Chapter 3009: Unravelling Insights |
The resolution of the Emperor of Harmony was strong and firm.
It was a sentiment that was reflected in all of them.
The air boiled with the battle spirit and the indomitable pride of human civilization.
They were the strongest.
They were at the very top of the food chain.
It took the sum totality of the entirety of the biosphere of Panama Continent to even match the power of human civilization, let alone press them. Each and every lifeform in the entire world needed to be forcefully united by some strange mental command from the Beast That Roared to threaten humanity at all.
They had no intention of going down easily.
"For now, let us not assume the worst," the Emperor of Harmony remarked with a calmer tone. "We don't know what has happened in the epicenter of the Beast Domain yet. Our sensors are unable to pierce the darkness that suffocates the entire region, making it almost impossible to even remotely estimate the outcome of the battle. All we know that is that it has surely in the end phase, with the number of Martial Sages that we have managed to verify have exited the battle."
The Solution of Harmony task force had ways of estimating how many Martial Sages were in battle at the moment, but it was not a perfect estimate, the recovery pods for the Martial Sages were placed all around the perimeter of the epicenter of the Beast Domain so that no matter where the Martial Sages exited the battlefield from after completely deprived of their stamina, they would be able to instantly access a recovery pod to heal from the consequences of the Martial Mind and Soul.

The projection of the vice president of the Esocline Federation flickered unsteadily, before disappearing entirely. The air in the meeting grew a little charged at the sudden disappearance of the representative of one of the Sage-level powerhouses of human civilization.
And yet, the very next moment, another projection appeared in her place.
The projection of a familiar yet strange man, garbed in a strange suit checkered with the glowing circuitry running up and down his entire technosuit with umpteen untold technological devices brimming away on the suit.
The upper half of his head was covered in some strange contraption of a device that extended over his eyes.
The Esoterist grinned at the Emperor of Harmony. "Well said, Emperor Rael. You're entirely correct. We do need to have a good understanding of what we're dealing with to possibly have a measured and rational response to the horrors we're dealing with. Thankfully for all of you…"
The Esoterist's smile widened. "…You have me."
The air tingled with anticipation.
The Emperor of Harmony's golden eyes lit up. "…You have found a way to gain insights into what we're dealing with?"
The man smirked.
"Yes."
An optimistic wave of pleasant surprises spread across the leaders of human civilization.
"The means is rather simple," the man remarked with a knowing tone. "We know that the curvature of the planet has reduced. We know that the horizon has grown more distant. And most stunningly…"
He grinned with excitement.
"…Our satellite systems are entirely intact despite all the shocking changes, major and minor, that the world has gone through."
The air grew eerie at those words as the leaders couldn't help but fall into thought.
They hadn't had time to fully consider it due to all the upheaval and hysteria that they had spent the past few hours dealing with, but he was right.
Their communication systems were just fine.
Which meant that the satellite systems were just fine without experiencing even the slightest problems despite the myriad changes that had occurred across the entire planet, including particularly shocking major changes.
"The satellite systems indicate that they are entirely on trajectory in geostationary orbit," the Esoterist smiled mysteriously. "This can only mean that the world had retained its spherical shape despite the curvature reducing. What can be deduced from these two geometrical datapoints?"
The Britannian Prime Minister narrowed his eyes.
"The planet has… grown larger."
The air boiled with tension.
The mood around the table was perilous.
The leaders of human civilization shook in their seats as their well-trained facades of composure cracked at the sheer gravity of what Prime Minister Edward had suggested.
"The planet…" The Gorteau President whispered with shock. "…has grown larger?"
Words couldn't even begin to describe just how ludicrous the notion was.
Each and every single leader around the entire table stared at the Britannian Prime Minister like he had finally lost the screws in his head.
"He's right," the Emperor of Harmony's expression grew severe. "The fact that the satellites didn't crash is still a profound mystery, but the fact that they are still revolving around in geostationary orbit means that the planet has retained its spherical shape despite the curvature reducing, which can only mean that…"
His golden eyes sharpened fiercely.
"…That our world has expanded."
The Consul of Terra couldn't help but gape at the sheer absurdity of that notion. "Expanded… but how? What does that even mean?"
"It would explain why night has disappeared," the Emperor of Harmony continued, deep in thought. "If the planet has expanded in size to a great extent, then it could mean that the entirety of the Panama Continent has fallen within the same few time zones on the much larger planet."
The air grew surreal.
Stunned astonishment from the various leaders of human civilization saturated the atmosphere as the revelations that were rapidly being uncovered in real time were too much for them to accept.
The leaders of human civilization stared at the Emperor of Harmony with shock. "But… how does that work? Has the Panama Continent gotten larger? Has the Great Nam Ocean gotten larger?"
