    I like a lot about this novel, however I am not a fan of the MC constantly hurting himself to get stronger and while he is fighting. It doesn't seem to really alter his character to go through so much pain.

    Author is writing with a tunnel vision, solely focussing of MC and his power trip. MC could be a man child and shows arrogance and disrespect at wrong people. When I said tunnel vision, I meant zero world building, you will wonder what the hell should I expect from MC, when all he does is train and gets some new power up every five chapters. His fight with mages are still unclear, I mean who is he suppose to fight, is it evil or shadow organization, neighbouring kingdom. Again zero world building. Author's Q&A style writing sometimes gets on my nerves.

    Looking at the comment I am just going to abandon trying to fing good web novels as most of them seem to be written by Chinese authors. And Chinese ppl have a very unique and materialistic way to define the word cool and badass. (source: don't worry I got it) I am just going for the old fashioned ways and read books from ppl who actually got awarded for their work.

      First off, there are lots of good chinese novels. The reason that so many bad ones also exist is that is is much easier to publish a novel online in China than it is in the US. That doesn’t mean that you can say that all Chinese authors are bad, because that is simply just racist.

      Secondly, as someone else mentioned, the vast majority of original works on Webnovel are not written by Chinese authors.

      Disregarding who wrote their novel, it doesn’t matter what novels you have read or what the situation is, generalizing large groups of people of a certain race with negative comments is always racist.

        Did I really said "all Chinese writers are trash?" or did I say that most of the WN I looked up seem to be written by Chinese ppl. And those got heavy critics and bad rating. I further added. They have quite the unique way to perceive success in life, which is true. Because every country has its own" American dream". So where is the racism? if I may ask.           That literally changes nothing. Chinese is an umbrella term that includes all the other groups you said. Just like how someone who lives in America can be a Californian or a Texan, but they are both still American. Just like how someone who lives in India can be Telugu or Gujarati, but both are still Indian.

      disregarding the chinese author thing (which is btw kinda true), I would suggest not believing most comments. You'll see comments absolutely hating on the novel, even if it's a fan favorite.
      The only things I would look out for in the comments is how good/bad the translation is.
