Chapter 408: Dialugia, Juliana (2) |
Crack! Craaack!
Some looked up as if they couldn’t believe their eyes, some had to pick their jaws up from the ground, while some even rubbed their eyes to check whether they were hallucinating or not. I was sure they had heard by now that I had a dragon, but there was a difference between seeing and hearing. It was especially the case for the natives of this continent.
I could understand their reaction because Dialugia was so big they had to look all the way up just to clap their eyes at her entire body. Dialugia’s large eyes, large fangs, and claws instilled fear into the enemy soldiers’ hearts. Her glossy black scales looked harder than any armor out there, and I was pretty sure it was the case. After all, her endurance was high enough that she could ignore attacks, and her base magic resistance was incredibly high as well.
I felt proud. Of course, they easily focus me down, but Dialugia was the best and the most reliable ally when it came to a battlefield like this.
“I…”
“Attack! Attack! Use your magic!”
“It’s a dragon! A dragon!”
“Attack its wings! Wings! If we do as we were told, we can take it down!”
“Task force location confirmed! Dragon task force location!”
Craaackle!
“Huh?”
Boooom!
It felt like mana was being sucked into a vacuum. After taking a deep breath, Dialugia unleashed her Breath. She was starting to get pushed back by her own skill as a large shied protected the place where her Breath landed. However, the shield started cracking not long after. Her Breath went through the cracks and injured the enemy soldiers. She was unleashing her Breath in a way that made her seem like she was venting out her frustration about how she was the only one raising our daughter. As expected, her Breath was powerful enough for me to piss my pants at the sight of it.
I had no idea how much strength she used, but her strength made me feel relieved.
‘I love you, wifey!’
I unknowingly started cheering for her, and even though I wanted to perform a masked dance, I felt sad about not being able to do that. If it weren’t for the people around us, I would have already run up to her leg and started kissing her. Dialugia was doing that much damage to the enemy soldiers,
Meanwhile, someone else was doing her job as well, even though the method was a bit different from Dialugia.
The ego sword that could move on its own flew through the narrow and enclosed battlefield and pierced through the ordinary soldiers’ throats. I was sure this wouldn’t work on skilled soldiers, but many soldiers couldn’t handle her. Everyone was amazed at how a single sword was moving around so fast and agile like a mosquito.
‘This is why people want an ego sword!’
I wouldn’t deny that I was the type of person who was strong against the weak but weak against the strong. Still, I could have never imagined that my damaging abilities would match my personality.
‘People Slaughterer!’
The nickname sounded kind of bad for me to say it myself, but there wasn’t a word that described my damaging abilities better than that. Obviously, I smiled brightly, and that was when I heard a voice in my head.
- Did I get here on time?
- Gedric! My Gedric!
- Honey, I asked you if I arrived here on time!
- My Gedric! Where have you been all this time?! How come all this time…
- It’s been a while. What have you been doing all this time… Aren’t you curious about how Max and Luria have been doing? It’s really difficult to even see your face recently. Have you already recovered? You had to have been in a lot of pain. Yes, I’m sure of it.
- Gedric! Gedric!
- Are you listening to me? Say something if you can hear me!
- Gedriiiic!
The way they talked to me made me feel dizzy, but I was actually happy. Honestly, this was the first time I felt happy about hearing Dialugia’s nagging and Juliena crying out for Gedric. It seemed like they couldn’t hear each other because they were just saying what they wanted to say. My ears started ringing, but I was ready to listen to any nagging or crazy words. Of course, I decided to listen to Dialugia first.
“No, you got here just in time, Dialugia. How’s our Smartie doing?”
- She’s doing fine. I don’t know where she heard the news that you were sick, but I suffered a lot trying to stop her from following you. It was really difficult.
“It would’ve been fine if you told her that it wasn’t anything serious.”
- How was I supposed to explain to her how her father hasn’t been calling home recently? Of course, I understand that you have your own life and job to do, but… please refrain from neglecting your family because of useless wars like this. Max is very sad as well. Once this war is over, please make sure you spend a lot of time with Luria.
“Of course. I’ll definitely do that.”
- I don’t understand why humans waste time like this every time…
“I’m sure you know, but we didn’t start this war. They started this war. I’m doing this to protect our precious place of life, so I believe you’ll understand my situation, Dialugia. If we just leave them be, their soldiers will march to Lindel, where our precious nest is located, what do you think is worse than that? While you were protecting our family from the inside, you can think of it as me protecting our family from the outside.”
- …
“Ahem, ahem.”
- You don’t really lose a single argument. You’re just… Whew…
“I mean, I’m telling the truth.”
Dialugia seemed frustrated as she vented once again, but I was sure she couldn’t retort my words because I could see from the way she was moving her tail that she was calming down.
“More than that…”
- You don’t have to worry about that human named Park Deok-Gu. On the way here, I dropped off the person who could help.
“Who?”
- The red-headed human. The person named Cha Hee-Ra.
“Y-Yolo…”
- What does yolo mean?
I knew that someone had to help Park Deok-Gu, but when I heard that Cha Hee-Ra was the one helping him, I felt like a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders, which made me smile brightly.
I knew that with Cha Hee-Ra there, there was no way they wouldn’t be able to crush the Russian Park Deok-Gu.
“It’s nothing. Please prepare to move for now. It’ll be dangerous if we stay here, and it’ll be great if you could fly up and keep watch of the battle. Actually… I think it’s best if we head to the main forces together.”
- Okay.
The conversation was formal and stiff for it to be a conversation between a married couple who had just met after a long time, but I thought that it wasn’t so bad. I couldn’t really concentrate on the conversation because I had to keep moving, and Juliena continued talking to me, which made it even more difficult. Even now, she kept calling for Gedric, so I had no choice but to change the channel and start talking to Juliena because she was already screaming for Gedric.
- Gedric! My voice! Can’t you hear my voice? Gedric! Gedric! Gedriiiiiic! Gedriiiic!
After taking a deep breath, I replied. I wasn’t ready to meet Juliena yet, but the basic story had long been stored in my head.
“Ahh, my Juliena. How did you come here?”
- Gedric! My voice has reached you! Gedric! My everything. My love. My everything! What have you been doing all this time? Gedric! My Gedric!
“It’s because of them that I haven’t been able to see you. Those dirty demons locked me up, tortured me, and threatened me. You have no idea how much I’ve missed you. My Juliena!”
- Ah…
“These demons are trying to turn this continent into a demon’s nest.”
The only reason I had been avoiding Juliena was because of how she sucked my mana out last time. The excuse I gave wasn’t perfect, but it was a decent excuse. Of course, I had to give more information. I thought perhaps it would be a good idea to speak words of love, but based on her reaction, I didn’t think that an explanation was necessary.
- Those… dirty bastards. Those dirty! How dare those dirty bastards!
“...”
- I-I’ll tear them to pieces. I’ll tear you all to pieces!
“What’s going on?”
- Those scums! H-how dare they?!
A dark, ominous energy started appearing around Juliena. The ominous energy coalesced to form a faint figure.
‘That crazy…’
[The Legendary weapon, the Cursed Sword Juliena’s uncontrollable rage has forcefully awakened her.]
“What does that mean…”
[Juliena’s seal has been temporarily lifted, and she will now materialize. - Duration: 1 Hour]
“What?”
- You bastards, you bastards, you bastards! How dare you! How dare you! How dare you try to get in the way of Gedric and me? How dare youuu!
“...”
‘She’s crazy…!’
My jaw dropped at the sight. I looked at Juliena after seeing the system messages, and I saw that she was actually materializing. She looked exactly like the time we saw her at the Cursed Shrine. Her hair was messy, and she didn’t have eyes.
The grotesque-looking crazy woman stood up while wielding her sword, but she seemed unaware of the fact that she had a body.
Seeing her swinging her sword while screaming made it seem like she was difficult to control, and she seemed stronger than the time we saw her at the Cursed Shrine. One could easily deduce her rank as a Legendary weapon just by looking at her once.
- How dare youuuuu! How dare you! My Gedric… You locked up my Gedric! Again, again! You threat—did you rape him? All of you?! Did all of you did?!
I had never told her that I got sexually assaulted.
- Know your place! I-I’ll curse you! Curse! I’ll curse you!! I’ll curse all of you!! You’ll be in pain even in the afterlife. Forever! You’ll forever be in pain!
I got scared at Juliena’s grotesque appearance, but the soldiers were even more shocked than me. In addition to cursing them, she even summoned black tentacles all over the place to and ripped the nearby enemies apart.
The way she kept on screaming made her seem like a woman who had sold her soul to a demon.
‘I should pretend like she isn’t here.’
It was the right thing to do.
