In the deranged world of Jujutsu Kaisen, having no Cursed Energy and no Cursed Technique is the greatest original sin.

Touma Hayase crossed into this world with nothing. A talentless monkey in the eyes of every sorcerer, orphaned by Cursed Spirits that butchered both his parents, he nearly died the same way they did.

Then, on the knife's edge of death, he obtained the "Simulator".

No room for trial and error in the real world? Fine. He'd pay for every lesson in blood inside the Simulator.

He began hunting for truth within those simulations, piecing together every scrap of intelligence about this twisted world.

Used as bait by a deranged supervisor.

Thrown onto the front lines as a meat shield by the Zenin Clan.

Marked for extermination by Special Grade Curse Users who considered him a remnant of the old era.

Through countless deaths, countless simulated dead ends, Touma didn't just accumulate unfathomable depths of Cursed Energy. He awakened an Innate Technique all his own: Phantom Night Parade, the power to forcibly read and replicate any Cursed Technique.

Go ahead. Kill me once. I'll steal your techniques and your secrets from inside the Simulator.

Years later, the Shibuya Incident erupted. The Culling Game began.

When the Big Three Sorcerer Families and the rotten elite scrambled for a scapegoat, they found that the monkey they'd once trampled underfoot had already climbed a throne built on the corpses of Special Grade Cursed Spirits and high-ranking sorcerers alike, hell-bent on tearing this twisted world apart and rebuilding it from the ground up. The first 2 chapters of this novel are a literal word for word copy of One Trait Draw Per Year Even Simulations Count.

If anyone likes the premise and doesn’t care about JJK, check it out.

    No romance right?

Edit: The personality of the mc drastically changed. It's that "logic" of him to maintain order and his hypocrisy. No romance apparently (which is gud for me). Anyways I just find his development skewed but the story is good.

If I had to rate it, I’d say it’s a C as a work and a B as fan fiction.

Honestly, the series had a lot of potential at the beginning; the world was being well-developed, the characters had distinct personalities and weren’t just two-dimensional, and the MC was even showing some character development. welldone

The problem started around chapters 70–80; the author begins tackling complex themes without the slightest understanding of the subject. This turned the MC into a literal hypocrite who applies double standards in the current chapters. sigh

Although the savior complex makes sense given what he’s been through, the way he’s become such a hypocrite makes everything feel very insipid. gloom

Moving past the negatives, the positives of this work would be, first and foremost, the power balance. monk

Although the MC has a Simulator and a cursed technique with a stupid name that could just be abbreviated as “analysis” or “copy,” and even a gacha system, he doesn’t become overpowered overnight. whoknows

The development is steady, the conflicts actually make sense, and the progress is solid. yyyy

The MC has weaknesses and doesn’t become OP in just one or two simulations; in fact, he can currently only be categorized as a newcomer at the special rank, below truly powerful monsters. yyyy

The novel also seems to be halfway through, heading toward its conclusion, but I doubt it will reach in 100 chapters—it likely still has 200 or 300 more to go. middle

The world is dark, as you’d expect from a Jujutsu fanfic, and that’s what makes things interesting, though it still lacks exploration.

Final verdict: wasted potential; it’s toxic, but it can be an interesting read if you simply don’t care about how superficial the MC becomes later on. 12
