      Government requirement. They should write smth that not lower their nation or they will be banned. If someone interpreted smth neutral as ban-worth it will be banned either and maybe author get some punishment (i guess) so they want or not should write some explicit nation-worshipping stuff to avoid this.
      Most of cn writers not even think about other countries and writes for internal readers only so them not even needed to choose curved way to write what they need when they can write №1 stuff and no one will against it (who will when your nation worshipped).

      With such powerful propaganda they have some ppls that go too far with it.

          It is, it's just not set in a modern-day China, or at least in a time where Chinese is a recognized race(Like 'Castle Black Iron' which is set thousands of years after the collapse of society and China is no longer a country but the "Chinese Clan" is "world-renowned" for their intelligence and mysterious strength). You can treat LotM like a transmigration cultivation novel. Nobody but him knows what China is therefore there is little to no nationalism.

    I dropped reading this after chapter 300 something....

    Well, as for why, hmmm.. I dont like the attitude of the MC after passing chapter 200+ and to be honest, it felt so boring reading after a long time... Thats just for me..

        So the MC starts a farm by imprisoning the demonic beast, he doesnt kill them to become his source food, and as time goes, he acts arrogantly while staying lowkey at the same time..

        Anyway, it really gets repetitive.. I dont know after chapter 300+ though if the story improve since he made a major breakthrough in cultivation since i already stop reading after that breakthrough

        Oh i also hate the healing techniques in this story, the f#ck, it can resurrect everyone.. Hahaha

          I stopped at chapter 66. Like you said he became arrogant.
          The reason why he did not make an appearance was that he felt that dealing with trash like Mr. Zhao was too low.

          Also even though it isn't a beast tamer novel, how he treat his pet is a bit cruel in my opinion.
