Zorian is a teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, attending his third year of education at Cyoria’s magical academy.

He is a driven and irritable young man, consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, whom he resents for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, he has no time for pointless distractions or paying attention to other people’s problems.

As it happens, time is something he is about to get plenty of. On the eve of the Cyoria’s annual summer festival, he is killed and brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take a train to Cyoria.

Suddenly trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, Zorian will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery before him. And he does have to unravel it, for the time loop hadn’t been made for his sake and dangers lurk everywhere…

Repetition is the mother of learning, but Zorian will have to first make sure he survives to try again — in a world of magic, even a time traveler isn’t safe from those who wish him ill. Collapse

It's good. Go read it if you even remotely liked the summary

It's one of those novels that are actually read like a real book, not just some badly made fan-fiction. It has a well thought out world(well above the level you would expect from a novel, borderline multi-work setting magnititude if anything), characters are consistent(somewhat bland and predictable at times, but still distinctive and intersting enough to keep you invested, also still levels above "usual' characters of novels). The story is quite grand, though moderately so, there won't be unimagenetive powerlevelling or any major power-fantasy, it does take a few turns and keeps the suspense till the very end. The writing itself is good as well, at least to my liking(though since i am not a native english speaker it doesn't really amount to much i guess), i never got the feeling that author is akward with his wording, or that he undersells/gloses over important details/or otherwise ruins a certain moment, it was quite smooth experience for me.

I just wanna say its so GOOD, throughout the story its good, and awesome how the author keep the story interesting even though its keep repeating whole month.

I'm sure if any author would try to pull off a story like this is so hard, he only have a one month but he still keep the story interesting unlike any other novel out there though they usually repetitive, but this? Nahh if you put aside the time loop, there's almost no repetitive arc, every time he finish some mission the author automatically create new arc.

The character development is good too,any would be annoyed why he still feel guilty doing bad things even though its a need, unlike any mc out there that would automatically changed attitude after experience like that, but even though he still remain his ethics which super realistic for his part, all in all his character dev. And for others is good.

The world building is good given that he is inside a time loop, the author still pull that off, i gonna compliment for that.

The writing? Man becausw the author rewrite most of the error, it's like flawless, and it's easy to understand because the writing skill of the author is good.

This would be 4.5 for my rating, even though is good there's still limitations given his only in a 1 month time loop, beside it's good, you can enjoy reading it.

As everyone has said it's a must read especially if you like time loops. Although there isn't any romance besides a maybe at the end we have a satisfying character transformation and mystery resolution that leaves practically no plot holes. My only question is how are they going to hide their abilities, and will they ever be able to make real friendships after going through that?

A must-read, without doubts! Certainly, there's quite a number of problems and issues that may annoy some people, but still, is by far the best time-looping work I have read or even heard.

Funnily enough, the hardest part of a novel based on time-loop is apparently maintaining the story interesting enough even while 'repeating' things again and again while avoiding plot-holes, and hell, this author managed to do that very well in my opinion.

Maybe because of this, even though some of the side-characters aren't that well developed or even similar to each other, it doesn't seem to be a problem, for the author always find a way of freshening the occurring events in a way that things continue to be new while using things that already repeated before.

The pace of the novel is what I fear may annoy some people but I sincerely liked it. The novel itself has VERY big chapters, each quite complete as a whole, rarely leaving that damned cliff-hanger behind, so it helps the reader to refresh a bit before jumping to the next - meaning, the author isn't the type of abusing of bridge-effect to roll the things.

A must-read, but there are several problems but overall pretty good novel.

Just finished reading and what a ride of an ending, holy shit that was... actually pretty good. There are some problems with pacing, some important stuff happens like really fast, like in the same chapter it's solved and other stuff that isn't that important or repetitive is prolonged through the novel which isn't that annoying but still, the world building is a little bit underwhelming, apart from what we see through the time loop there is little information about the world apart from recent (or not so recent) wars.

I didn't find characters personalities that similar, certainly there is similarity but not enough to be particularly remarkable, maybe it's because I created some traits of the characters in my mind unconsciously without they being in the novel hence I think they are different, to be honest I don't know, but the novel is pretty good, and I liked almost everything.

Idk why this site is suddenly adding so many royalroad novels. Like sure increased exposure is cool but literally all royalroad novels are already available to read entirely for free on that site so you might as well just go read them on there.

I think it's useful because sometimes when I get recommended something I don't know if it's a book novel, from webnovel, from royal road, or from some other random website. That's why I like this website, because it gathers all of them

A lot of the good novels on royal road have amazon deals and private their stories or just leave the first 20 or so chapters to hook you in.
