    First volume was amazing but it seems it slowly went off track, even the author admitted it. It gave me vibes of Warlock of Magus in a purely cultivation novel which I was really looking forward to but it after the 2nd volume it changes into your average cultivation novel lmao and believe me when I say this every single woman he would want to bed is somehow not a virgin(except one at 230+ chap)? Like seriously? Every single one?
    Everyone of them has a history of being rouged up. The MC becomes an Alchemist in the later chaps and only fights once every 50 chaps maybe even less. To be honest I am actually impressed with the amount nonsense the author can write, absolutely worthless info dumps, descriptions. 60% of a chap is usually monologue lmao.

    This is one of top 3 cultivation novel out there however it becomes boring or unbearable from chap 700+ because of info dumps and filler in addition to the fact that MC becomes to OP to quickly due to alchemy

    Ngl, it feels like the author(Kevin) is outta gas. The latest arc just feels a little forced; as if they’re setting it all up for showing off and face slapping.

      I agree one my favorite things about the novel early on was the mc and that the story felt fast paced and interesting. Things just feel repetitive now after the new larger world is exposed and it has slowed down a ton, still a great novel though.

    The only thing I dislike about this novel is author is like a grandpa who'd lose himself in the middle of storytelling and dump add lots of unnecessary details. Otherwise a good read and I am able to catch up to the latest chapters. In fact I am now rereading this novel.

    Sigh! I'm stopping at 296 for now...the reason i started reading this novel was for the epic apathetic Mc that he was at the beginning chapters....he was really good! But , i dunno why but i feel like this is the 1st that i read that has too much Character development to the point of it being kinda annoying!! He's changed so much upto this point that I can't compare him to him previous self...while it's good that he's improving but he's also starting to walk on the same hot-blooded self path as other cultivation mc...i quite liked the previous #Cautious & #WillDoAnythingForBenifits kinda mentality........
    ...i guess i will pick this up sometime later when i am in the mood to read it ..

        I think if I remember correctly Authors point was that MC was never chaotic neutral as you say, but because of the cruelty of cultivation world he was forced to be same and as his strength and means increase so can our MC be more free

    As a reader when I hear the title "Paragon of Sin", I imagine a truly evil cultivator. Someone who f#cks over peoples lives for minor benefits.

    But contrary to expectations, later on in the novel, it feels like mc is a really good person in a sense. He has a harem that he treats well. The sect he belongs too in an upper realm, he basically revives/saves. He doesn't go out of his way to be cruel. He becomes extremely overpowered through alchemy, so everyone tries to kiss his ass meaning that he never has to fight to gain favors and make relationships for benefits.

    Why am I saying all this? Well imo the novel betrays the expectations readers have when they read a title like "paragon of sin". I assumed the mc would be similar to "Fang Yuan".
    On a side note, due to how op he is, the novel loses most it's tension later on which I would say is the biggest negative in a cultivation novel.

      'Journey of the fate destroying emperor' is very similar but no harem. Very smart MC, fights for is own control and freedom, very logical, has morals but is ruthless as needed.

      'Fantasy me: A destined villain' is another which is kinda similar. Extremely smart MC, manipulates everyone to get stronger, doesn't rely on 'lucky events' but instead plans and schemes, has a harem, never takes a loss.

      'Aspiring to the immortal path' is okay in general. Smart MC, doesn't always rely on luck, good at schemes and tactics. (It does have its issues however like purposely stalling base cultivation level to slow story, or author making weakness for the sake of plot. So up to you since its readable at least.)

      There are more obvious ones I left out like 'Reverend Insanity' or 'Lord of the Mysteries' since I'm sure you would have already read them as they are extremely popular for excellent world building and having smart MC's.
