This was such a great and refreshing novel, especially since the football sports genre is new to me. As someone unfamiliar with football, I really appreciate how this story introduced me to the world of the sport. The matches were exceptionally well-written, it was easy to visualize the players’ movements, the spaces they filled, and the shots they took. I also had fun looking up the players’ names and other unfamiliar terms. It’s basically a fanfiction of the real-world football scene. Props to the author for writing over 700 chapters of football matches without making them feel overly repetitive.

The mc's system is also well-crafted and the players doesn’t give off the vibe of having flashy super power abilities, unlike in some sports anime. The author really keeps almost everything within the realm of possibility in football.

As for the comments in some chapters saying that the author doesn’t write romance well, first of all, romance isn’t even part of the main genre. The story takes a realistic approach to a professional footballer’s life, where personal relationships are merely a side note in their career. It’s also realistic in the sense that things don’t unfold perfectly or poetically like in a typical romance story.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new in the sports genre. You’ll still enjoy it even if you’re not an avid follower of football, just like me.
