Chapter 266: Master of Magic Item Creation

"Welcome to the City of All Things."

Stepping out from the Teleportation Array, Tanna turned, extending a hand in a guiding gesture as he smiled at Su Nan and Lize.

Before them lay a vast, circular plaza, with the ground completely paved in precious White Jade Stone. Dense Rune Array paths were intricately engraved, spreading outward from the center and intertwining into a Teleportation Array at the edges of the plaza.

The three had just emerged from one of the Magic Arrays.

"This is the teleportation plaza of the City of All Things. The city prohibits all unauthorized Plane Channels," Tanna explained. "Outsiders can only enter through the plaza's Plane Teleportation Array. Without understanding the Plane Coordinates, it’s impossible to even reach this place."

Perhaps due to returning to a familiar environment, Tanna's mood visibly brightened, and he became less reserved.

"Where do we go next?" Lize asked.

"Let's go buy the Pure Soul Flower first," Su Nan suggested.

Tanna had no objections and fulfilled his role as a guide, leading the way.

The three of them walked across the plaza towards the exit.

Though the name "City of All Things" contained the character for "city," it was actually a genuine Plane. While its area was far smaller than the Starlight Continent or the Wolf Tide Plane, the fact that a city could embody an entire Plane showcased just how vast the City of All Things truly was.

The architectural styles were incredibly diverse—Gothic, red-brick retro, classic Eastern, and even structures made completely from crystal, coral, and White Bone, giving the impression of an architectural expo.

The variety of people walking the streets was equally astonishing.

Fairy types, giants, beastmen, elves... all sorts of races mingled together, yet there were no conflicts or tensions. Instead, there was a harmonious atmosphere, as if this arrangement were the norm, which left many in awe.

Lize, in his Ghost form, was particularly eye-catching in the Starlight Continent, but in the City of All Things, he immediately blended in. Su Nan, having visited the City of All Things in his past life, was accustomed to this vibrant scene of many races coexisting.

On the contrary, Lize, who was visiting the City of All Things for the first time, couldn't help but show a look of surprise. "Isn't the City of All Things supposed to only allow Wizards to enter? How come there are so many Alien Races here?" she asked, puzzled.

Su Nan chuckled and explained, "The Alien Races in the City of All Things basically have three identities. They are either Slaves, service personnel for various industries within the city, or attendants of Wizards. Free individuals who are not Wizards generally cannot enter here."

"Master Sunan is right."

Tanna agreed with a smile, though he felt a bit odd in his heart.

He had originally thought that Su Nan had always stayed on Starlight Continent, so this should be his first visit to the City of All Things, but now it seemed he was quite familiar with Fangwu City.

As Lize carefully examined the Alien Races along the way, she noticed that many of them bore Slave markings.

"Does the City of All Things also have Slave trading?"

"Of course! The City of All Things has the largest Slave Market in the entire Multiverse," Tanna said with a hint of pride. "There, you can even purchase Dragons, Divine Beings, and legendary-grade legions numbering ten thousand."

Su Nan smiled a smile that was not quite a smile and asked, "Can you buy Wizards?"

Tanna's smile froze, and he stammered, "Master, you must be joking. Buying and selling Wizard Slaves is a taboo. The City of All Things wouldn't dare to do that, as it would provoke public outrage."

Seeming to recover from his embarrassment, Tanna quickly changed the subject. "Master Sunan, let's go to the East District. That's where the material trade is most concentrated in the City of All Things. We are sure to find the Pure Soul Flower there."

Su Nan nodded. "Lead the way."

The three of them changed direction and headed towards the East District.

Flying is prohibited within the City of All Things, but many locations are equipped with Teleportation Arrays. As long as you invest Magic Stones, you can use them to quickly access all open areas in the city.

If you wish to see the cityscape, you can also rent mounts.

Since this was a rare trip to Fangwu City, Su Nan wasn't in a hurry to reach his destination. He decided to take his time, enjoying the sights along the way.

Lize and Tanna followed his lead without objection.

After years of development, particularly with the popularization of Sub-mana technology and Magic Technology, Starlight Continent was undoubtedly much more prosperous than it had been a thousand years ago.

Even the most bustling Starlight Continent was dwarfed in comparison to the City of All Things.

Here, all sorts of magical energy products were abundant. A random lamp hanging outside a shop was a precious Magic Stone Lamp, and there were even Magic Power Fountains powered by Magic Stones that could slightly increase the activity of Energy Particles in the air.

The Magic Technology here had developed to its peak, already beginning to delve into a higher level of Magic Crystal Technology.

Taking in everything around him, Su Nan nodded to himself.

If this Magic Technology continued to advance and develop over time, the current City of All Things might very well become the Starlight Continent of the future.

It’s worth noting that most of the Alien Race in the city dressed in simple cloth clothing or armor, while only the Wizards wore long robes, which seemed to signify their unique status.

As Su Nan and the others walked along the road, the Alien Race they passed unconsciously made way for them, their gazes filled with a sense of reverence.

In this environment, Su Nan quickly lost interest in strolling and made his way directly to the nearest Teleportation Array point, teleporting into the East District.

"The East District is home to thousands of merchant associations, and you can find almost anything here, unless it's an extremely rare item," Tanna explained, gesturing to the surrounding shops in a slow and methodical manner.

"The three largest merchant associations are Radiance Pavilion, House of All Things, and Hall of Truth."

Lize asked curiously, "What are the differences among these three?"

Tanna chuckled, "Radiance Pavilion was founded by a Guang Yao Long from the Ancient Dragon Period clan. There are rumors that this shop has the backing of a Dragon Realm, which is why Radiance Pavilion possesses many treasures that cannot be found elsewhere."

The Guang Yao Long is a high-level Dragon Clan, with a body resembling a shining platinum statue, radiating heavenly light.

An elderly Guang Yao Long already possesses Level 3 Wizard-level strength.

As for the Guang Yao Long of the Ancient Dragon Period, it is said that its true strength is infinitely close to that of a True Spirit Wizard.

The Dragon Realm is rumored to be the birthplace of all Dragon Bloodlines, gathering the largest number and variety of Dragons.

Its power is no less than that of the Large Wizard Factions of the Deep Blue Alliance and the Wisdom Codex families.

However, while the Guang Yao Long of the Ancient Dragon Period is undeniably formidable, it isn’t sufficient to single-handedly establish a top-three large trading guild in the City of All Things. However, with the support of the Dragon Realm, it makes perfect sense.

Lize nodded thoughtfully. "Dragons love collecting treasures. If it's a store run by them, it's no wonder they have so many valuable items. But would they be willing to sell the treasures they have painstakingly collected?"

Tanna chuckled. "That’s precisely the point. That's why Radiance Pavilion has a special rule: they only accept bartering and refuse to trade Magic Stones for goods. Whether a deal is made or not depends entirely on the store owner's mood."

"They have such a rule?" Lize was taken aback. "Isn't that just pushing business away?"

Tanna smiled. "It’s exactly that which proves how many treasures Radiance Pavilion possesses."

Lize quickly understood.

With such a bizarre rule, Radiance Pavilion had still managed to grow into one of the top three trading guilds in the City of All Things. That alone demonstrated the strong appeal of their goods.

Although Su Nan had been to the City of All Things, he didn’t know much about its three largest trading guilds. Listening to Tanna's explanation now, he found it quite interesting. He then asked, "What about the House of All Things?"

"The House of All Things is run by the city's ruler, the All Things Assembly, so it’s considered an official commercial organization. It excels in offering a wide variety of products, with guaranteed quality and fair treatment of all customers. Its reputation for fair transactions is well-known throughout the City of All Things. The only drawback is that the prices are a bit high."

Su Nan remained noncommittal.

He had long suspected that Tanna had some connection to the City of All Things, and his words were definitely biased in favor of the All Things Assembly. Even Tanna admitted that the House of All Things’ prices were high, suggesting they were indeed quite expensive.

"What about the Hall of Truth?"

"The Hall of Truth doesn’t have as many product categories as the previous two guilds, but the prices are cheap. The problem is that the quality isn’t guaranteed. You often hear stories of some unfortunate soul buying a defective or faulty product there. Shopping there really tests one’s discernment."

Discernment, huh...

Su Nan smiled inwardly.

He was least afraid of tests of discernment. Regardless of the item, placing it in his Magic Cube would give him detailed information.

But then, he quickly discarded the thought.

"When purchasing items, merchants certainly wouldn't allow customers to place unbought goods into their space-type magical items, as doing so could easily lead to conflict.

After a moment's contemplation, Su Nan quickly made a decision.

"Let's go to Radiance Pavilion first."

If he could exchange the item he had for some Pure Soul Flower, that would be ideal.

If that didn’t work out, they could later visit the Hall of Truth and the House of All Things.

There was a Teleportation Array point about a hundred meters from Radiance Pavilion. Once they exited the Teleportation Array, the three of them didn’t have to walk far to reach their destination.

Surprisingly, Radiance Pavilion appeared to be an ordinary inn from the outside.

If it weren't for the "Radiance Pavilion" sign hanging outside, he might have thought he was in the wrong place.

"Huh? The owner of this merchant association is quite unique," Lize remarked, her expression suggesting curiosity.

"After all, many dragons are unconventional beings," Tanna said with a smile of agreement.

Inside, the space was not particularly large—only about two hundred square meters—with a dozen or so wooden shelves displaying a sparse collection of items.

However, Su Nan could tell at a glance that they were all cheap, worthless goods.

Near the entrance was a counter where a tall, slender young man with blonde hair was flipping through an account book, seemingly oblivious to the arriving customers.

His features were strikingly handsome, more exquisite than those of an elf, but Su Nan sensed a peculiar aura emanating from him, which gave him a faint sense of unease.

Su Nan immediately understood. High-level dragons typically possessed the ability to shapeshift. This blonde young man was clearly the owner of Radiance Pavilion—a mature Guang Yao Long.

He hadn’t expected that such a distinguished Guang Yao Long would personally run the shop without even a servant present.

Moreover, the shop's decor lacked the opulence associated with the three major merchant associations.

"Boss," Tanna called out.

Upon hearing the voice, the blonde young man lazily looked up, his gaze sweeping over Tanna. It paused briefly on Lize before moving on, but when he saw Su Nan, his platinum-colored eyes brightened slightly.

"Such a dense soul aura. To possess such a dense soul aura at the Tier 3 Vaporization stage, you're likely to become another True Spirit Wizard in the future."

Su Nan and Lize were slightly taken aback.

Tanna, however, looked at Su Nan with a strange glint in his eyes.

Guang Yao Long was born with the ability to detect soul auras, allowing him to gauge a person's strength with remarkable accuracy. He rarely made mistakes when judging others.

In the past, he had evaluated several Wizards, and their subsequent growth trajectories always confirmed the accuracy of the Radiance Pavilion boss's assessments.

Tanna had initially thought Su Nan was powerful, but he never expected that even the boss of Radiance Pavilion would consider him likely to advance to True Spirit Wizard.

As a result, Tanna's opinion of Su Nan had risen significantly.

At that moment, Su Nan regained his composure. He smiled slightly at Guang Yao Long's comment and, cutting to the chase, asked, "Boss, do you have Pure Soul Flowers here?"

"Of course I do," Guang Yao Long replied slowly. "What do you plan to offer in exchange?"

Su Nan waved his hand, and a Tentacle Puppet materialized in the air. Its large form nearly knocked over a nearby shelf.

"How about this?"

Guang Yao Long examined the puppet closely, arching an eyebrow.

"A Tentacle Puppet from the Starfall Society clan. I heard the design blueprints were lost long ago with the clan's destruction. I didn’t expect to see one here, especially one that has been enchanted and upgraded. Alright, I’ll trade a Pure Soul Flower for this puppet."

While the Pure Soul Flower was certainly precious, a Wizard-level puppet also held considerable value. The two were comparably valuable, but the puppet was rare. Guang Yao Long intended to keep it as a collector's item.

"I want two Pure Soul Flowers," Su Nan said.

In addition to Lize, Artier also needed to reshape his body.

Guang Yao Long glanced at him and said lazily, "Alright, but one puppet is enough for me. You’ll need to offer something else for the second Pure Soul Flower."

Su Nan frowned slightly but soon relaxed. With a flick of his wrist, a sparkling gemstone, its surface covered in strange talismans, appeared in his palm.

"How about this?"

If there was one kind of treasure that dragons favored the most, it was undoubtedly sparkling gemstones.

Even a high-level cultivator like Guang Yao Long was no exception. At his level, ordinary spiritual tools no longer held any appeal; only treasures would pique his interest.

The Inscribed Gem, without a doubt, was among the finest treasures.

Guang Yao Long's gaze fell upon the Inscribed Gem. At first, he was somewhat unimpressed, but after a few careful observations, a hint of surprise gradually dawned on his face.

"A spiritual tool inscribed with a Rune Engraving?"

"Such exquisite craftsmanship! Did you make this yourself?"

Guang Yao Long asked Su Nan. When he saw the latter nod, astonishment flashed in his eyes.

Ordinary spiritual tools simply could not bear a Rune Engraving, and higher-grade treasures typically possessed unique magical properties, making it difficult to fuse them with such inscriptions.

Fusing a Rune Engraving into a spiritual tool was far more challenging than creating a new Rune Engraving from scratch!

Could it be that this young man was also a master artificer?
