So like the guy above me said, this is very similar to the Trash County of the Family (TCF), with the MC being the same pitiful weak protagonist, in the beginning, having to suffer tremendously in order to succeed in his endeavours/goals. His friends and peers feel remorseful for the suffering he goes through, so they try to prevent, minimize, and safeguard it from him. Honestly, it's not bad but having read TCF I feel it's way too similar in premise (with some exceptions in character names, world, and small plot points). Even one of his powers which are healing is exactly the same as Cale's healing power, and I would predict that the rest (which in both stories are stolen from the og protagonist), will be similar in effect but not in name. So if you like TCF and its characters, then read this (I haven't had the chance to go to far yet so I can't say if it's as well-written as TCF's characterization, character growth, etc...).
