I'll just say this. The primordial record has more to do with bloodlines than this entire book. Also, basically only the last chapter is canon.
    Edit
I felt like my previous review may have not been specific enough or fair on the book.
But despite this it is a fun read for the most part but by the end it does get a bit too obsessed with the Dao and comprehension and stuff that it feels like even Awespec is confused by what he previously wrote. Ryu picks stuff up then drops them then randomly does back to picking them up he's all over the place and it feels like this all led to the end turning out the way it did cause Awespec ran out of ideas on how to explain what Ryu was doing.

Its always heartbreaking to see a waste of potential. I loved this novel at the start but quality kept dropping from around the halfway mark culminating in a rushed ending that replaces the MC of 2200+ chapters with another in the last seven chapters that feel more like a checklist of loose ends.

The novel keeps on getting worse and worse after the Incomplete Heavenly Path.
The most recent chapters feels like I'm reading a textbook instead of a novel. It's just constant explanation upon explanation of what Ryu could do, why it would make him stronger, why he can't do it now etc etc.
I'm tired of spending an entire chapter reading the description of a technique and it's millions of uses just to see Ryu use it a few times and forget about it.

I just wish it had more of a show not telling style. It seems like the author doesn't know what direction he wants to go in and just padding the shit out of each chapter so he has more time to think of an ending or so he makes more money.

I genuinely used to love this novel, even with all it's flaws ( And there are many ), but I just can't see myself looking forward to anything anymore and am just reading to see how it ends since I've sunk so much time into it already.

      Read till 260+ chaps

Yup and too much of Info dumps every chapter.. Author introduced the body, Mind, Qi cultivation levels at a same time till the god level, as if the MC was just going to cruise through these levels ASAP.. but he still is at the starting line of the cultivation and just ran back as well with that spirit severing stunt.. if the story was going to be this slow then the author could have taken the introductions to the levels 1 by 1 when required to avoid confusion..

Almost every chapter the bloodlines, his bone structure, his meridians are introduced just like that meme -- the one where Roman Reigns is introduced " The violent, the most diabolical, the dangerous, the beast slayer" but in the end it amounts to nothing but a lackbuster fight.
what is this hype all for?what is the use of keeping us reminding his superficial strength which he can't even tap into?
And not to mention all the hype and still he is unable to even kill the most basic troops of cultivation novel -- The young masters!

Personally haven't reached to those "great 300+ chapters". So far the story isn't much interesting. But chapters fly by quickly at first. Later though more and more I got annoyed about the fillers so started skipping a lot.
The shounen vibe is strong in here. MC suffers, levels-up through pain, "inhumane efforts" and "big risk", sometimes done by himself just for a better foundation. MC's quite edgy, in my "humble" opinion. And arrogant (
). My guess is author wanted to mix in that personality of his previous life to not make MC seem as too harsh. As getting to know about that moment just made him seem as ludicrous in the end. Pride seeped not through bones, but soul.
I haven't payed much attention towards the names of whatever parts and techniques of cultivation world and levels though. But there's quite plenty of those. With the long explanations.

The story has some narcissistic vibes as well. For the readers to admire MC's stature.
MC this, MC that. 30 times MC's name being mentioned in a small chapter is quite a usual sight.

Pretty much the only thing I really liked was that sharp tongue of his. But it appears just too rarely.

    - there is a LOT of filler.
    - the first 100 chapters are basically an introduction. the next 200 are marred by constant failures. then we can see progress.
    - i like the MC's straight-to-the-point attitude. no bullshitting. if he don't like you, he's either going to kill you now or kill you later.
    - at the same time though, that straightforward attitude is bred from arrogance. an arrogance that more often than not lands him in avoidable trouble. at least up until the 700s where he has enough strength to mitigate some of the trouble his arrogance brings his way.
    - something to note: he doesn't often get saved by powerful uncles or reclusive experts. most of the time he just kinda gets into trouble and lives with it until he has enough strength to either break free or run tf away.
    - as someone said before, there are moments of hype in the novel, but they are quickly dampened by the very, very lacking endings and the things that happen after.

overall: it's not bad. but it's not great either.

      - in the 1200s, it's starting to feel like everyone has been dumbed down so the MC can be intelligent. which isn't a really fun thing to note when paired with the fact that the MC has lost all of his power (AGAIN) and so we can do nothing but watch him verbally squabble with trillion-year-old-idiots.
      - the author also LOVES going in useless circles. whether it be with the MC's abilities, or with his character development, or with the side characters. it's all just uselessly repeated. for example, this is the most recurring trope: MC gets a boost and is praised to the high heavens. next chapter MC isn't worth the dirt on the ground. next chapter he loses his powers. next chapter he gains it all back with a boost. rinse and repeat.

For some reason, after a while the sex seems becomes one of the focal points of the story. It's kinda annoying too especially with how the MC is with it.
