Chapter 57: Fan A |
"Phew."
In the corridor bustling with staff members, the USB drive Bai Yi had given him danced up and down in Yan Huan''s palm.
His pant pocket, which had been bulging with a pair of Bluetooth earbuds just moments ago, was now flat. It was a mystery where those earbuds had gone.
A highly penetrating voice boomed from the audio equipment on the outside stage, causing his footsteps to pause slightly.
"Everyone, please welcome the famous dancer, Christina!!"
Yan Huan glanced at the promotional poster in the corridor. Bai Yi''s name was listed right after Christina.
He needed to hurry.
"Myau-chan."
He walked briskly toward a specific section of the backstage area, his expression completely calm as he called out telepathically.
Upon his shoulder, it was as if the darkness had opened a pair of jade green eyes.
Looking closely, one would discover it was a fluffy black cat wearing a yellow scarf.
He gave a soft cry, signaling that everything was taken care of.
Yan Huan did not look back. He simply tossed the USB drive to his companion.
"Meow!"
Myau-chan opened his mouth and caught the USB drive between his teeth.
His tail swished back and forth, lightly tapping against Yan Huan''s shoulder.
Yan Huan came to a halt beside a particular room, leaning against the wall as he peeked at the various pieces of equipment inside.
A sign hung on the door:
"Media Room - Authorized Personnel Only."
A staff member inside held a walkie-talkie and spoke into it.
"Background music is ready, over."
"Copy that. The next performer doesn''t need background music, so you can take a breather."
Holding a cup of coffee, the staff member glanced at the guest list nearby. Upon seeing Bai Yi''s name, he took a sip.
"Copy that."
Yan Huan leaned against the doorframe, the black cat on his shoulder having vanished without a trace. Hearing the voice from inside, he gently rapped on the door.
"Knock, knock."
"Who is it?"
The staff member hastily turned around and looked toward the doorway, spotting a handsome young man holding a phone.
Staring at his screen, the young man called out to the worker inside.
"Excuse me, sir. I''m the assistant for one of the upcoming guests, Ichihara Nana. The thing is, we''d like to change the background music for her stage entrance."
"Change the background music?"
The staff member furrowed his brows and set down his coffee.
"Why didn''t you mention this before the rehearsal? Everything is already set up, how are we supposed to change it now? No way, go back and tell your artist it can''t be done."
Yan Huan simply smiled and gestured with his phone.
"We''ve already cleared it with the executives from the Jinshi Group. How about this? I''ll give him a call, and you can discuss it with him directly?"
The staff member paused, then scratched the back of his head and reluctantly stood up, walking toward the door.
Behind him, his half-finished coffee and his keys remained sitting on the desk.
He glared at Yan Huan impatiently and grumbled.
"Talking to the Jinshi executives is useless unless they call the director in charge of the performances. I can only make the change if I get official approval, otherwise, I can''t take responsibility for this."
"Please, just answer the call first."
"Fine, fine. But let me warn you, I''m going to tell him the exact same thing."
The staff member emphasized his point as he stepped out of the room.
At the exact moment he exited, an illusory black cat materialized stealthily on the door handle, his tail wrapping securely around the lock knob below.
"Bang!!"
In the next second, the heavy security door of the media room slammed shut with a resounding crash!
"What the hell?!"
The staff member froze, his face draining of color as he quickly turned back and tried to wrench the door open.
"Rattle-rattle!!"
The door was locked.
"What''s going on?!"
His expression twisted as he whipped his head around to glare at Yan Huan.
Before he could utter a word, Yan Huan put on a perfectly innocent expression.
"Hey, man, I never even stepped inside. What does this have to do with me?"
The staff member, who had been on the verge of exploding, stopped short.
''He''s right. This kid never set foot in the media room, and the door slammed shut the second I stepped out...''
''There isn''t a damn breeze in here! How did the door inexplicably close and lock itself?!''
However, the current situation did not afford him the luxury of overthinking.
He needed to play the audio tracks according to the strict timings set during rehearsal. Fortunately, the next guest, whose segment lasted seven and a half minutes, did not require any background music.
He had to get the door open and queue up the corresponding track before Bai Yi''s performance.
Otherwise, it would be a catastrophic stage accident.
A cold sweat instantly broke out over the staff member''s body. He turned back to Yan Huan, glaring at him fiercely, and cursed with a dark scowl.
"This is all your damn fault!! There are security cameras in the corridor! If something goes wrong, you and your artist are going to pay for this!"
Since it technically was Yan Huan''s fault, he didn''t bother arguing.
He merely smiled and said gently,
"Alright."
That single word nearly choked the staff member. He heaved several heavy breaths before he could somewhat compose himself.
Gritting his teeth, he immediately sprinted down the hall to find someone else who had a spare key to the media room.
Yan Huan simply watched his retreating back, his smile never wavering, before turning his gaze toward the locked media room.
"..."
Inside the room, the illusory black cat, with the USB drive clamped in his jaws, trotted over to the computer with a swish of his tail. He struggled for a moment to align the connector with the computer''s port.
Plug.
"Ding-dong."
"Meow?"
Myau-chan tilted his head, glancing up at the monitor as it displayed a newly connected device, before leaping nimbly onto the desk.
His jade green eyes reflected the glow of the computer screen. Immediately, he batted at the mouse with his soft paws, opening the USB drive folder.
He dragged a file from it and placed it right where it needed to be.
With another soft meow, he hopped off the desk and yanked the USB drive back out with his teeth.
A second later, the phantom Myau-chan reappeared on Yan Huan''s shoulder outside the door, the drive still in his mouth.
"Meow."
Yan Huan rubbed his chubby little head, smiling warmly.
"The fact that you can appear anywhere within a fifteen-meter radius of me is a massive help, Myau-chan."
"Meow."
Hearing Yan Huan''s praise, Myau-chan held his head high, acting as if he had finally washed away all previous slander about him being completely useless.
Yan Huan lowered his head slightly to check the time on his phone.
Right now, he was probably keeping closer track of the guests'' stage timings than the on-site staff.
Christina''s dance routine was nearly finished, which meant Bai Yi only had a few minutes before she had to go on stage.
Thinking of this, he began walking toward the main venue, opening the Plane app to send Bai Yi a message.
"Bai Yi, do you have a pair of Bluetooth earbuds connected to your phone? If not, there''s a pair belonging to me on the table ahead that you can borrow."
As Yan Huan made his way toward the stage, Myau-chan vanished in an instant, reappearing in the backstage corridor separated from him by a single wall.
Yan Huan leaned against the wall. Right on the other side of that same wall stood Bai Yi, clutching her chest.
The light caught the screen of the phone Yan Huan used to send his message, illuminating his striking features.
On the opposite side, Bai Yi''s phone suddenly lit up with his message, serving as the sole source of light in that cramped, unlit corridor.
She examined Yan Huan''s earbuds and wearily leaned against the wall beside her.
It was as though she and Yan Huan were leaning back-to-back, separated only by a thin layer of plaster.
Neither of them realized it.
Only the black cat phasing between the two sides witnessed this scene, letting out a soft purr that Bai Yi could not hear.
"Meow."
In the darkness, his jade green eyes watched Bai Yi pocket Yan Huan''s earbuds. Then, he turned and phased right through the solid wall, returning to the light and settling back onto Yan Huan''s shoulder.
"And now, please welcome the most popular idol of Linmen''s new generation!!"
"Miss Bai Yi!!"
The announcer''s penetrating voice echoed from the stage.
"Meow."
"Miss Bai Yi, you''re up!!"
The cat''s cry and the shouts of the staff from behind the curtain rang out simultaneously.
Under the bright lights, Yan Huan locked his phone, a confident smile gracing his lips.
In the shadows, Bai Yi raised her head, her face deathly pale.
The very next second, they both pushed off the wall and walked in opposite directions.
One toward the stage bathed in spotlights.
The other into the dimming corridors of the backstage area.
"Buzz."
Their worlds seemed to gradually diverge, isolated by a heavy barrier like parallel lines destined never to intersect.
Upon the radiant stage, the stunningly beautiful girl stood as if facing a sharp blade.
The gaze of every audience member felt like a black hole, an oppressive, suffocating darkness.
In the busy, dimly lit backstage, the handsome young man moved with a light, agile grace.
In the darkness, his phone suddenly lit up.
His slender fingers tapped the screen, ultimately landing on the Plane app.
Bai Yi.
Initiating voice call...
"Beep."
"Beep."
The glowing phone screen in the dark was like a crackling fire, a radiant sun, a brilliant white hole...
Like the eye of a stifling vortex, like a razor-sharp blade.
When the call began to ring, it was as if a doorbell had chimed upon the gateway separating their two worlds.
"Ring-ring."
On stage, a wide-eyed Bai Yi, drenched in cold sweat, froze for a split second.
With trembling fingers, she reached up and pressed against her ear.
''Why is he calling me?''
''I don''t know...''
''But whatever it is, it has to be better than this, right?''
The moment her finger brushed the earbud and accepted the call—
Their two worlds were no longer separated by a wall. They were finally connected.
"Yan... Yan Huan."
Her microphone wasn''t on yet. With a distant look in her eyes, Bai Yi had no idea what she was doing, actually answering a phone call while standing center stage.
But she was utterly desperate. If things continued like this, she genuinely felt she would die right there on stage.
So anything would do. Even an accident, even an act that completely overstepped decorum. She clung to him like a drowning victim grasping at a last desperate hope.
She had no other choice.
"Shh, Bai Yi."
The young man''s voice on the other end of the line was incredibly pleasant to the ear.
Shielded by the active noise cancellation of the earbuds, it felt as though his was the only voice in the entire world.
"Don''t forget, you''re on stage right now."
"..."
Bai Yi blinked, remaining silent. Instead, as if coming to her senses after the fact, she accepted the microphone the host handed her.
Seeing this, the host thought everything was finally back on track and breathed a sigh of relief.
However, her relief was entirely premature.
Yan Huan''s voice continued through the earpiece.
"Actually, Bai Yi, I didn''t just give you those Bluetooth earbuds to ease your nerves. I prepared a surprise for you."
''A surprise?''
''What kind of surprise?''
Backstage, Yan Huan watched the frantic staff members making phone calls and rushing around outside the media room, smiling softly.
Inside the empty media room, a single black cat sat poised like a deity.
He stared at the screen, raised a little paw, and decisively clicked the left mouse button.
"Hum!"
A sudden hush fell over the entire main venue, broken only by a low hum of static from the audio equipment.
Then, without warning, a heavy drumbeat erupted.
"Boom-boom-boom-boom!"
On stage, the host, who was just about to ask a question, completely froze.
She widened her eyes and looked at Bai Yi beside her, whose pupils were equally constricted. The host felt her legs go weak.
''Why...''
''Why is this completely different from the rehearsal?!''
Offstage, Jiang Xion cast a puzzled glance at Zuo Jiangqin beside him.
Zuo Jiangqin stood up with an icy scowl. She was just about to throw a fit when Jiang Xion firmly grabbed her hand.
The director holding a walkie-talkie turned pale and began screaming into it, demanding answers from the media room.
However, the media room was completely devoid of humans; the only sounds were the panicked voices filtering in through the heavy, locked security door.
"Yan Huan, you... you''re crazy..."
Bai Yi recognized it instantly. It was the intro to her new song.
As an explosive barrage of drumbeats hit, a sweeping synthesizer melody accompanied it like a roaring gale. It forced all the spectators who had been looking down, chatting, or playing on their phones to snap their heads up and stare at the stage.
The moment all those eyes fell upon her, Bai Yi was so terrified she nearly bolted off the stage.
She bit her lip. Her microphone was still off, and her lips trembled violently. Just as she was about to speak, Yan Huan''s amused voice drifted through her earbud.
"Well, I hate to say it, as this definitely feels like forcing a duck onto a perch... but the die is cast. Bai Yi, are you going to seize this opportunity and earnestly sing your new song for everyone, or are you going to let my actions turn into a catastrophic stage accident?"
"Do you realize you''ll have to take responsibility for this? I..."
"I will take responsibility."
Bai Yi''s pupils shrank, because on the other end of the line, Yan Huan''s voice was absolute and unwavering.
"I know exactly what I''m doing. While it is quite sudden, please don''t misunderstand."
"This isn''t an impulsive act, nor is it the reckless behavior of a fanatic fan trying to trap you on stage."
"It''s simply because, Bai Yi, you truly want to sing."
"It''s simply because your new song is genuinely incredible."
A few fleeting seconds passed, and the highly captivating intro reached its midpoint.
Listening to Yan Huan''s words, Bai Yi gripped her microphone tighter and tighter.
"Don''t worry about forgetting the lyrics, and don''t worry about getting nervous. I''ll stay on the line with you the entire time, and I''ll read the lyrics you wrote right back to you."
"So, the final choice is yours, Bai Yi."
''My choice...''
Bai Yi''s fingers quivered around the microphone handle. In the next breath, she flicked the switch on.
It was as though she had cemented a profound resolve—a resolve that made the increasingly pale host beside her want to drop dead right there.
"Everyone!"
Bai Yi grit her teeth and closed her eyes.
In the final moments before the first verse began, she raised the microphone and addressed the massive audience.
"I am Bai Yi, here today as a guest at the Linmen Game Exhibition! For this occasion, I''ve brought a song that I composed myself. I hope you all enjoy it!!"
The audience offstage did not understand the deeper meaning behind this song; many of them were seeing Bai Yi for the very first time.
But music is a universal language. As the rhythm and melody swelled, it felt as though they already intimately knew the gorgeous girl standing before them.
"Woooooah!!!"
Backstage, hearing Bai Yi''s declaration, Yan Huan smiled gently. Holding his phone, he spoke softly.
"Also, earlier you said you didn''t need me to treat you as my idol. I don''t agree with that."
"Someone who can write such an outstanding song, who can sincerely apologize to me for the darkness in her heart, and who can bravely find her voice right now..."
"Is a girl like that really not worthy of being someone I admire?"
On stage, Bai Yi felt her gaze practically melt. The faces of the audience members raising their hands and looking up at her seemed to blur and melt away as well.
The harsh, critical glare of her mother slowly dissolved into the true, authentic expressions of the crowd.
Their curiosity, their fervor, their unwavering attention...
Coupled with Yan Huan''s steady voice through her earpiece, it all fused into an incredible surge of power, filling her with immense warmth.
True, her mother was still watching her.
''But he...''
''He is definitely watching me right now, too!''
''So no matter what happens, I have to finish this song!''
"Alright, Bai Yi, here we go! One! Two! Three!"
The incredibly dynamic and alluring intro captured the attention of everyone in the audience, just as it had captivated Yan Huan the first time he heard it.
As the first verse approached, Bai Yi took a deep breath, and she and Yan Huan spoke in absolute sync.
"Are there some words that always make you shed a tear when you hear them?"
"Do you always feel like a fool, always feeling like you just can''t express yourself?"
"Wanting to become your own idol, refusing to be bound down."
Because she hadn''t prepared properly, nor had she warmed up her vocals beforehand, her entrance into the verse was slightly immature and raw.
But she merely gripped the microphone tightly, like a sailor clinging fiercely to a mast in the middle of a tempest, letting the storm rage around her.
"She''s crazy... absolutely insane."
Zuo Jiangqin''s face was incredibly grim. Her knuckles turned white from how hard she was gripping the armrests of her chair.
Yet Jiang Xion simply watched Bai Yi on stage, witnessing her previously rigid, puppet-like body gradually erupt with vitality.
It was a scene of exuberant vitality, like all living things bursting forth in spring...
Backstage, a few directors holding walkie-talkies marched over with equally sour expressions, keeping their heads low.
"Ms. Zuo, Mr. Jiang, we just spoke with Bai Yi''s agent. She claimed she had no idea about this arrangement and told us to ask you two about it?"
The moment Zuo Jiangqin saw the Jinshi Group logos on their uniforms, she blanched. She reflexively forced an awkward smile and tried to explain.
"No, you see, we..."
However, the elegant and refined Jiang Xion simply reached out, placing a firm hand on Zuo Jiangqin''s shoulder and forcing her back down into her seat.
Then, he removed his glasses with his left hand, looked at the directors before him, and calmly stated,
"My apologies for disrupting your work. This was indeed a last-minute change that we authorized Bai Yi to make. If this constitutes a breach of contract, we will pay the penalty."
Zuo Jiangqin furrowed her brows, immediately wanting to lash out.
But feeling the heavy weight of Jiang Xion''s hand on her shoulder, she resentfully snapped her mouth shut.
The directors frowned, preparing to argue, but as they glanced at the increasingly lively and roaring venue around them, they suddenly found themselves at a loss for words.
The melody of the music was exceptionally dynamic and catchy, perfectly aligning with the energetic themes favored by the young crowd at the game exhibition.
The breathtaking tune, the ear-catching synthesizers, the infectious rhythm...
Combined with the incredibly vibrant vocals of the gorgeous girl on stage, it was practically setting the entire venue ablaze.
Even the cosplayers taking photos nearby and the attendees participating in activities in other halls heard the singing and were rushing over to the main stage.
Countless phones and glowing cheering sticks were thrust into the air, quickly packing the crowd pushing in from the back.
The directors opened their mouths, taking one last look at Jiang Xion before conceding.
"We''ll discuss this once it''s over. Let the performance continue for now!"
"Understood. Thank you."
Jiang Xion slipped his glasses back on and waved them off.
"What is wrong with you? Pay the penalty? Pay for what?! This was definitely Yi Yi''s own doing—"
"The deed is already done. What''s the point of obsessing over it now?"
Jiang Xion sighed, gazing at Bai Yi on stage.
"If this song was truly terrible, and if her performance was an absolute disaster, I''d probably be just as furious as you are."
"But look around you. Look at Yi Yi up there."
"Everyone loves her song. And I have never seen her look so energetic and devoted at any event before."
"Jiangqin, ask yourself honestly—is this the same Yi Yi you always claim never takes anything seriously?"
Zuo Jiangqin was taken aback, though her frown remained firmly in place.
"Even so, she can''t just do this! She didn''t even consult me beforehand."
"Has Yi Yi never tried to consult you? Has she never told you that she wanted to sing?"
"I..."
Seeing Zuo Jiangqin struck speechless, Jiang Xion merely offered a helpless smile. He turned his attention back to the stage and chuckled lightly.
"Even though the execution was lacking in consideration, the final result isn''t so bad, is it?"
"Education is necessary, but let''s skip the harsh lecture this time. Now that things have progressed to this point, we should stand with her. Do you understand, Jiangqin?"
Zuo Jiangqin still looked displeased, but she truly had no way to refute his words. She could only glare resentfully at the stage.
She watched the young girl standing under the spotlight, a girl who practically seemed to be radiating light.
Bathed in the stage lights, the gorgeous girl moved past her initial rawness and stuttered phrasing, gradually falling completely into her element.
After all, this was what she loved most, the craft she had poured the most blood and sweat into, and the passion for which she most desperately craved recognition.
Composing the melody, arranging the track, writing the lyrics...
It was all the culmination of her countless days and nights of tireless effort. How could she not be intimately familiar with it? How could her performance truly be raw and unrefined?
Therefore, after only a brief period of adjustment, she truly entered a state of complete, ecstatic immersion.
She simply wanted to sing, to release the pent-up emotions stifling her heart.
She simply wanted to sing, driven by a genuine, profound love for the music.
Even without professional training, her innate talent propelled her to heights others could never hope to reach.
With a slight tilt of her head, her voice uncontrollably soared to breathtaking peaks.
With a subtle part of her lips, melodious and captivating modulations flowed effortlessly from her throat.
By the time the second chorus ended, the entire main venue was packed to the brim, the audience throwing their hands up and cheering in perfect time with the beat.
In the next second, the electric guitar interlude struck up, catching the post-chorus atmosphere just as it began to dip and hoisting it right back into the stratosphere.
It was like a volcano on the verge of erupting, like the profound darkness right before the break of dawn.
Bai Yi panted heavily. After several minutes of giving it her absolute all, she was so immersed in her self-forgetfulness that she could no longer hear the ticking of her pocket watch, nor could she hear Yan Huan''s voice.
Confused, she tilted her head to listen closer to the earbud in her left ear. Only then did she belatedly realize that, at some point after she completely gave herself over to the song, Yan Huan had quietly ended the call.
"Haha..."
That lingering sense of security that had been faithfully keeping her company had suddenly vanished, leaving her heart aching to draw near him once more.
Gasping for breath, her eyes subconsciously scanned the crowd below, searching for Yan Huan''s figure.
But the sea of people stretched out endlessly before her. How was she supposed to spot the handsome young man in this dense throng?
Yet in this very moment, his voice still seemed to echo within her mind.
Yet in this very moment, his face still seemed perfectly reflected in her thoughts.
Looking at the sea of bright eyes staring back at her, she felt an unprecedented lightness in her chest.
Her expression shifted slightly, and she pressed a hand against her heart.
Amidst the lightning-fast electric guitar interlude, she lowered her head and suddenly spoke.
"This song was written for a fan I''ve known for a very, very long time."
"Woooooahhh?!!"
The crowd below absolutely erupted. People were always utterly fascinated by gossip like this.
The entire game exhibition had been transformed by Bai Yi into the blistering, fiery atmosphere of a full-blown concert.
"I used to be incredibly jealous of him. Jealous of his excellence, jealous of his charm..."
"But I never expected that he—the very person I resented and envied so deeply—would be the one to give a lost girl like me both direction and strength."
Bai Yi tossed her long hair back, looking every bit the muse goddess as she drew wild, breathless screams from the audience.
"He calls himself my music fan, but really, aren''t I just as much a fan of his?"
"So, as a way to thank him, as a way to apologize to him, whatever it is... this song is dedicated to him!"
"Thank you so much! Thank you for everything you''ve done for me!!"
"We''re nearing the end now! This song is Fan A, and I hope you can hear it!!!"
The beautiful sight of her holding the microphone, her voice soaring as high and clear as a skylark...
She never mentioned that person''s specific name, yet everyone present seemed to viscerally feel the raw emotion pouring out through her song.
The final chorus of the song, its ultimate climax, elevated into a higher key the very instant the electric guitar accompaniment paused.
Under the watchful eyes of the trembling host beside her, Bai Yi began to circle the stage, waving to the crowd. As the audience enthusiastically waved back, everyone seemed to draw their own personal meaning from the lyrics.
"Fan A, are your emotions turbulent, yet in the end, you still fear it will all be in vain?"
Offstage, Sakuramiya Hitomi stared blankly at Bai Yi, lost in her own inscrutable thoughts.
Beside her, Yurianna was shrieking like a madwoman, randomly grabbing passersby and hollering,
"She goes to our academy!! Waaaahhh!! She''s singing so beautifully!!"
Ashley tried to pretend she didn''t know the lunatic, only for Yurianna to snatch her sleeve and use it to wipe her tears.
Thus, Ashley wanted to die even more.
"Fan A, is your dream eternal, only to realize at the very end that it''s nothing but empty air?"
At the edge of the venue, Yabashi Ki, who was squatting on the ground with his glasses off, lifted his head to peer toward the stage.
But his tear-blurred vision rendered the stage completely indiscernible. All he could see in his mind''s eye was the lingering image of Shijo Ai''s cruel smile.
And so, he buried his face in his hands and bawled even harder.
"Fan A, are you confused and naive, terrified that the future will fade into an impenetrable haze?"
Spencer lay upon a stretcher inside the hall with unfocused eyes, clutching a black bag tightly to her chest in a death grip.
A swarm of security guards and medical personnel in Jinshi Group uniforms crowded around her, preparing to wheel her out of the venue.
Standing on the periphery, An Le, who had been sick with worry for her, heard the beautiful singing behind her and couldn''t help but turn to look at the stage.
She bit her lip, her cheeks flushing as she stared at her chat history with Xiao Huan on her phone, utterly speechless for a long, long time.
"Fan A, because you cannot answer the expectations of others, you have no choice but to become yourself."
Up on stage, Bai Yi strode back to the center as the melody hit its absolute zenith, completely igniting the entire exhibition hall.
The surrounding accompaniment cut off sharply at the peak of the climax, destined to fade away like the breathtaking burst of a colorful firework.
A profound silence blanketed the venue. Every single person was shaken to their core by Bai Yi''s incredibly energetic, overwhelmingly vibrant voice.
Amidst the utter silence, the gorgeous girl''s bright, starlight-like eyes swept over the massive crowd below, finally locking onto a specific direction.
Then, she twirled the microphone in her left hand and let it drop to her side. Raising her right hand, she shaped her fingers into a pistol and pointed it straight ahead.
As the song came to a complete end, under the enraptured gaze of thousands, she declared at the top of her lungs,
"Thank you, Fan A!!"
Following the trajectory of her finger gun, the girl''s most sincere, heartfelt emotions tore through the air.
Past the seated VIP guests in the front who were just beginning to applaud...
Past the boiling sea of glowing cheering sticks and countless raised hands...
Past their deafening roars and the scorching hot atmosphere...
Finally, it reflected upon the bright surface of a pair of jade green cat pupils sitting right in front of the brilliantly lit main entrance.
A black cat with jade green eyes sat elegantly by the doors, watching the breathtaking, panting girl on the stage.
Then, he tilted his little head and let out an adorable cry.
"Meow."
"Myau-chan."
A moment later, a warm, smiling voice called out from the brightly lit doorway, prompting the adorable phantom black cat to turn around.
After a short trot, he leapt gracefully into the air.
Catching the sincere feelings the girl had projected, he landed smoothly upon the shoulder of the young man, whose back was turned to the stage.
The cat nuzzled his cheek, directly transmitting the young girl''s emotions to his mind.
Hearing the girl''s distant call, the young man turned his handsome profile slightly, casting a final glance toward the stage.
Far away under the brilliant spotlight, the girl radiated a blazing youthfulness, bursting with an enviable, unstoppable vitality.
Witnessing this scene, the young man smiled softly and murmured to himself,
"Fan A, huh..."
And in the next second, the young man vanished through the sunlit entrance of the exhibition hall.
"Woooooahhhhhh!!!"
"Bai Yi!! Bai Yi!!"
Leaving behind only the deafening cheers and thunderous applause that swept through the entire venue as the outro drew to a close.
