Create different characters and experience wonderful lives.

The story begins with transmigrating into the body of a mascot emperor in an alternate world.

Through the Book of a Hundred Lives, one can experience different lifetimes and receive rewards by completing tasks.

Restoring the royal family’s glory is our generation’s unshirkable duty!

Within the Book of a Hundred Lives:

I became the Holy Son of the Ten Thousand Dao Sect and debated the Dao with the Wonderful Lotus Saintess. As a result, her dao heart shattered and thousands of black threads grew from her mind.

I became a down-and-out scholar and saved a white snake. I helped her successfully overcome tribulation and transform into the last true dragon in the world, but she said she would never let me go for all eternity.

I became an elder of the Dragon Spring Sword Sect and took in a disciple. I cultivated her into the world’s first sword immortal, but she came to hate me to the bone.

Finally, one day, I reclaimed imperial power. Thinking I had reached the other shore while walking on thin ice, suddenly the sky above the imperial capital split open with ten-thousand-zhang dark clouds!

A massive white dragon head emerged from the cloud layer, staring at me intently.

Wasn’t this supposed to be about experiencing life? How did everything become real? Collapse

Author writes well, the simulations are enjoyable and the relationships between Xiao Mo and the women in them are great.

My main gripe is that the progress of the irl real-time story is slower than a blind snail. Also the fact he can't recognize Jiang or Ruxue because he feels something familiar about them, but always immediately dismisses it without any deeper thought is just a convenient plot device.

It also seems that the further into the book the longer each simulation takes, which is unfair to earlier ones as their story has far less time to shine. Specifically the demonic life simulation is somehow long, but also splits its time between like 4 different girls (even if said time isnt romantic its still aplit between them) making you feel less attached to them as you would to Bai Ruxue who had 2 entire lives to herself.

I've got other complaints, but I can't remember how to do the spoiler and don't want to spoil people. Also the update speed is very inconsistent and the only consistent thing about seems be that it's slow and the chapters are very short...

This novel seems to be doing its best impersonation of a Japanese romcom. It is perpetually stalled in the trope of “ Oh, they met in reality while he recognize her?” Literally 100s of chapters and not once does he recognize any of his “Pokémon” Harem. A great read if you want to experience feelings of frustration for hundreds of chapters otherwise, I’d give it a pass.

The storyline is also incredibly similar in concept to another novel, I can’t remember its name, unfortunately and to be fair I’m not sure which came first, but one of the two is just absolutely straight ripping off the concept and story.

It is a somewhat entertaining novel, dont get me wrong, but a deeper reading of this premise is a bit troubling.

On the surface, everything Xiao Mo does in his reincarnated lives is for the sake of accomplishing the various missions the book of 100 lives assigns him, in order to acquire more power in the real world.

However, because he is able to treat these reincarnated lives as a game that doesn't threaten his real life, and the missions he is given are designed to ingratiate him with these female protagonists, are these heroic women actually falling in love with him or the characters he plays in game.

I know twists in the future will likely explain away this issue, but hypothetically, if the book of 100 lives gave him missions that were morally bankrupt, would he do it? Ultimately, nothing he does in the Book of 100 lives has any moral weight if 1.) He thinks its not real 2.) Is rewarded to carry out the missions.

I believe that this missions are not only to integrate him with the female protagonists but he is actually expirienceing his past lives, while creating them, or something like that, and the book of 100 lives is just there for him to remember these past lives so I dont believe he would have to do anything evil as the author is trying to portray him as someone inherently good

Read till Chapter 424, Author is literally making short stories. There is 0 to no progress in his real life. Idk why it even exists atp it was made just to attract readers. He calls out to every female at the end of the run like it's his first love. Baby, I am going! Bs and he shows it like the female mc in short story can hear him leaving. I really liked this novel at the start but it's now getting cringe and repetitive. The author is talented in making short stories that touch ur heart but this short stories integration just isn't it.
