?!?
    she didnt get any memories to treat her wounds in battle only relying on nephis' healing? after her 3rd nightmare she hasnt powered up at all even after becoming number two in the human domain.
    So you're telling me these clever, cunning, experienced and powerful protagonists who bested humanity's most powerful and resourceful people actually made no precautions, contingencies for worse case scenarios, or a battle plan and just waited to be ambushed even when they were given all the power, resources and influence in the world??!?!
    This is totally out of character for how awakened were portrayed in this world so far, always striving to improve themselves and filled with vigilance and paranoia at every turn.
    This sounds like the author just decided to change genre to horror in the middle of the novel and just SUDDENLY made the main characters to be stereotypically dumber than the villain to make him look more terrifying like all typical horror movies sigh
    IM VERY DISAPOINTED IN THIS KIND OF NARRATIVE, G3.

      Well we could say that they were busy with managing stuff and Asterion somehow having altered or affected all three of them.
      But he has to be Sacred to be able to do this stuff which is quite a crazy feat for a single supreme and to be able to affect people faster than they can expect.
      It's quite weird to be honest, but I feel G3 could very well explain it the following chapter or disappointingly do some stuff that is questionable.
