Overall this was a decently coherent xianxia, however it had various issues that made me eventually drop it. The first things that annoyed me were that the author will randomly interject insults towards various groups. A few examples are a few paragraphs about how black people are untalented at cultivation and have no magic system (Western continent has wizards), the MC makes constant jokes about raping the women around him, he says “all homosexuals must die”, and it’s a running gag that the “Western continent” chef makes extremely gross dishes and Eastern food is a lot better.

Even with all of this, it wasn’t a major part of the series so I tried to see if it was worth ignoring but there were more issues. The final straw for me was that the author keeps forgetting the rules that he writes. The main example is a spoiler about how the MCs cultivation technique works.

In this along with various other minor things the author seems like he writes off the top of his head without any notes. Otherwise he shouldn’t contradict things that he wrote in previous chapters as much as he does. My final rating is a 6/10, but if you can ignore the inconsistencies and random hate this you may enjoy it more.

I thought it was a pretty good read. I started with the manhua before coming here but I liked it. I wish the romance was a bit more fleshed out tho. Also, the ending was kinda lacking in details. Felt a bit rushed. Would recommend

That'd be too big of a spoiler to answer.
So just let me say that any bits of romance are light and well-delivered. Nothing obscene, nothing irrational (like every character loving MC just because he exists), and nothing pathetic (like those guys overly oblivious to someone's intentions in poorly written romances)
        Hope it helps.
