    Slow-paced story with realistic characters who feels alive and has very fun interactions. It's a harem of 5 but don't worry since it has a very well written romance and you can't help but ship them together. All female leads are relevant to the story so they won't just disappear out of nowhere

    If you think it's like those garbage where the female leads instantly falls in love with the mc for whatever reason then lol no. They spend time together then get to know each other as time goes on and slowly develops feelings for each other(I still have trouble whether the best girl is Ellen or Harriet though)

    The protagonist is weak at first but he slowly grows stronger; a lot of readers are complaining due to how weak he is but he is steadily increasing his skills imo. Power system are similar to The Novel's Extra but I think this novel is a lot better than that; Be it drama, romance, school life or whatever

    - It's a 1st POV so expect a lot of monologue but I think it just has the right amount and doesn't feel very boring. Overall 10/10, if you like romance, school life, drama and a little bit of action then this is just the right novel for you

    TNE is ranked 2nd by my standards but this novel is by far the best one I've ever read. Honestly, I can't fully express how wonderfully written this novel is, so I just wrote this review to release a portion of my thoughts about this masterpiece. Hope it helped and have fun

      Can't disagree with "realistic characters" part. At least with MC. MC is someone who is pathetic enough to die due to reading negative comments, so author did a great job of portraying said "patheticness" through the story.

      I actually liked this part quite a bit, since MC doesn't do a 180° change and becomes an uber human. No, he is an average, albeit a pretty pathetic, novel author from the "modern" Earth. He is a bit childish, has a nasty temper, pretty awkward in personal relations. He is humane.

      But... Despite all of that, overall, he isn't that enjoyable to read about. This book would've been better with, well, "better" MC.

      P.S. Are you talking about the same TNE(The Novel's Extra)?

        I don't think mc is pathetic at all. I think you are only in the early chapters but his childish behavior were done for a reason and doesn't do anything outrageous without a reason. Also, the character development is smoothly taking progress alongside the story but he isn't the ideal mc who just kills everyone heartlessly. He's acting like a normal person would do but isn't annoying and boring that's why he is a realistic mc and the best one I've ever seen
        - Also yeah, it's The Novel's Extra. Really glad that novel got a manhwa, maybe TAPOV will be next??

          I read all translated chapters before writing my previous message. And yes, he is acting realistically, I wouldn't freak out much less, would blunder more, and, most likely, would bitch far more than he did lol. I appreciate his character development, and, as I said, I find it a positive thing, that he didn't just 180° in, what, 4 months that he is in this new world? He reminds me of Rudeus from "Mushoku Tensei" in this way. Doesn't make it easier to read about him, at least for me, tho.

          Don't misunderstand, I liked novel overall, but I still think that "better" MC would do it a favor.



          I don't think that TAPOV would get one tbh. The only English Original that got one, afaik, is "The Beginning After The End".

          Well your pov applies in the first 60 to 80 chapters. But the mc stops being as realistic and just remains pathetic. By the way, an overly realistic main character in a dnd style novel (isekai for that matter) is not very advisable. The only thing keeping readers here is the good harem, not the lackluster mc

    This novel is quite good in the beginning. The reason why i said 'in the beginning ' is because the mc do things his way without giving a shit about what people are going to say to him.

    But during the latest chapter, he's becoming more pathetic. He start caring about people gonna say, and become more dependant to others. He even stutter like a typical japanese mc when giving compliment to girl.

    Its a slow paced-school life with a little bit of action going on here and there. What's so fun about this is the smooth plot progression since its neither cliche or feels off. There's a lot of female leads so I think it would be harem(probably less than 5) and each of them has their characteristics unique to themselves. There's a lot of readers complaining about how the protagonist has op cheats as he could learn swordmanship and other talents with the achievement points however, he needs to earn them and you gotta remember its a slice of life; not some mc who wants to be the strongest and rule the world lmao. MC is quite unlikeable in the early chapters but he thinks of the consequences before taking action so you'll like him later on
    - If you like The Novel's Extra then this novel is a guaranteed must-read novel.
    Writing quality 10/10: absolutely well done
    - 1st Point of View
    Story Progression 9/10
    - if there's nothing important happening. there will be a bit of timeskip so there won't be any wasted chapters

    I like the novel but there are too much explanations. Author explains every action, why someone did this or that, what was it for, what would be if character didn't do that and a lot of more. Almost every chapter the half of it has some dum info which is useless for the plot. It is so boring and tough to read. Novel might be very awesome if author knew how to write right. You have to show the story, don't tell! sigh Imho, of course.

      Welp I did listen to this for a bit and kept reading with a appropriate level of cautiousness but so far the review is pretty wrong and I’m around 140 now. The current arcs, now after the Island, haven’t revolved around him dealing with the girls problems. I think he dealt with one upperclassmen’s problem and nearly caused a war after, and she didn’t really fall in love, she just teases him and he even acknowledged that if he ever confessed, she’d apologize for it just being some friendly teasing, but it’s the only time he’s really helped any girls. Also the most recent arc him being straight up kidnapped and using the small amount of influence and his status as a temple student to essentially take them over. It did revolve around Ellen’s POV of wanting to find him though, but that was mostly to flesh out her backstory rather than make her fall for him. Right now they’re at that level where Ellen has acknowledged him as an important friend, so no romantic feelings yet, and Reinhardt still believes he’s an adult compared to them. As for forgetting his Author abilities… is it really forgetting if he can’t used them? It’s even admitted by the system it’s overcharging him for everything to make life harder on him, though Rein didn’t really see it since it was a message that quickly flashed. That applies to not only to whatever talents he post, but also his advice thingy and future sight, with both of them taking an increasing amount of points so that he can’t just spam them.
