Chapter 1410: Dual Evolution |
Whoosh!
Taking the time to better sense the two faint connections he formed in succession, a slightly wry smile appeared on Valyr's face as he opened his eyes.
"I already thought the boost to my affinity towards concepts was absurdly strong back when I tested it out after getting it," muttered the young man to himself, only to then manifest the Intent Seeds he just comprehended into reality.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
"But now that I've finally made use of it to actually comprehend concepts… Arcane has given me a far greater gift than I initially expected it to be."
As he familiarized himself with the sensations brought about by his two new Intent Seeds, the young man thought about how much time it took him to comprehend all of the Intents he had in his other identity.
Considering that he was mainly a blacksmith in his other identity, it could be said that it didn't really take him that much time to comprehend the concepts based on the trade.
However, with the existence of the Four Pillars' Inheritance basically laying down the foundations for him, the young man decided to shift his focus elsewhere, thinking about comparing how long it took him to obtain Intents under Sellifer's tutelage.
Yet, even that wasn't a great comparison, considering that the Intent of True Mana he formed under her had pretty much come about due to an unexpected epiphany.
"I guess this is the first time I've tried comprehending Intents without relying on any external assistance, then," concluded the young man by the end of it, letting out a slight chuckle as he brought up a screen before him.
Taking a look at the server time through the system, Valyr was able to deduce that he had only spent less than half a day to manifest his understanding of mana and the Arcane concept into Intent Seeds.
Knowing that players usually took at least months in order to barely touch upon a concept that resonated with them, it went without saying that he was left completely speechless by this discovery, his eventual reaction being an incredibly long sigh.
"Man…" Giving himself a bit of time to regain his bearings, the young man soon let out yet another sigh in the hopes of forcing himself to calm down.
Yet, no matter how much he thought about it, the fact that he could comprehend Intent Seeds at such a short time made his eyes glisten with excitement.
If anything, it made him think whether he should follow his other identity in its footsteps regarding Intents, considering that he had around 6 or 7 of them under his belt.
"…I should evolve my class and subclass first." Fortunately, the young man did not let his thoughts get the better of himself, remembering the main reason why he comprehended the two Intent Seeds in the first place.
Ding!
Bringing up the prerequisite quests for both his class and subclass in front of him, it was no surprise that Valyr had a wide smile on his face after seeing how he was ready to evolve his class at any time.
On the other hand, once he shifted his attention towards the quests for his subclass, a pensive expression briefly appeared on his face as he took notice of the last two quests he had yet to clear.
Whoosh!
Nevertheless, with those two quests only needing him to inscribe a certain number of spells onto parchment, it only took around half an hour at most for him to complete both quests, allowing him to move on with his previous idea in mind.
"Huu…" Unsure of the process on evolving his main class, the young man softly let out an exhale as he closed his eyes, sending a command to the system soon after that he would like to evolve his class.
Ding!
Swoosh!
Thankfully, that command alone was more than enough for things to start moving, with Valyr unknowingly letting out an aura that felt vaguely similar to the spells he made with [Arcane Codex].
However, not even a few minutes later, this aura began to gradually change as the feeling it gave out began to combine with the Lesser Arcana coursing throughout his body.
Fwoosh!
Then, just as the combination of the two sensations began to settle within the aura Valyr let out, the aura burst out with greater power not long after, seemingly aiming to form a connection with a realm far higher than what Veldanyr could accommodate.
Unfortunately, with the distance that separated Veldanyr from the realm his aura was trying to contact, the connection between the two only lasted for a brief moment.
Yet, that brief moment was more than enough for the realm of billowing clouds to send an unassuming strand back towards Valyr's aura, finally ending the evolution process of his class once and for all.
"Woah…" Opening his eyes the moment he felt his newly obtained strength settle down, Valyr's eyes slightly widened in surprise as he took note of the fact that his vision of the world had subtly changed.
Though the world through his vision didn't really change at first glance, the young man soon began to notice strands of multi-colored energy here and there, with most of them congregating around living creatures.
"If that's the case, then…" Taking note of this slight quirk to his new mode of vision, it was no surprise that he soon shifted his gaze towards his body, only to then find out that his entire body was covered in those multi-colored strands.
Although this discovery slightly caught him off guard, with the experience he'd obtained working with similar skills in his other identity, Valyr was eventually able to return his vision back to what it was before.
Letting out a wide sigh of relief after that, the young man had a slight urge to take a look at the gains he obtained after ascending his class to an intermediary tier.
However, rather than act upon it, he instead decided to ascend his subclass first before doing so.
"I wonder what I'd gain from my subclass?"
