The psychopathic author simply transferred the MC's psychopath traits to his subordinate, Ceril. Because many people protested about the MC's nature and temperament.
This was to satisfy author psychopath tendencies in the real world. I'm sure the author is an evil psychopath. .

Even god has advised him to trust no one. Pfff idiotic mc repeats the same mistake like a donkey

This MC doesn't want to be watched but his actions are the opposite. With his hero syndrome of wanting to be recognized as a hero and acting for justice, it's nonsense.
This may be because the author copied a lot from other novels so that the MC doesn't have his own unique characteristics..

    1. The MC in this novel is bad(Bipolar psychopath).

    2. Mc is a robber and a murderer, only less so because he didn't rape.

    3. Mc can't stand people who are as vile as him (robbers and murderers), that's just hypocrisy.

    4. The MC's emotions are very unstable. He's quick to get happy and laugh like a clown, quick to get angry and roar like a madman, and quick to get sad and cry like a baby.
Sorry I prefer cool, clear-headed characters. I dislike emotional idiots.
I've never read a novel where the character development is so bad like this and I don't know where it's going.

it's a hodgepodge of references from anime/movies and pop culture alike. It can be serious at times and the payoff of some arcs are good. But the latest arc as of chapter 1086 is just a drag. Fights are unnecessarily lengthened because of over explanations, references that makes most readers cringe due to how it is placed in the wrong places.

As of now, it's like Gintama without the comedy. A parody that tries too hard to know its own place. If it had been its standalone novel that pushes originality over familiarity, then it would have been a better read. Sprinkles of references here and there is acceptable, but if the author is going to act like each conversation has to include a pop reference, then it will take the flow and immersion out of the window.

By no means am I saying that it is a bad novel. It is good as it has an overarching goal of defeating a villain. There are twists, mysteries, and all the good things you want in a shounen genre. The MC experiences failures, growth, and has relationships. But not all good things are perfect.

An apt analogy would be eating your favorite snack but with a twist. It is your favorite snack, an absolutely perfect food to eat when you want enjoyment. But as you devour that snack, you find out that there's something buried deep... a broken off leg of a cockroach. You have two choices: eat it like a maniac because you rationalize that maybe, it was torn off and you will throw the area that touched the food. Or two, you throw it out completely even though it's your favorite snack.

I'm still reading it... so it's not hard to guess which choice I chose.

It's a cool story. The rating is underestimated. Apparently, the Chinese "wise men" didn't like something. Good cruelty and humor on references are understandable to everyone, not only to the Chinese.👍🏾

Its like 2.5/5 imo. I have read this upto like 300-400 chapters. It was decent upto the first arc then went to shit. Also the author is straight up a**hol*. The fights were getting too long, once it went to like 18 pages for all the characters. Somebody said so in the comments and he just railed on them. He also has some superiority complex over cultivation novels and keeps on bashing them in his novel when the reality is his novel is even worse shit.

The Slop is strong with this one. Just enough to not be bad without having any meaningful substance. Only the most experienced in edgy power fantasy wish fulfillment should dabble in this one 4/10.
