    I've read until 1710.

    I really wanted to finish this novel but I had to give up. The start is incredible, and most of the filler is exciting. Every single time we get a new customer introduced, the series gets better. Unfortunately after 1700 chapters there really isn't much to do anymore.



    It strayed away from the core point of the novel, which was the restaurant, and our beloved half-elf child who must be protected!

    It really sucks, because I enjoyed the first 1000 chapters so much I read them twice, just so I could relive those moments again.

    All in all, I would give it a 6/10. It's a solid novel for sure, but I don't think anyone will read it to the end.

      You have to realize that the main character was the so called strongest knight or something in the continent. So even if boss Mag is a soul from another world, he has to take into consideration his character background and the people who knows his history like Irina and the previous grievances the dead Mag Alex had towards his enemies. So the present has to eradicate this type of people to secure his and his people's safety. Because even if he ignores them, sooner or later holes will be seen from his disguises and if he didnt cut them off early little by little, he will be discovered. He has to take measures too. From the very start of the novel, this is already expected because of his character background. The plot has to deviate a little from the restaurant setting.

        I undertstand it makes sense story-wise, but I don't think you should sacrifice the amazing story, that was holding up the novel, for a less-than-amazing story that makes sense.

    It starts well but it became stale, be the costumer reactions or everything else. It's ok for a time, but this is not something I would recommend to read to the end.

    Story is quite fun to read, it can be kinda slow but overall it's worth a try. Problem I have actually comes much later. After mc's wife (or body's wife) moves in, mc becomes pathetic and his wife becomes annoying.

    Basically their "romance" and "flirting" is her being bossy and mc doing everything she says.
    Her being jealous keeping taps on mc and mc squirming around because of it.
    Her taking over mc's room and bed while he doesn't eve dare to go in and sleeps on floor.
    And she even put mc on test period.

    Overall, out of everyone she honestly feels like the last one you would pick and mc transforms into servant around her. Worst part is that they were supposed to have been together and they have even child before they were forcefully taken apart few years before so really this makes no sense. And mc also doesn't remember about her and she doesn't know it.

    BIG SPOILER WARNING

    Considering the romance aspect.....

    Sad that till the end, Irina never realized that she is f*cking a guy who took over her dead lover's corpse.

    She loves all the personality changes and skills that belong to the fake Alex, like his cooking, engineering and business skills, not realizing that her real lover got crippled and died a slow painful death over 3 years, eventually dying of cold weather while struggling to protect and feed their child Amy.

    She even said that she didn't realize the real Alex was this smart (not the real Alex she loved), and thought that all the real Alex knew was fighting.

    The fake Mag doesn't even have memories of the time the real Mag spent together with Irina, so the fact she couldn't realize he wasn't the same guy makes me wonder how she even fell in love with him.

    Let's not forget how Irina repeatedly questions the fake Alex's loyalty to her regarding him interacting with other women, even though real and fake Alex never did anything that suggests they weren't loyal.

    Let's not ignore the fact that she gets mad at him when any random pretty girl talks to him because he is attractive, while she ignores that the fact that the one Prince who was infatuated with her tried to kill her lover (which he succeeded but she doesn't know).

    At least the fake Alex took care of Amy, so real Alex didn't have his corpse taken over for nothing

        1) I did say it's a big spoiler, so no one can complain.

        2) Secondly, for a romance genre novel, the romance aspect seems laughable with how laughable Irina's IQ is considering how she unknowingly mocked her real lover, thinking his 360 degree personality change was normal.

        The author could have at least made it seem more plausible on why she never questioned his personality change, rather than making her look r*tarded

        (Side note: She is also the r*tarded female stereotype that can't cook anything but poison, but thinks she can cook).

        She is full of personality flaws, and you can't ignore how she threatens violence over MC to cover them.

                There is another site where this novel is already completed, so I read till the end.

                Google "Daddy fantasy world restaurant novel hold" and you will get it.

                Translation is a bit off at some parts especially with names, but once you figure out the name changes, it's no big issue. Also a few unnecessary censorship ***** but doesn't really make a big difference.

                I read it back when it was 700 chapters ahead, and now it's 300 chapters ahead, so I'm sure same storyline.

                Irina is only bad as a wife/lover, but fine as a mother considering her circumstances.

                The harem tag can only be because of one thing since Mag has always been 100% faithful till the end.

                Basically, Mag is too much of a pushover to tell a kid that he is not his father, and let's everyone outside the restaurant staff think he had 2 children with 2 women just because he doesn't want to make the kid cry.... stupid reason... yep.

                The adoptive mother (mermaid one) from the staff is a b*tch who knows she can never have Mag, so she purposesly keeps quiet and let's people think she is Mag's wife.

                Irina even said that she didn't really like this as their future kids might get confused about their family relationships since people outside the staff think he has 2 women, but she kept quiet about it since she also didn't want to see the kid cry .... stupid reason strikes again.

      How could Irina realize that the present Alex wasnt the same Alex whom she fell in love with first when she didnt even or cant even imagine the possibility of transmigration and possession of the body not thru evil means. She got surprised too because of Alex new skills and intelligence but she couldnt find any explanation about it either, theres no one person she can ask about it either. She can only speculate that due to Mag's struggle as a single parent, he tried learning skills here and there and stopped fighting because he got weakened. 3-4 years might be a few to others but to both Irina and Alex, thatll feel like eternity because they werent living a life of luxury or even a bit of comfort between those years, especially the real Mag who died because of a simple cold.

      Maybe what irked me a lot between the relationship is Mag's submissive behavior towards her. I mean he doesnt really owe her anything. He hasnt wronged her either. Infact Irinas life became better when they reunited so I didnt like Irinas femdom. The way she acts as if she was the person behind the restaurant success. I think Author purposely wanted it to be funny, the superior wife submissive hubby. But it didnt makes sense to me really because first of all, current Mag is Mag from earth. Another is he doesnt owe her anything. Third is Mag is stronger than her, lastly love doesnt look like that. It looks forced.

        Imagine you meet someone who looks exactly like you, so you abduct said person (humour me here).

        Then you pretend to be this person, who is a married man, who was going to return home to his wife after a long business trip.

        You have no clue about a single thing about the woman you are going to pretend to be married to....you don't even know what your supposed wife looks like.

        Then imagine if the supposed wife never realizes that you aren't her real husband, and even complements you on your new skills and your complete personality change, and said wife doesn't find it odd that you don't know a single thing about her and all that you don't remember anything she supposedly did with you, her 'husband'.

        Such a clueless wife would be a terrible wife.

          Cant really blame her. In the first place, the first time they met after separation, Irina didnt recognize him if it wasnt because of Amy and the number of similarities and coincidences. And current Mag doesnt look the same with the popular Mag Alex right cause if he did, the people from Rodu wouldve recognized him already. So can you imagine that? So even if Irina wants to get to the bottom of it, so much changes have happened and for the current timeline, Irina's too busy with the current life of the night elves. Irina cant stay with him everyday you know, shes just too busy. Its hard for an idea of "this is not the original Mag Alex" to even slip to her brain. I dont think it hasnt been two years even since Mag's soul transmigrated. I read until the chap they got married, ending feels rushed though. I really thought Mag will confess or something about his identity but it didnt happen.

    Rough start but you kinda mellow out into accepting it. Light on action but still has hooks here and there to keep you engaged. Overall, a chill and decent read especially great for those who are tired of the usual cultivation story.

    While this doesn't exactly fall far from the tree of the usual cn web novel, it has enough of its own personality and has a spine to tell a story that it wants to tell that it's much more refreshing once you the rough start smooths out.

    Novel is pretty great overall. I have followed for a few years now on various sites. I usually wait for a month or so worth of chapters to build up however as while Lots happens in some chapters, there can sometimes be 5-10 without much happening. Mag the MC finally starts to become a tiny bit more assertive way to late like 1800 + while he is a bit too of a wimp much of the story at least involving women. I mean I kind of get it, he doesn't want to take advantage of people because well he isn't who they think he is, but it does get a bit old him chickening out from Irina early and often.

    I do think we should call PETA on Amy though; Poor Ugly Duckling is emotionally abused often :/. Amy has also somehow remained 3-4 years old for like 3-4 years it seems (although in story time is only 5 months)
