Chapter 1129: Yin-Yang Elemental Blue Gold Palace |
The notion of an "equal contract" had long faded from Nihil's mind—or rather, he felt that, as Tang San's follower, he would only stand to gain more benefits than he would get as an equal partner. Naturally, he was more than willing to play the minion.
Tang San pulled Mei Gongzi into his arms, gave her a light hug, and then walked alone to the center of the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain's summit.
His expression turned solemn.
Very soon, this place would become the site of his tribulation. Everything he was doing now was preparation for that moment. There could be no room for carelessness.
He closed his eyes and slowly circulated his energy, attuning himself to the elemental forces surging upward from the mountain and the yin and yang energies born from their interaction.
He stood motionless, as though he had become one with the Sacred Mountain itself.
Nihil lay on the ground some distance away, his eyes sharply scanning the surroundings. At this moment, even if an Emperor approached, they could not be allowed to disturb Tang San. Whatever happened, they would first have to deal with him.
Mei Gongzi also gazed at Tang San with a calm expression. Though she didn't know exactly what he was doing, whatever new miracle he was up to this time was more than worth looking forward to.
Tang San stood like that for half an hour, entering a state of harmony between man and nature. It was as if the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain beneath him had become an extension of his own body.
Although Tang San himself did not release any aura outward, various elemental energies from the Ancestral Court's atmosphere were constantly drawn toward the mountain. Upon entering its domain, impurities were automatically filtered out, and only the purest energies were allowed in and integrated into the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain.
The Emperors within the Ancestral Court naturally sensed all of this, but none came to interrupt him. For someone to build their own Sacred Mountain and palace was of utmost importance. Moreover, Jin Miaolin would be the one to help the Ancestral Court gather life energy and condense even more fortune. Rather than interfering, the Emperors were more likely to stop others from doing so.
Thus, though the Sacred Mountain showed clear signs of extraordinary phenomena, there wasn't a single demon or nymph within a five-kilometer radius. On the outer perimeter, Ancestral Court royal guards stood watch, ensuring no one disturbed the Crown Prince as he constructed his sanctum.
Another half-hour passed. The deep blue hue of the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain gradually shifted toward a sky-blue tone, and the mountain became increasingly crystalline and translucent. At the summit, yin and yang cycled in rotation; black and white streams of mist swirled faintly around Tang San. These visible streams of energy weren't hot or cold, and neither did they represent light and darkness. Rather, they were manifestations of Laws of the highest tier, Laws that came into being at the birth of the plane itself.
The Emperors watching this from afar were secretly amazed. The hallmark of becoming an Emperor was mastering at least one Law. Only then could one truly be called an Emperor.
For example, the late Tenebrous Demon Emperor had mastered the Law of Darkness. Through that power, he could enshroud an entire main city in pitch-black night, stripping all other elemental energies from the area. If not for Xu An'yu being able to touch upon the Law of Light thanks to his Light Sprite and the help of Crystal City—and with Tang San's own holy energy resonating with it—it would have been nearly impossible to dispel such darkness.
Yet now, Tang San had not even ascended, and he was already visibly mastering the Laws of Yin and Yang. Though these Laws did not play a major role in direct combat, they were far more foundational, far closer to the origin of all things, than other Laws with greater potency in battle. The yin and yang energies swirled around him with such harmony that even the Emperors could see this wasn't some spontaneous miracle, but a result of deep comprehension.
Some speculated that his ability to balance yin and yang lay in the fact that these dual forces had been naturally generated from the five-phase cycle and thus emerged in perfectly equal quantities. But even then, being able to control them without disrupting their balance was evidence of profound understanding.
At last, Tang San opened his eyes. He slowly crouched down, and his right hand pressed downward onto the ground.
The spot he touched was the exact center of the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain.
A strange, multicolored light rippled out from his palm, as if some unique force was nested within his slightly cupped hand. The moment his palm touched the mountain, the light spread like a flowing rainbow streaming down from the summit, cascading across the entire mountain.
Instantly, the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain became a spectacle of brilliant color. Even from a great distance, it was clearly visible. The nearby Council Mountain was bathed in rainbow light.
What kind of power is this?
One by one, Emperors took to the skies, gazing toward the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain. As Tang San's palm pressed downward, they all felt something astonishing: The Ancestral Court's spiritual center had shifted. It was no longer Council Mountain, but the not-so-tall Blue Gold Sacred Mountain!
Massive surges of the spirit energy of heaven and earth began converging wildly toward this mountain, making the radiant colors even more dazzling.
High above his own Sacred Mountain, the Celestial Fox Demon Emperor, whose face had grown even older, looked on with a strange expression. Below him, the Celestial Fox Sacred Mountain was also faintly glowing.
What is going on…
He could clearly feel it: As Tang San's hand pressed down, vast quantities of fortune energy began rapidly converging upon the Ancestral Court. Within the Celestial Fox Sacred Mountain, fortune surged as never before, even exceeding the speed he could achieve through his own efforts. The aura radiating from the Blue Gold Celestial Mountain was now pushing the Ancestral Court's total fortune toward its historic peak, even beyond what it had been under the Crystal Demon Emperor.
Incredible! That boy could actually do something like this? The Celestial Fox Demon Emperor narrowed his eyes slightly, lost in thought.
The radiant glow atop the Blue Gold Sacred Mountain continued for nearly fifteen minutes before slowly subsiding. The shimmering colors gradually faded, and Tang San stood up once more.
The Holy Dragon Spear fell into his hand at his summon, and from the spot where he had touched the ground, a rainbow-colored aura still floated upward.
With the Holy Dragon Spear in his grasp playing the role of brush, and with the rainbow energy as ink, he began drawing strange and complex patterns. At first, he traced only the area right around the rainbow glow, but gradually, the range of his markings expanded. He was drawing a vast and intricate array!
As he did so, a gentle breath of life began to seep outward from the mountain.
This was an entire mountain exuding life energy. Though it didn't feel particularly dense, the sheer area it covered was staggering; it was not far from covering the entire Ancestral Court.
With a flick of his hand, golden light filled the air. The gold then deepened into orange-gold, eventually taking the form of a thick mist of holy energy that blanketed the summit—hiding it and Tang San from view.
From this point on, nobody could see what he was doing anymore.
