pretty good in terms of story development and pacing. if you're here for the battles they're not really told from a fpv, aside from the first two battles, like in ToS but rather from a captain or higher ranking commanders pov especially when you get to the world wars. think of it like hoi4 where you look at the battlefield from the strategic perspective where you control armies and army groups. Aside from the military stuff the story doesn 't dabble too much on economies but goes hard into politics and intrigue. and yes he jills the kews, at least the influential ones along with far leftists like the bolsheviks in russia and spd in germany. though he doesnt commit genocides for better or worse. also the mc is between an agnostic and a christian cuz of the time travel but hes fairly traditional in that he believes women in the house, men being leaders of their families, no gays or lib shit. Although I'm not sure about it, i think the mc is fairly pro-white, specifically german, but not supremacist but he loves his people and fatherland.finally with regards to technology advancement its not like in ToS where the mc has perfect memory but still has enough knowledge in key areas and is good enough of a manager to create teams to advance key techs like ballistic comps, sonars, jet engines, assault rifles, and other stuff so not op but still satisfying.

all in all its a solid read 4/5. i only take off one point cuz i like ToS better

I think a lot of readers are falling into the trap of letting the author “play dumb” here. If you’ve read his previous work, you already know he has a pattern: pushing some truly ugly ideas while disguising them behind the veneer of “fantasy.”

What’s happening in Re: Blood and Iron isn’t just creative interpretation it’s revisionist history. It’s a deliberate reframing of dangerous ideologies, an attempt to make them palatable under the guise of “fiction.”

The author sympathy-baits the audience—casting perpetrators of nationalist or imperial ideologies as tragic heroes or misunderstood victims “fighting for survival” and in doing so, obscures the fact that, historically, they were the aggressors.

This book is a hope for a better future since the world now is more worse that I rather worked with the Kaiser than being under a democracy that voted their own cyanide pills and rope their own children for the sake of "liberty" and "democracy".
