          Depends on whether or not the author is practitioner of the Dao of word count. I’ve read cn novels where literally nothing happens in tens of chapters and the most mundane of actions the MC performs are repeated multiple times but phrased slightly different each time, while the author simultaneously word-vomits the reasoning for the MC’s stupid actions trying to portray them as a 500 IQ decision.

          This whole spiel isn’t about this novel btw I haven’t even read it yet lol.
