Chapter 1411: Benefits of Evolution

Ding!

With the series of notifications from the system signaling his successful evolution, it was only after Valyr internalized all of the changes his subclass brought did he open his eyes.

Sensing the newfound strength stemming from his subclass evolving, the young man finally went ahead and brought up a screen in front of him, only to be left speechless by the long list of notifications that appeared soon after.

"That's… a lot more than I thought I'd get."

Ding!

[The ascension process has been successful.]

[Your class 'Emissary of the Arcane (Mythic)' has evolved to 'Emissary of the Arcane (Mythic+)'.]

[As your current class is an improvement over your previous class, the stats previously received from 'Emissary of the Arcane (Mythic)' shall be adjusted to match the standards of the current class.]

[You have gained +45 INT.]

[You have gained 8 unassigned stat points.]

[…]

[Your subclass 'Arcane Spell Scribe (Rare)' has evolved to 'Scribe of the Great Arcane (Epic)'.]

[As your current subclass is an evolution of your previous subclass, the stats previously received from 'Arcane Spell Scribe (Rare)' shall be adjusted to match the standards of the current subclass.]

[You have gained +45 VIT, +15 DEX, +60 INT, +60 WIS, +15 PER.]

Looking at the stats he gained from the evolution, a faint smile soon appeared on Valyr's face as he proceeded to cast a few of the spells he made through [Arcane Codex].

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Feeling the significant increase in its might, the young man faintly nodded in satisfaction as he returned his attention onto the next portion of notifications.

[As your current class is an improvement over your previous class, skills inherent to the previous class have been enhanced to match the standards of the current class.]

[Your passive skill 'Blessed by the Arcane' has evolved to 'True Blessing of the Arcane'.]

[As your current class is an improvement over your previous class, properties inherent to the previous class have been enhanced to match the standards of the current class.]

[Your comprehension aptitude for concepts regarding magic and energy have been significantly improved.]

With his class being the first among the two to be evolved, it went without saying that the next list of notifications that greeted Valyr came from it.

Although the evolution of his class only brought about an improvement of a passive skill and a significant boost to his comprehension aptitude, the former instantly dispelled his queries regarding his overall increase in strength.

Curious as to what had exactly changed about the passive skill, Valyr went ahead and brought up its description on the side.

Ding!

[True Blessing of the Arcane] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: Mythic (Special)

Highest Unlocked Tenet: 5th Tenet

Comprehension of Arcane Language: 1.75%

Ever since mana and other various energies had been discovered throughout the universe, beings… description has been omitted.

This skill permanently boosts all of the user's stats, the user's maximum HP and MP, as well as the user's Attack and Defense stat by 30%.

This skill also permanently boosts all of the user's stats by 30 points each, as well as the user's maximum HP and MP by 1,500 points each.

This skill also boosts the efficacy of all skills under the Emissary of the Arcane class by 20%.

Depending on the number of Tenets unlocked through [Basic Tenets of the Arcane] and the depth of the user's comprehension of the Arcane language, a greater blessing could be obtained from the concept of the Arcane, granting a further permanent boost to the user.

As of current, this skill permanently boosts the damage dealt by the user by 20%.

"…Holy shit."

As he recalled that his increased understanding of the Arcane language slightly boosted the skill's properties, Valyr looked at the skill's updated description with shock-filled eyes.

After all, from what he could recall, by the time his understanding of the Arcane language increased, the skill boosted all of his stats by 15%.

Yet, a single class evolution took that figure and doubled it?

For a while, the young man stared at the screen as he tried his best to find the right words to say.

Though, in the end, he decided not to focus on the skill any further, especially since he was already experiencing its effects in real time.

Whoosh!

Taking in a few deep breaths to regain his lost composure, Valyr proceeded to close the screen he brought up after that, shifting his attention back to the list of notifications he brought up.

"I wonder if I'll get a new skill?" murmured the young man to himself as he scrolled down to the bottom of the list, taking a look at the notifications he had yet to go through.

Ding!

[As your current subclass is an evolution of your previous subclass, skills inherent to the previous subclass have been improved to match the standards of the current subclass.]

[Your active skill 'Arcane Compendium' has evolved to 'Archives of the Great Arcane'.]

[Your passive skill 'Arcane Inscription' has evolved to 'Great Arcane Inscription'.]

[Due to the nature of your subclass, you have obtained the passive skill 'Realms of the Great Scribe'.]

"Huh." Reading through the notifications he received after evolving his subclass, Valyr raised his eyebrow in curiosity after seeing that his earlier words had come true.

However, rather than let his curiosity get the better of him, the young man decided to save the new skill for the very end.

After all, the two skills he obtained after Arcane modified his subclass both evolved.

"[Archives of the Grand Arcane]…" Wondering what kind of improvement a glorified library of powerful spells could achieve, the young man's queries were immediately answered after noticing that he now had more spells he could access through the skill.

Not only that, but the quality of the spells he could choose from were significantly improved thanks to the evolution.

At this point, the baseline quality of the spells that graced Valyr's skill were at the ultimate level for his current class rank.

Yet, for some apparent reason, the majority of the spells available through the skill went above and beyond this level, showcasing a transcendent level of power that did not match the rank it was made for.

As for the evolved version of [Arcane Inscription], [Great Arcane Inscription] gave him the feeling that he now had the ability to inscribe even the strongest spells available in his newly expanded spell library.

Aside from that, the other bits of information he received from the skill also told Valyr that he now had the ability to modify the various properties of the spells he inscribed onto parchment.

Though he was not sure what the skill meant by that, that doubt was soon resolved the moment he finally decided to take a look at his brand new skill.
