After 6,000 years of development by the immortal sect on Planet Earth, all of the leyline spiritual energy was controlled by the country.

They only released enough spiritual energy for the cultivators to breathe. If a cultivator wanted to use the spiritual energy to train themselves, they would have to pay the immortal sect for that.

Chen Mobai was a senior high school student at the Fifth High School of the Immortal Sect. He was studying for his entrance exam at the colleges of the immortal sect. His biggest dream was to achieve the Foundation Establishment Realm until he was transmigrated to a cultivation world.

“There’s no one here despite how dense the spiritual energy is?”

“Wait! Isn’t this the legendary spiritual herb? Are these not extinct here?”

“Huh? Is this the method to extract one’s Spiritual Root? Also, isn’t this a divine technique?”

“What a powerful cultivator! Please accept me as your disciple!”

As his life in the cultivation world continued, his dream changed. Collapse

Read up to ch 40, the constant lore dumps really make it impossible to have any sort of immersion with this novel. It's not terribly translated though, so if you've got nothing to pass the time on, it'll do.

    3/5.

When 80% of the chapter is info dumps with no connection to ongoing scenes, then yeah it gets jarring. The issue was the author uses this for every new thing, instead of letting the reader experience and speculate on things organically.

i would be fine even with that much lore tbh since it's just starting after all, if it's consistent in the later chapters then that would indeed be annoying, anyways thanks

Read up to the latest chapter (53). It's...fine. The synopsis seems a bit weird since MC never considers things a dream and he isn't transmigrated at all, nor is he alone in the other world - he's not come any spiritual herbs, divine techniques or powerful cultivators yet. The "method to extract one's Spiritual Root" I'm guessing means the ability to upgrade it, but that's something he learns about in his usual world - not this other one.

MC is a normal cultivator from his world (no transmigration or reincarnation etc.) Its basically an advanced version of Earth where cultivation stuff is all combined with capitalism. There are strict rules for dissemination of information, level of toxicity in pills/potions etc. There is a massive shortage of (basically extinction) of spirit stones as well as very little access to the energy required to cultivate, so cultivating to foundation establishment takes an extremely long time compared to some other cultivation novels.

It's mentioned that during times of War their world visits others and plunders them for resources, so MC already knows from the start that other worlds exists. He gets cut by a magic turtle shell in a temple (before the story starts) and then later when he picks it up to dispose of it, it transports him to the other world and becomes an app on his phone.

The app is pretty confusingly explained, but the basic functions are teleporting to/from his main world and this other one, as well as somehow elevating his permissions in other apps. This is the thing that's not explained well at all imo. He gets max permissions in an Auxiliary Cultivation Support app that everyone uses which let's him watch videos from others to help him progress. He also gets upgraded to level 3 permissions in the library app so he can search for books, but still needs to spend Good Deed points (basically like contribution points) to buy the books.

The other world is a lot more typical - fighting over resources, violence, sects etc. They have abundant resources too, so MC plans to earn spirit stones there to help him with his cultivation. He's being fairly safe and low-key, which is nice. Especially given he's at mid-high (rank 6) Qi Condensation - though it appears most people so far in the other world are much weaker, realm wise.

MC is able to kill someone who is trying to kill him, but he is basically like a modern guy from nowadays - he prefers to sort things out diplomatically if possible and tries to go under the radar. Definetly not ruthless or cunning at all. He comes off a bit immature early on, but that quickly fades.

Overall its a decent time waster, but it's definetly going to be slow paced cultivation wise. Idk if im going to continue reading this as new chaps release or (more likely) just bookmark this to stockpile and come back to in the future when I have nothing else to read. Since I still have this latest batch of novels to check out here, it'll probably be the latter for me.

Got up to chapter 10 and its just meh. Not terrible but also didn't hook me at all. To me it feels like it was written by some one with adhd like there were a few mostly random tangents. 4/10 (chapter 2 is after chapter 3 so skip forward and then go back)

Can I just ask is it the mc can travel between 2 different worlds or is it like the mc literally owns a world before I take a dive in and what your opinion of this novel, honestly feels like face slapping theme or hidden master kind of novel

Good work, I read it a while ago, so I can't provide details, but the work focuses more on the original world. It's a good work, I found it tasteless, but it's definitely above fast food. read if you have nothing to read

    Rank B-

If only their translation quality stayed consistent. They can range from hand edited to barely readable MTL in the span of a couple chapters. You usually see em get lazy after 60-100 chapters in, so I suggest folks wait a while and look at a latest chapter to judge before you start.
