Chapter 951: Melvaro

The woman from the Tribes just looked at Kyle in shock.

A default judgment? She lost due to a default judgment?!

She was a Unique Sage, and this guy in front of her couldn't be a Spirit Lord! She would've noticed if he were a Spirit Lord! This meant that he had to be a Sage, and yet, the Emblem said that she couldn't possibly win.

How?!

“What is this trickery?” she asked with narrowed eyes. “You're a Sage! While I can accept that you might be able to win against me, your power can't be that much greater!”

“Yeah, well, tell that to your Emblem,” Kyle answered. “Apparently, it thinks you can't win. Anyway, I'm going to focus on my Law now. Have a great day!”

The woman complained a couple of times, just like the man behind her. The two of them were obviously not related by blood, but they sure were acting the same way.

Kyle just ignored them and kept focusing on comprehending the Law of Minor Earth.

Eventually, the two of them left, and Kyle could finally comprehend his Law in peace.

Kyle did not have an Affinity for Earth, but he still made rapid progress. He was unfamiliar with comprehending Earth Laws, but they didn't seem to be too hard to learn.

“Of course it's not hard,” Kyle thought. “This is a Level Three Law. Even an average Crusher can comprehend a Level Three Law without too many issues. I already looked at Level Four Laws in the Compression Realm, and right now, I'm a Legendary Sage. It's a bit hard to feel how earth works since it feels like I'm not supposed to look at it. It feels like I'm trying to learn something I have no talent for, but it's not a hard Law.”

“What are your plans?” Star Genesis asked Kyle after some years of comprehension. She was still experimenting with several materials.

“Minor Elemental Laws first,” Kyle transmitted. “Then, the Law of Spacetime Metal. Then, I'm making new Complex Laws.”

“Spacetime Metal?” Star Genesis asked in surprise. “How can you comprehend the Law of Spacetime Metal?”

“Manny gave all the Spacetime Metals to me. He exchanged them for his unique wish,” Kyle transmitted.

Star Genesis stayed silent for a while as a complicated expression appeared on her face. She had talked with Manny a couple of times, but ever since he had shared his true allegiance, she had been doubting him.

But now, she heard that Manny had sacrificed such a valuable opportunity just to increase Kyle's power by a bit.

“Can you spare a small part of every Spacetime Metal?” she asked.

“How much?” Kyle asked, glancing at Star Genesis.

“Five cubic centimeters of each metal,” she transmitted.

“I can do that,” Kyle answered. “I need to break them into pieces, which I can't do here. I will give them to you when I'm done with the Law of Minor Earth.”

“Thank you,” Star Genesis answered.

Kyle didn't know why Star Genesis wanted so much of the Spacetime Metal. Five cubic centimeters per metal was barely anything.

However, he knew that they were all working toward the same goal, and Star Genesis didn't strike Kyle like someone who would waste resources. If she asked for Spacetime Metal, she believed that this would end up helping the team.

Kyle kept focusing on the Law of Minor Earth as Star Genesis kept experimenting, and just like that, many years passed. No Tribe Members appeared to make trouble for Kyle.

Eventually...

**BOOOOM!**

All the insights regarding the Law of Minor Earth combined, and Kyle's mind was filled with understanding. He had comprehended the Law of Minor Earth.

“Took me about 300 years,” he thought as he looked at the date on his Emblem. “Earth was probably one of the easier ones since it's very similar to metal. The others might need a bit more time.”

Kyle looked for a Sect Member and sold his spot for 20 Merits. He didn't care about the extra ten Merits he could have gotten. Selling the spot for 30 Merits would have taken a while, and Kyle had better things to do.

Star Genesis and Kyle left the Sect Branch for a moment so that he could break the Spacetime Metal into pieces for her.

Spacetime Metal was extremely hard, but there were a couple of tricks Kyle could use to break small parts off the bigger cubes.

However, while Kyle was breaking the Spacetime Metal into pieces, several people suddenly appeared around the two of them.

There were 15 of them, and all of them were Sages.

When Kyle saw their brown uniforms, he took a deep breath in annoyance. Naturally, the man and the woman from earlier were also present.

Technically, the Tribe Members were not allowed to attack Kyle or Star Genesis, but the way they surrounded the two of them made them seem quite aggressive. It could be compared to a guy invading someone's private space by putting their chest just five centimeters in front of the other guy's chest. It was not an attack, but it was definitely an aggressive act.

Star Genesis looked at the Tribe Members with annoyance, but she didn't say anything. If she wanted to, she could reprimand them and tell them that she would call one of the Elders. That would put them into some trouble and might even cost them Merits.

However, Star Genesis knew that she didn't need to do any of this.

“What now?” Kyle transmitted to all the Tribe Members around him. “I'm busy!”

One of the Tribe Members floated forward. He was a tall man with white and black hair. He carried two swords on his back, and his aura was bright and colorful. His aura made it clear that he was someone who wouldn't stop advancing. He was a Unique Sage right now, but there was a chance that he would become a Legendary Sage.

He was about as strong as a normal Tribe Member could become. After all, anyone stronger would join Humanity.

“My name is Melvaro, and I have come to dispel the doubts of my family,” the man transmitted.

“What doubts are there?” Kyle asked. “They lost to a default judgment.”

“Tricks!” the first man who had lost Merits to Kyle shouted. “You're using some kind of trick to fool the Emblem! There's no way someone like you can be this powerful!”

The woman also nodded in agreement.

“These are the doubts I've been talking about,” Melvaro transmitted. “While I have not heard of an Emblem malfunctioning, there will always be doubt if there is no concrete proof.”

“Do not misunderstand me,” Melvaro added. “I am not here to cause you trouble. I am not here to take the Merits back. I am only here so that my family can go back to focusing on growing their power without any doubts or issues.”

Kyle looked around.

“You say one thing, but the positions of your family members speak of something else entirely.”

“I have not asked them to assume these positions,” Melvaro transmitted. “Their positions simply reflect their opinion of you. If you wish for them to be more respectful, show something that puts respect into them.”

Kyle rolled his eyes in annoyance.

“If I do that, will you stop bothering me, or will there just be even more Tribe Members searching for me afterward?”

“I am the head of the Melvaro Family,” Melvaro transmitted. “There is nobody you have to answer to, aside from our Guide. Yet, our Guide is a Spirit Lord and doesn't get involved in conflicts between Sages. He will not come looking for you, as long as nobody dies today.”

“Fine,” Kyle answered. “This better be the last time.”

Since they were not inside the territory of the Sect Branch, Kyle also didn't need to keep a low profile anymore.

So, in order to dispel their doubts, he simply stopped hiding his aura.
