    You should try pet simulation, its pure gold I tell you. Too bad it only has about 90 or so chapter's translated.

    A solid 8/10 so far. The pet taming is fun, the arcs are all pretty solid, and the comedy lands. All of the characters are interesting and likable, the writing isn't bloated, and the dialogue is fun to follow and reads well.

    Points are dropped for the, at times, spotty TL, though it definitely improves after a rough patch in the 200s. The tournament arcs can be annoying sometimes too, but that's more because I prefer him kicking around in the ruins than anything. Pretty solid book for the most part.

    Well-paced, interesting, and imo one of the best pet-taming novels currently out there. Definitely beats all the others I've read.

    We'll see how it fares after the World Competition- hopefully we'll see less tournaments and more exploration. These novels do have a tendency to drop off in the mid-sections after all, so I'm eager to see how the author deals with his strength stablizing. Optimistic so far, though! Def give it a shot if you like this pet genre.

        Why is fey evolution merchant "hot trash"?
        Honestly I find it to be a lot better than most pet taming novels as It actually has a diverse species of pets and interesting ideas for each pet. Only downside I find is how slow the f#cking pace is..

          The pets in it are great- some of the better ones in the genre.
          The real let down is the writing, the characters, and the plot.
          It has so many f#cking interesting ideas, but everything is so flat. MC has no personality, side-characters have no personality, it's written in this artificial sort-of way that just does not appeal to me.

          Not to mention it falls into the classic trope of using a hundred words in place of ten; combine that with the slow pacing, and after a decent start, when you stop being enamored by his pets, you find a really dry, dull book underneath. The only thing holding that whole story up is the ideas and nothing else.

    The translation kinda got better after chap 220 except there are times where the T means I and the longer chaps are coming back so i will still stick to it for now

    It was good until chap 200 but from there the translation became very mtl like and i think the editor/translator split the long chaps to shorter ones which is kinda disappointing sigh

    Also what does the offtop button/title mean cuz i accidentaly pressed it but idk how to remove it
