Chapter 301: Knowledge Transformation |
Can knowledge one has mastered really be transformed in this way?
Inside the bright book tower, Qin Ziwen held a book in his palm. This was a book he had just transformed—"Elementary Mathematics."
What was very interesting was that the words and style within this book gave him a familiar feeling.
Whether it was the writing style or the presentation habits, it made him suspect that he might have secretly created a pen name at some point.
Qin Ziwen closed his eyes and thought for a moment.
He discovered that after transforming his knowledge into a book, the knowledge in his mind had not disappeared. This indicated that this transformation did not take away the knowledge, but rather copied it.
After thinking for a moment, Qin Ziwen decided to take out his most confident archery skills for transformation.
Since obtaining the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery, he had diligently practiced archery.
As his thoughts turned, the knowledge in his mind gushed out like flowing water. In the empty space before his eyes, a book with a deep blue-green cover materialized from nothing, its pages coalescing out of thin air one by one.
Qin Ziwen: ???
When I type question marks, it's not that I have a problem, it's that I think you have a problem.
My superb archery skills actually only earned me an "Elementary Archery" rating?!
Qin Ziwen's face darkened.
No, I need to find someone to settle this properly.
Qin Ziwen walked out of the Hundred Schools Book Tower and called for Du Yu.
"Master." Du Yu walked into the book tower somewhat confused, looking around.
The interior of the book tower used a brick and stone structure, with an oil lamp hanging on each of the six walls.
The central area was rows upon rows of empty bookshelves.
On the third row, leftmost position of one of these bookshelves, two thin booklets were placed.
Beneath the surrounding oil lamps, wooden tables and stools were arranged against the windows.
"Take a look at this 'Elementary Archery' book, see what you think." Qin Ziwen casually pulled out the book from the third row and handed it to Du Yu, asking for his appraisal.
Du Yu's eyes flickered slightly. He took the booklet with both hands, opened it, and examined it seriously, nodding frequently.
"Reporting to Master, the content in this booklet is standard, the fundamentals are quite solid. It is enough to see that the author put in considerable hard work on the path of archery," Du Yu replied respectfully.
"Good. Then try to condense the archery knowledge in your own mind into a book." Qin Ziwen taught Du Yu how to use the functions of the Hundred Schools Book Tower.
Upon hearing this, Du Yu's forehead quietly broke out in a trace of cold sweat.
He carefully recalled the content of his conversation with his master just now, confirmed there were no slips, and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
No wonder the content in the booklet seemed somewhat familiar...
Subsequently, Du Yu closed his eyes.
Before him, an orange-yellow book materialized from nothing, slowly appearing, its pages flipping one by one, finally transforming into a rather substantial book.
Qin Ziwen took it and checked the cover: "Intermediate Archery."
A flicker of surprise passed through Qin Ziwen's eyes. Even Du Yu's archery skills could only earn an "Intermediate Archery" rating?
It seemed the Hundred Schools Book Tower's criteria for judging knowledge were quite strict.
For ordinary people, the knowledge they possessed probably couldn't even meet the minimum standard to be rated as a booklet.
Qin Ziwen opened the book and carefully examined the content of "Intermediate Archery."
The more he read, the more he nodded frequently. Closing the book, he shut his eyes, savoring the content.
For a moment, he felt quite touched.
"So that's how it is." Qin Ziwen felt that if he went to practice archery now, with the guidance from "Intermediate Archery" and the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery's ability to let him grasp higher-level techniques in advance, the two would combine and corroborate each other. The speed of his progress would absolutely be beyond imagination.
"Being able to combine practice and learning, how could progress not be fast?" Qin Ziwen sighed with emotion. He had a premonition that this place would probably become a new check-in spot in the future.
In the evening, the forest teams returned one after another.
Zhao Pu was counting people behind the portal.
After waiting for nearly ten minutes with no one else coming through the door, Qin Ziwen asked Zhao Pu, "Is the count correct?"
"Two haven't returned yet." Zhao Pu lowered his head to look at the booklet in his hand, flipping through it. "They are two residents from Building 7, a married couple."
"Let's wait a bit longer." Qin Ziwen said. He walked past the backtrack point. On the other side of the backtrack point, the sky was growing dark. In the surrounding mountains, the howls of wolves and the roars of unknown beasts sounded from time to time.
The distant mountain ranges, hidden under the night sky, rose and fell in silhouette.
On the other side of Home, Zhao Pu's face was gloomy as he angrily berated the small team leader below. "What's going on! Are these two people from your team or not? Where are they! The Guild Leader asked me if everyone was back, do you know how awkward I felt then!"
Opposite Zhao Pu was a brawny, short-haired man with a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
Scolded by Zhao Pu, the brawny man's face darkened. "Mr. Zhao, I will deal with this properly later."
Zhao Pu's expression eased slightly. "Zhou Xian, your usual performance has been good. Last time during the Bloody Battle of Ascending the Tower, you also led from the front, joining the vanguard. That's why, out of the thirty teams this time, I recommended you as captain. Other teams had no issues, only your team has a problem. What will the Guild Leader think? What will others think?"
Zhou Xian felt somewhat ashamed. "I understand."
"Alright, everyone's here." Qin Ziwen walked over, followed by a married couple.
This couple followed behind Qin Ziwen, whispering to each other, chatting and laughing.
"I brought them over. As long as everyone's here, that's fine." Qin Ziwen said and then left.
After Qin Ziwen left, Zhao Pu glanced at Zhou Xian. Zhou Xian walked over, his face gloomy as he stared at the two. "Where did you go just now?"
The man from the couple smiled and said, "Captain, my wife needed to use the bathroom just now, so I took her to the side. We didn't hear the order to return."
"Leaving the team without permission, why didn't you report it?" Zhou Xian's expression was blank.
"My wife needed the bathroom. I thought such a small thing didn't need reporting," the man said, waving his hand dismissively. "Next time, next time I'll definitely report it."
"Using the bathroom takes this long? Over half an hour?" Zhou Xian pressed step by step, his gaze sharp.
The man rubbed his nose and gave a hollow laugh. "My wife's stomach was uncomfortable. Ah, well, we're back now, aren't we?"
"Still lying. What's in your pocket?" Zhou Xian looked at the man's pocket.
The pocket at the man's waist was bulging.
"Nothing." The man was somewhat flustered, but his reaction was a moment too slow.
Zhou Xian pulled out a black plastic bag from his pocket. The bag was filled with fresh mushrooms.
A trace of embarrassment at being exposed appeared on the man's face. His wife walked over and hurriedly said, "Captain, these mushrooms were meant as a gift for you and Mr. Zhao."
The man said, "Ah, right, right, right. I knew of a place with mushrooms, so I took my wife to pick some."
"You knew of a resource point, so why didn't you report it in advance?" Zhou Xian's face remained expressionless. "According to the rules of this operation, all teams act collectively. Collected resources are pooled and then distributed based on contribution. What you did was private work."
"According to the rules, all gains from unauthorized actions are confiscated. You are expelled from the team and prohibited from participating in any collective actions for one month. After the probation period ends, the ban will be reviewed based on your performance to decide whether to lift it."
