Chapter 1130: The Heart of Nature as the Foundation |
The Emperors observing from afar were clearly regretful but made no move to interfere. This was common practice, and all of them had done the exact same thing while completing their own Sacred Mountains and palaces. Had Tang San not erected a barrier, it would have aroused suspicion instead.
With the holy mist concealing him, Tang San's movement instantly accelerated. In his hands, the Holy Dragon Spear danced smoothly as he outlined the formation—fluid as drifting clouds and flowing water.
Nihil's gaze flickered with awe and wonder. Though he was born as a puppet dragon, before his descent into madness, he had been tremendously powerful and thus received the best of dragonkind's education. Yet even with his power and knowledge, he couldn't understand the formation Tang San was inscribing. It was simply too complex, seemingly beyond the rules of this world.
Mei Gongzi didn't understand any better than him, but she was already accustomed to this. Ever since the day she was shocked by that ultra-long-distance teleportation array, she had stopped being surprised by anything Tang San did. If he could so perfectly disguise himself as a nymph that even the leadership of that clan couldn't tell the difference, then what couldn't he do? Still, in her heart, she held sincere admiration for her beloved. To operate so smoothly under the eyes of so many Emperors, without a hint of nervousness, showed unmatchable confidence and steadiness.
Gradually, the summit of the mountain became covered in dazzling patterns. When the final stroke was completed, the mountaintop trembled slightly, and colorful light began to flash in various sectors before converging again, forming mystical runes that pulsed across the summit.
"All done," Tang San said with a smile.
What he had embedded into the summit… was none other than the Heart of Nature. How could he not make good use of such a supreme treasure?
Activating the Heart of Nature was no easy feat. Not a single being in this plane was able to do so; the only forces capable of drawing power from the Heart of Nature were divine energy stemming from a divine seat and the primordial energy of chaos. Only Tang San possessed these two things right now.
Only through mastering chaos could one even start planar evolution; Tang San's surefire method involved granting some chaos energy to the Ancestral Tree, then merging the Heart of Nature with it. Of course, he had no intention of doing so, and the planar ruler would never allow that anyway. If a divine realm were established here, then Tang San would be its absolute master, and that would inevitably lead to it being devoured by the divine realm Tang San originated from.
First, he had used the Heart of Nature to create Elemental Seas for humanity. Now, he was using it again as the core of the array system on his Blue Gold Sacred Mountain. Just these two uses alone would've made it worth a hundred times the money he had paid for it at the auction, and he wasn't even done with it yet.
Tang San didn't immediately begin constructing the Blue Gold Palace. Instead, he returned to Mei Gongzi's side, sat cross-legged, and began meditating to recover.
Drawing the formation had drained him considerably, especially due to how precisely he needed to manage the Heart of Nature's power. Overuse could trigger a full release of its energy, which would be simply cataclysmic. The chain reaction would either cause a fundamental transformation of Planet Falan, or its destruction. If that happened, the planar ruler would not hesitate to annihilate Tang San no matter the cost, in order to preserve the Heart of Nature.
Mei Gongzi stood quietly beside him, guarding him as he rested.
Though holy energy still blanketed the summit, Mei Gongzi could sense something else as well. It now felt like being submerged in an ocean of strange energy.
It was a truly unique feeling. The natural energy within the Ancestral Court was normally quite chaotic. And yet, even though all elemental energies were present atop the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain, it didn't feel chaotic at all. Instead, a sense of order pervaded everything. The energies harmonized, complemented one another, and at the same time, kept each other in check. There was no clash or opposition, only an uplifting resonance.
The energy on the mountaintop seemed to be constantly elevating. Even the air had begun to take on a multicolored hue.
Nihil's body was enveloped in a rainbow glow. At first, he was worried that his annihilation energy might be triggered, but he quickly realized his fears were unfounded. Not only was it not agitated, it had instead grown more stable under the colorful light. This was a feeling he had never experienced before, not even when he'd paired with Tang San to generate that life-annihilation combination
His annihilation energy had fully calmed down.
Even the lingering issues he had, like the tearing sensations he felt within his massive body or the pain his divine consciousness suffered while trying to suppress his destructive instincts, were being soothed by the colorful aura. It felt so good that Nihil wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep atop the mountain.
Little did he know that what Tang San had done here was create a unique zone with energy completely unlike anywhere else on the entire plane.
A zone much like… a divine realm!
The colorful haze in the air, while not true immortal spirit energy, shared many of its properties. It could be considered a kind of lesser immortal spirit energy.
The Heart of Nature was the cornerstone of a divine realm, and one of the defining features of such a realm was its immortal spirit energy. Tang San, drawing on his understanding of divine realms and their structure, had effectively recreated a miniature divine realm, a kind of prototype, on Planet Falan. The energy was weak compared to the real thing, but even so, soaking in this atmosphere would be enormously beneficial to all lifeforms on this plane.
Why were divine realm denizens immortal? It was pretty self-explanatory: The key was this immortal spirit energy!
Mei Gongzi also sensed the wonders of this place. While shocked, she instinctively began absorbing the ambient energy. She could clearly feel the Asura Sword in her sea of consciousness yearning for it. The small crimson sword immediately started absorbing the rainbow energy and shining more brilliantly than before.
What exactly had Tang San done? Had he created a cultivation holy land within the cultivation holy land that was the Ancestral Court?
The thought made her click her tongue in awe. If the Emperors found out, they would probably ignore all conventions and stop at nothing to seize it.
Tang San's meditation didn't last long. After another half hour, he awoke.
"Phew…" He exhaled slowly. Though it was only a simplified version, it was still immortal spirit energy. It had been so long since he had last felt it…
He was the one who benefited the most, of course; after all, he already possessed a divine seat, and immortal spirit energy was the perfect nourishment for a divine seat.
At this moment, his Sea God divine seat shone more brightly than ever. If he so chose, he could even begin drawing faith power from the sea, even at this tremendous distance.
He rose lightly into the air and saw that Mei Gongzi's whole body shimmered with rainbow light, and faint red sword intent flickered around her.
Tang San smiled.
He couldn't just stay like this for too long. Otherwise, if the Emperors drew close and discovered the lesser immortal spirit energy, it would lead to major trouble.
With a wave of his hand, he unleashed Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon. Countless chunks of minerals of different types flew into his grasp. Thanks to the immortal spirit energy and holy energy, which acted as his veil, Tang San no longer needed to conceal his strength. He activated his various bloodline powers and began building his palace.
And so, the Blue Gold Palace began to take shape atop the Sacred Mountain—formed from divine ore and imbued with the laws of nature, baptized in the immortal spirit energy of a divine realm not yet known to this world.
