Chapter 333: An Abundance of Talent

[Superhuman·Silver Bobbit Worm: ☆☆☆★★]: Level 2 Sharp Mouthparts, Level 1 Corrosive Gastric Fluid, Level 1 Silver Bloodline

The Bobbit worms that were only as thick as an adult's arm before could be four or five meters long, while the one before their eyes, as thick as an adult's torso... its body length likely exceeded ten meters.

Sure enough, as it crawled out of its hole, its densely packed sharp claws, like steel blades, were embedded in the walls. The sturdy scales on its back no longer shimmered with a glazed luster but were a pure, bright silver.

Its claws, its mouthparts, its entire body, every part was the same color.

It didn't look like a living creature, but more like a sculpture cast from solid silver.

The Fish-man Chieftain wore a serious expression; it sensed a thick threat from this worm.

This was no ordinary worm anymore!

"!"

Mogu vanished from his spot, his fist smashing heavily onto the Silver Bobbit Worm's body.

The Silver Bobbit Worm was slammed entirely into the wall. The spot struck by the fist caved in, covered in a web of fine cracks.

Even so, after taking that punch, it still wasn't dead. It just shook its head and hurriedly tried to crawl towards the nearest hole.

Mogu grabbed its tail and flung it backward.

The Silver Bobbit Worm was slammed onto the ground. It coiled its body into a ball, then, sensing something, tried to burrow into the nearest hole on the floor.

That's right. All around this inner chamber, whether above, below, left, or right, there were holes everywhere.

The Fish-man Chieftain reached out and grabbed its tail. The Silver Bobbit Worm, which had only managed to scuttle a couple of steps, suddenly whipped its head around and ferociously bit towards the Fish-man Chieftain.

*I might not dare to bite him, but I dare to bite you!*

The Fish-man Chieftain reacted, releasing its grip on the tail and taking half a step back.

Mogu, arriving later but striking first, stomped on its spine and pressed down hard.

He snapped its spinal column.

The Silver Bobbit Worm writhed laboriously on the ground.

"Very tough. About the same as the Thousand-Eyed Snake," Mogu gave his assessment.

Qin Ziwen couldn't help but take another look at the writhing worm on the ground. That was high praise. One had to remember the Thousand-Eyed Snake was a four-solid-star creature, a full two solid stars higher than this one.

"Kill it," Qin Ziwen said.

They still had to operate at the bottom of the sea next. This Silver Bobbit Worm seemed much fiercer than the previous ones.

Probably only Mogu could handle it so easily. Judging by the speed and reactions it had just shown, both he and the Fish-man Chieftain would have had a real fight on their hands to subdue it, even if they could.

"Alright." This time, Mogu exerted force, grabbing its head and neck, and gave a sharp twist.

The head twisted like a pretzel, almost wrenched right off.

"Hmm?" Mogu released his grip. His palm had actually been pierced by a small wound from the worm's tusks during the twisting.

Qin Ziwen gained a higher understanding of its ferocity.

Of course, this thing was fierce, but it was also quite large. Qin Ziwen estimated that if they took it back to boil down, they could harvest a few drops of Silver Blood.

Its abilities specifically listed a Silver Bloodline, so the blood concentration definitely wouldn't be low.

The trio continued forward. Qin Ziwen could sense that something seemed to be hiding in the surrounding holes.

However, perhaps intimidated by the corpse of the Silver Bobbit Worm Mogu was carrying, these hidden things never dared to show themselves.

Finally, after walking for another dozen or so minutes, the path ahead suddenly opened up.

Qin Ziwen's steps halted, stunned by the sight before him.

Ahead was an incredibly wide cavern.

Inside the cavern, countless thick, python-like and fine, web-like "roots" crisscrossed and intertwined.

They resembled an inverted, complex network of stone roots, all converging at the very center where a massive stone sphere hung suspended.

The stone sphere was about ten meters in diameter, its surface covered in incredibly dense spiral patterns.

Directly below the stone sphere was a pool of clear water.

Even though they were already at the seabed, the water at the bottom was distinctly separate from the surrounding seawater, like water within water. The surface of this inner water was covered with a faint layer of white mist.

Visible to the naked eye, at the bottom of this inner water, over a dozen large Silver Bobbit Worms swam. Even the smallest among them was larger than the one they had just hunted.

The most eye-catching among them was a robust, majestic figure as thick as a white dragon.

Just by looking at its body length, it was estimated to be no less than thirty meters.

Its head had even grown two long, slender white feelers.

Mogu stared at it for a good while, then his gaze shifted upward, landing on the cavern ceiling. There, hanging upside down, was a grayish-white, chilling figure whose color blended extremely well with the surrounding rock walls.

Its spider legs spread out, comparable in size to a small building, merging seamlessly with the environment.

And floating in the surrounding air were many translucent, umbrella-shaped jellyfish.

These umbrella-shaped jellyfish weren't very large. The small ones were only palm-sized, the larger ones three or four meters wide. The largest one was a full ten meters wide. It was like a tree, with all the other jellyfish attached to its underside, hiding within its bell-shaped body.

[Superhuman·Spirit-Sheath Jellyfish: ☆☆★★★]: Level 3 Neurotoxin, Level 3 Hemotoxin

Its star rating seemed the lowest, but this thing looked the most poisonous.

Superhuman creatures that were extremely rare in the outside world were commonplace here. It could truly be called an abundance of talent.

The arrival of Qin Ziwen and his companions didn't seem to attract the attention of the other creatures in the cavern.

Each was busy with its own affairs.

Under the water, the Bobbit Worms swam about on their own.

The jellyfish floating in the middle hid under the belly of the largest one, extending long tentacles to pierce into the surrounding stone network of roots, drawing out a faint, milky-white substance.

And the spider at the very top, solitary and alone, lay quietly there, motionless, as if asleep.

Qin Ziwen looked at the Fish-man Chieftain. *You didn't bring us here just to hunt these superhuman creatures, did you? I really thank you for that.*

While there were many superhuman creatures here, there were also *way* too many of them!

And every single one of them seemed like it wouldn't be easy to deal with. Plus, making too much of a commotion might attract the attention of the other creatures.

"It's inside that stone sphere in the middle. There's a good thing... just..."

*Just how is this different from what was recorded on the stone tablet!!!*

Although the stone tablet also recorded that there were some monsters here.

But what it wrote was a spider "five meters" big, a jellyfish three or four meters wide, and a group of silver-colored long worms at the bottom, the longest being no more than ten meters or so.

As long as you moved quickly, there wasn't much danger.

Damn it, this stone tablet was recorded decades ago.

Could it be that in these past few decades, they all... grew up?

"I smell it." Mogu ignored the other creatures. His gaze locked directly onto the stone sphere in the center. Ever since entering this place, he had felt his entire body's blood growing excited, trembling.

Inside that stone sphere, something was calling to him.
