Don't let the 2500 chapters trick you, this is hella short. Every chapter is like a 2 minute read. It also means that plot progression is so damn slow. There's 4 stages of the power system. Took the mc 1500ish to reach stage 2 and until now is still only in stage 2. The story is really drawn out, the only time skip it had was when the mc did jack shit. Also the upload schedules horrid. 2/5 don't read

I read up to chapter 600 and something and this is the first novel I ever dropped due to not liking the MC... Usually I can handle dumb or a righteous mc. In fact, I like me a righteous mc or at least not all dark and heartless. Also because the mc usually grows or has character development. Plus I have patience knowing that. Hey yeah the MC's not going to be badass, smart, rational at the start. He's going to grow. That's what character development is for. But I read up to chapter 600 and he was so unbearable. He has made so many dumb choices. He has so much advantages that he just let's go to waste because he's so stupid. He can't even get the girl right zero rizz.

But I read this years ago when it was like new when it didn't even have 1K chapters yet. it had like 700 or 800 So I don't know if things have changed.

and this type of mc is not the usual one instead if he really is that righteous and naive.. there are f#cking lots of leylin type of mc already, kinda sick of them tbh..

now the only thing that is worrying is the presence of some historical figures. wanna know if it is done well or not really

When I started and read in the comments that the MC was unbearably stupid and that there was too much plot armor, I didn't think much of it, it couldn't be that bad, right?

And I was right.

It's much worse than you imagine. Practically half of the people who started reading this novel think the same and have stopped. I'm currently on chapter 120 and he should have died at least 6 times by now but (coincidentally) there is always someone who comes by and helps him or receives some kind of power-up. I'm on the verge of quitting, but I'm very reluctant.

Don't get me wrong, I like the world building, the grammar is good, and I generally like the personalities of all the characters....except the MC. I understand that he is a child who has barely seen the world and is consequently very emotional and has been raised with noble ideals, but that doesn't make him any less insufferable. Maybe it's because I just finished a novel with an extremely logical MC (DD), but I don't like such an immature MC.

As a first novel it is fine, but if you have already read a few novels, it will be difficult for you to want to advance to the next chapter. I read for enjoyment, not to cross things off a list, and I'm not enjoying this novel as much as I expected.

I'm going to give it another chance for about 50 chapters, but I don't have high expectations anymore.

MC is too kind-hearted to the point it’s annoying, so much plot armor and power of friendship BS, it’s one thing to be kind and naive if you grow up in a loving environment However this MC is borderline stupid!! I don't recommend but who cares what I think, read at your peril

Innocent Incompetent Mc, self righteous, lacks cunning and wisdom to plan/strategize and outsmart his enemies, reckless, to emotional, lack common sense, Hero wannabe MC that want to save everyone, way to DAMN KIND too the point it's annoying. But this is fine because BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT???? EMERY is just a normal Teenage Kid raised by kind loving parents in a safe and peaceful environment. he didn't need to be Smart, competent, very cunning or be a matured cold hearted calculating MC because Emery is just a NORMAL KID!!!! he's very kind type of mc that want to save everyone be righteous, justice and all of that stuff, Because his father is a very great kind man who will help others and bring justice, Emery Is very much just like his kind parents.

If you are looking for MC that is smart, cold hearted, calculating, competent, Experienced when handling situations and problems, not reckless, cunning, wise and smart that makes decisions like a very calculated chess move then.
GET OUT OF HERE!!!! because the MC Emery is far from this. But Emery does get better and more Experienced when handling situations and problems in the latter chapters in like chapter 1000+
