Qin Yi used to think that cultivation was all about a peaceful mind and the indifference towards fame and wealth. He is ready to abandon all mortal desires and enjoy eternal solitude when he later realizes that he is a human after all, and on the lonely cultivation path, he could really use the warmth of another pair of arms…

Of his companions, the prince wants to rebuild his kingdom; the princess is looking forward to her heroic life; the priestess needs to experience the secular world; the “dumb snake” could use a confidence boost; and his “clubbie” wants a human form.

But would everyone get what they wanted? Collapse

I've read the whole mtl, it's quite unfortunate it isn't being translated properly, the novel actually feels like an actual adventure of someone. It's not really action packed per se, but it's rich in character development. 4.3/5

Dam. Only read the first seven chapters so far, but felt the need to drop in and give it a thumbs up.
So much potential, and the author is definitely capable of seeing it through.

Still... This is a chinese one, not a korean one, why is the upload so slow? Is this novel really that high of a quality?

Quick review of the first 8 chapters, exam season and all.

This... is actually really interesting. All the characters introduced thus far seem to have their own motives and goals, the dialogue makes sense without being cringe or too stiff. I admittedly don't like a few things; cultivators being the sort who have to hide in huts and things isn't something I enjoy, but the story doesn't seem to focus on that and so it's easy to put aside.

I like the main character - I haven't seen him much, but he's interesting. He cares for people and the honestly puts him ahead of most others already, and his dialogue is fun. I don't agree with his perspective where he doesn't seem to care too much for immortality, but again, kinda easy to put aside since I'm not sure how long that'll stay.

Big wuxia vibes that I don't enjoy either; but the tags say Xianxia so I'm optimistic it'll open up a bit further down the line, even if the synopsis might make me believe otherwise.

Overall a pretty intriguing story. Takes a bit to get used to the writing style, but I'll honestly recommend it! The first 8 chapters sorta wrap up the the prologue, so it's probably a good idea read that far to get a good idea of what this is.

Definitely a character-focused story over anything else. Solid 7/10!
