Chapter 481: You Should Be Punished (2)

‘Run? I’m about to walk in there myself.’

I was smiling, but Jung Ha-Yan was frowning because she had just realized that the current situation was more dangerous than any situation we had been in before. I could feel it on my skin, so I couldn’t even begin to imagine just how anxious she was feeling.

Despite the shenanigans, my well-being was still the most important for her. I was thankful for that, but this was a justifiable trap.

‘Don’t go soft, Ki-Young…’

I was determined to be tough on Jung Ha-Yan.

I wasn’t expecting Jung Ha-Yan to change drastically, but I couldn’t keep on fixing every incident that she would cause. I was willing to overlook small incidents, but this incident was definitely not small. In the end, I would benefit from what she had done, but the issue was that she hadn’t asked me for permission.

I couldn’t help but think that I had to talk to her again before she caused more problems.

I wasn’t sure if she was aware of this, but Jung Ha-Yan continued looking around anxiously.

“I-It’s too late,” Jung Ha-Yan mumbled.

“What do you…”

“D-Don’t fall. You can’t fall no matter what. No matter what…!” she added.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“I-I’ll explain l-later, so don’t fall. Please don’t fall,” she replied.

Jung Ha-Yan’s eyes were filled with unprecedented anxiety.

All of a sudden, hideous-looking demons emerged from the darkness.

At the sight, Jung Ha-Yan realized that any explanation was useless because she started channeling her spells.

I abruptly froze from the pressure that instantly surrounded me. I turned my eyes and saw a figure walking out from among the hideous-looking demons. The high-ranked, hideous-looking demons walked to the side as if Moses were here to part the Red Sea.

I assumed that Belial himself would appear, but the approaching figure was a beautiful woman. The word beautiful would be an understatement to describe her because my jaw dropped to the floor when I clapped my eyes at her.

Her overall look was different from ordinary women, which could be a bit of a problem for some people, but she was beautiful overall.

- Hm

She looked around slowly and started petting a large hellhound. She wasn’t really doing anything else, but her presence was enough to make me feel pressured. Her pallid visage and purple eyes were scary, but her clothes which were made out of wriggling tentacles rather than fabric, were scarier.

Her hair was also made out of squirming snakes.

She had an extremely beautiful face, but the grotesque tentacles all over her disgusted me.

‘Ew, gross.’

Obviously, the hostility she was sending toward me made me feel more nauseous than her appearance.

‘Shit… You’re with Belial, right?’

[Checking the status window of the Semi-Mythic Rank Named Monster, Rimoura.]

[Name - Rimoura]

[Title - High Priest of the 27th Legion, Rank 1,692 Demon Lord, Belial’s Loyal Priest]

[Age - 666]

[Nature - Loyal Egoist]

[Stats]

[Only limited information is available, so her stats cannot be displayed. She is currently suffering from a penalty after being summoned to the real world, so her stats have decreased slightly.]

Detailed information wasn’t available, but I felt like I didn’t really need to check. The fact that she was a Semi-Mythic Named Monster was enough—enough for me to realize the depths of her power.

- Nice to meet you. I’m Rimoura, the high priest of the 27th Legion.

“...”

- I thought… I thought I was just imagining things when I smelled a foul and nauseating light somewhere… It seems that today is my lucky day. I didn’t expect that I’ll stumble upon Benigoa’s Second Coming. I have just descended, so this is a pleasant surprise.

She abruptly stared at me, which caught me off guard. However, I started nodding when I saw the friendliness hidden in the depths of her gaze.

‘Wow… she’s a great actress.’

As expected from a demon under Belial. She looked like she was enjoying all this as well, but I was surprised by the fact that a demon as powerful as her was actually summoned to the real world.

Naturally, I didn’t think that…

‘...Jung Ha-Yan and Han Sora summoned her. I don’t think they summoned here.’

Belial was most likely her summoner. It was difficult to summon demons into the real world, and I was certain that it was more difficult to summon a demon at her level.

However, Belial managed to summon her, which meant that Belial had basically gone against the system.

‘Perhaps there’s a rift in the system, and they’re exploiting that?’

They were probably exploiting a hole in the system.

‘It could have been a more serious issue…’

I was relieved that Belial was the manager of the rift because if it had been a hard-liner… Actually, there was no need to make that kind of assumption because there wasn’t a human who was on the same level as the great Demon Lords.

While I was having many different thoughts, Jung Ha-Yan was staring at Rimoura. She was staring at Rimoura in a daze, so I couldn’t help but think that the two of them were talking telepathically, like what Belial and I had been doing all this time.

Jung Ha-Yan had caused all this, so perhaps there was an ongoing negotiation.

She hadn’t successfully established a contract with Belial, but she could still be considered his summoner.

‘Our Ha-Yan really grew a lot stronger than before...’

I wanted to compliment her for not casting her channeled spells upon seeing Rimoura, but their negotiations naturally didn’t go as planned. Rimoura’s goal was to kidnap me, so their conversation was meaningless.

I was sure that Rimoura was just playing along, and my presumption was correct because Jung Ha-Yan frowned. Her breathing was starting to get rough, and her eyes turned bloodshot as well.

I wasn’t really sure what they were talking about, but Jung Ha-Yan looked like she was losing her temper.

- Normally, I would agree, but right now, I want that man. Sorry, little mage. There’s no room for negotiation.

“Ha-Yan? Are you…”

As expected, the negotiation didn’t work out. Rimoura replied to Jung Ha-Yan out loud, which prompted me to look at Jung Ha-Yan as if I was asking for an explanation.

Jung Ha-Yan looked nervous. Her eyes frantically darted around to look for an excuse, but she didn’t have the luxury to think about something like that because Rimoura abruptly vanished and grabbed my shoulder as well as Jung Ha-Yan’s shoulder.

Ah…

‘She’s fast.’

Goosebumps broke out all over me. The surprised Jung Ha-Yan started casting her channeled spells, but she flew toward a distant corner with a loud boom.

I couldn’t tell if she got injured, but the noise was so loud that I thought she broke a bone or two.

“Go easy on her,” I requested.

- I won’t kill her. I’m planning on sending her away safely. If the woman dies, the method to summon us here will disappear along with her, so why would I do something stupid like that? Belial requested the same thing, so don’t worry too much about it.

“Thank you, beautiful Rimoura,” I said.

- You’re a sweet talker, just like I’ve heard. I should be the one thanking you. It has been a while since I descended into the real world, and… it’s really hard to find a human that is as disgusting as you nowadays.

“Thank… you… for the compliment,” I said hesitantly.

After our small talk, I looked in Jung Ha-Yan’s direction and saw her standing up while repeatedly coughing. She saw Rimoura holding my shoulder, and I saw flames erupting in her eyes.

- Go away, you stupid human. I’m indebted to you, so I won’t take your life. And I would like to thank you as well. It has been a while since I discovered such a delicious human…

‘Ah… So that’s what they were talking about.’

I finally understood why flames erupted in Jung Ha-Yan’s eyes.

“R-Remove your hand. Cough…!” Jung Ha-Yan stuttered.

- Didn’t I tell you? I’m excited… Personally, I enjoy corrupting humans like him… You should just think that you got unlucky this time.

“R-Remove your hand…” she repeated.

- I told you to go away if you don’t want to die. This is the least that I can do for you.

“I told you… r-remove your hand,” she said once again.

- And I told you that I don’t want to.

‘Stop provoking her…’

Of course, I wanted the situation to become more dramatic, but I couldn’t help but feel nervous. In addition, Rimoura’s tentacles started wrapping around me, and I could see that she was really enjoying this.

Her mysterious tentacles even started moving beneath my clothes.

‘S-Shit, what’s going on? Don’t do this. What’s wrong with you?’

- You’re cuter than I thought.

‘Hey… don’t do this. Ah… ahhh…!’

I unknowingly squirmed, but I knew that what I was feeling couldn’t be compared to what Jung Ha-Yan was feeling right now. I honestly couldn’t even begin to imagine what it would feel like to witness your man being humiliated right in front of your eyes.

‘29 years old… m-my hobby is…’

This was definitely an unprecedented situation for her.

“H-Ha-Yan. Run… run away,” I stuttered.

“Remove. Your. Hand,” Jung Ha-Yan said.

- I don’t want to…

“R-Remove your… hand… q-quickly before… I k-k-kill you… Heuk…! Let him go… Let him go!” she yelled. Jung Ha-Yan was very aggrieved because she started crying.

At the sight, I felt anxious about what would happen afterward.

“Please… stop provoking her, Miss Rimoura,” I requested.

- Didn’t you want to fix that habit of hers?

“Still, please send her away,” I told her.

‘I feel uncomfortable.’

- Hm, I thought you’d be happy. It looks like you want to get out of this situation quickly.

“I’m happy, but I’m honestly feeling nervous as well,” I replied.

‘This is dangerous.’

I wasn’t talking about Rimoura. I was talking about the unstable Jung Ha-Yan. She kept on talking to herself, and the way she was mumbling amplified my anxiety. I could see that she was beyond angry at this point.

This wasn’t the first time that this had happened because her fury had been the reason behind the incident in Laios and in the Cursed Shrine. However, I felt that she would show me something different this time—something that she had never shown before.

‘Damn it…’

My gut feeling had never been wrong. There were times when Jung Ha-Yan managed to suppress her anger and behave herself.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of those times. Jung Ha-Yan was mumbling something while biting her nails, but she suddenly shook her messy hair and spoke in a way that terrified me. “I-I’m going to… I-I’m going to kill you…!”

- This is fun.

“Remove… that hand… you… you dirty and low life… b-bitch…! Remove your hand!!! Don’t touch my oppa with those dirty hands. I-I’m going to kill you!!! Kill you!!! Cough! I’m going to kill you!!! I’ll rip you apart! Cough! Cough!! I’m going to kill you!!!” Jung Ha-Yan screamed.

- …

“...”

“I’ll kill youuuuuu!” she yelled.

I couldn’t tell who was the demon between the two.
