Chapter 164: Extreme Mission

"Alright, let's go home first and talk there."

Qin Ziwen returned home, entered his room, and closed the door.

He took out the dark gold Limit Breakthrough Card and handed it to Du Yu.

Du Yu took the card, took a deep breath, silently chanted 'use', and the card in his hand exploded with a bang, transforming into a sky full of dark golden light points that merged into his body.

Du Yu closed his eyes. A moment later, he opened them.

"Master, the mission I received is divided into three tiers, each representing a different path.

The first tier has the lowest difficulty. With perseverance and courage, an ordinary person shouldn't find it too hard to complete. The second tier has very high difficulty, almost impossible for an ordinary person to complete. The third tier... even if I attempt it, it would be a nine-deaths-one-life scenario."

"What are the specific tasks?"

"My first-tier task is a migration on foot: walk fifty miles in the wilderness without stopping and without stepping on the same footprint twice. Upon completion, I can break through and become a 'Migrator'.

The second-tier task is to single-handedly hunt and kill ten carnivorous dragon-type creatures within one week. These dragon-type creatures must weigh at least twice my own weight and be in a healthy state. After each kill, I must bathe in their dragon blood. Completing this challenge allows me to become a 'Dragon Hunter'.

The third-tier task is to single-handedly hunt a healthy creature weighing a thousand times my own body weight. Upon completion, I can obtain an exclusive path."

"A thousand times?"

Hearing the difficulty of the last task, Qin Ziwen couldn't help but doubt if this was something a human could even do.

Remember, this is restricted to solo hunting.

If it's an ordinary person weighing a hundred catties, then they would need to single-handedly hunt a fifty-ton healthy creature.

That's equivalent to asking a person to solo hunt an Argentinosaurus or a Seismosaurus.

But note, most adult males generally weigh more than a hundred catties. If they maintain exercise and have sufficient muscle mass, their weight can generally reach 150 catties or even more.

In that case, even a Seismosaurus would require an extreme individual among them to meet the requirement.

"Can poisoning be used?" Qin Ziwen asked.

Du Yu said, "Yes, but on the condition that the collection, processing, and use of the venom are all done by me alone, with no one else participating in any step."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "Including making some large traps or tool weapons is also allowed, but the premise is that from the mining of the raw materials to the production and processing of these tools, everything must be done by me alone. Also, thermal weapons are prohibited."

At this point, Du Yu looked puzzled. "Master, what are thermal weapons?"

"They're a kind of small toy from my Earth hometown," Qin Ziwen shook his head, then asked, "So, are you planning to do the second tier or the third tier?"

After thinking for a moment, Du Yu said, "Master, I plan to do the second-tier task. The third tier is too difficult. Whether it's finding prey, making tools, or the hunting action itself, it's all very hard. In comparison, the second tier is simpler. As long as I choose suitable targets, completing it shouldn't be too difficult."

Only Du Yu could say something like this. For anyone else, single-handedly hunting dinosaurs weighing more than twice their own weight, and hunting ten of them within a week's time limit...

The difficulty is absolutely not low.

Qin Ziwen said, "Don't accept it yet. Let's wait until we find suitable targets."

"Yes," Du Yu nodded. After a pause, he added, "Master, after activating the Limit Breakthrough Card, I have a countdown. I must make a choice within three days."

"Three days... that's fine, it's enough," Qin Ziwen said. "The most important thing for you right now is to go and forge suitable weapons yourself. With three days, I'll have Li Tieshan teach you. Forging a single weapon shouldn't be too difficult."

Qin Ziwen came out of the room.

He planned to go find Zou Jianghe and Luo Gang to ask if they had discovered traces of other carnivorous dinosaurs.

Just as he arrived outside Zou Jianghe's house, he heard a woman's wailing cries coming from inside.

"Who is it?"

"It's me."

Someone inside opened the door. Qin Ziwen entered and saw Zou Jianghe sitting on the sofa. Across from him sat a woman covering her face and crying bitterly.

The woman's shoulders kept shaking, her hands covering her face.

"You came just in time," Zou Jianghe said to Qin Ziwen. "I was just about to send someone to ask you to come over."

Qin Ziwen glanced at the woman, then looked at Zou Jianghe, his eyes filled with confusion.

Zou Jianghe said, "Let's wait a bit. I'll explain when Luo Gang arrives."

Not long after, Luo Gang arrived.

Seeing everyone was present, Zou Jianghe said, "Just this morning, one of our Alliance's hunting teams that went northwest was attacked by native creatures.

Out of the ten people in the hunting team, only three returned. The other seven are gone."

"Seven are gone?" Luo Gang found it hard to believe. Even during that night attack by the Giant Hyaenodon pack, they didn't lose that many people, right?

"That terrain is special; the land has become severely desertified. According to the descriptions of those who escaped, they were attacked in the desert. The attackers came from underground, able to travel beneath the desert sand. Based on the appearance description, it should be Desert Giant Worms.

These Desert Giant Worms are about as thick as a cow, with body lengths exceeding ten meters. They can directly drag people into the sand dunes. If you're not prepared, I suggest your people avoid going there recently."

Luo Gang pondered, "Alright. Can those Desert Giant Worms only travel through sand? Can they enter the ground in the Gobi Desert?"

Zou Jianghe shook his head, "They probably can't. After they escaped the desert area, they weren't attacked again."

Luo Gang said, "Good, this information is very important. My students actually discovered that desert yesterday too; they were planning to go there tomorrow."

Qin Ziwen, sitting on the sofa nearby, spoke up, "I also have some information to share. Yesterday, while investigating south, we discovered traces of a Hadrosaur herd. They entered the eastern mountain ridge, crossed over it, and then continued moving eastward along the other side."

"A Hadrosaur herd?" Zou Jianghe felt it was a pity. "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Among the large group of seemingly carnivorous Level 2 mission targets, the Hadrosaur herd stood out uniquely.

As rare herbivores, he felt they should be the easiest to bully.

Qin Ziwen guessed his thoughts. "It's not that simple. I also encountered them suddenly in the wild. Those adult Hadrosaurs are all over ten meters long, and they are social creatures. There are at least seven or eight adult Hadrosaurs."

Hearing Qin Ziwen's description, Zou Jianghe now understood.

He couldn't help but smile bitterly. "Sounds like they're all quite difficult."

Qin Ziwen added, "However, it's not all bad news. Later, I had the Crowned Eagle track the direction of the Hadrosaur migration and discovered a sizable oasis. That oasis is about thirty to forty kilometers away from our residential complex."

Upon hearing there was an oasis, both men perked up. But upon hearing the distance, they both fell silent.

Luo Gang said gravely, "If we can't find enough suitable mission targets around the residential complex later, then we must go to this oasis. With a one-month mission deadline, we need to reserve at least half a month's time!"
