Chapter 265: War Creation
“Sunan Master.”
Inside the reception hall, Tanna bowed respectfully toward Su Nan.
“No need for formalities; have a seat,” Su Nan said, gesturing toward the sofa opposite him.
Tanna sat down as instructed, his gaze subtly assessing Su Nan, a sigh of admiration escaping his heart involuntarily.
When the war between the Star Alliance and the Gloomy Throne erupted, he was a guest in the Starlight Continent and had the chance to witness the entire conflict. He was deeply shocked by it.
He had no prior knowledge of the Gloomy Throne's attack on the Starlight Continent, so when he saw Youxi leading the Wolf Tide Plane along with five Wizard Towers invading, he secretly felt pity for the Star Alliance.
In his view, it had not been easy for the Star Alliance to develop to such an extent, and to have encountered the notorious Gloomy Throne in the Multiverse, they were likely to be completely uprooted.
However, the subsequent developments astonished him.
The power displayed by the Flying Magic Ship Fleet, the Dragon, the Medium, and the Wizard Towers of the Star Alliance was far beyond his expectations.
In the end, it was the army of the Gloomy Throne that was defeated.
The leading Wizard was forced to abandon the five Wizard Towers and flee in panic!
Su Nan even chased after them directly.
Although Tanna did not witness the following events firsthand, judging by the fact that the Star Alliance had openly entered the enemy's plane, the Wizards of the Gloomy Throne were likely in dire straits.
Tanna had never expected that the Star Alliance could actually emerge victorious, especially when the Gloomy Throne had deployed five Wizard Towers and an entire plane!
It was then that he realized he had greatly underestimated the Star Alliance.
So, standing before Su Nan once again, his awe for Su Nan had only increased.
“Sunan Master, you called me here; is there anything I can assist you with?” Tanna asked somewhat nervously after sitting down.
Su Nan smiled and replied, “It's not an order. I just wanted to ask you for a favor, of course, you will be compensated.”
Tanna secretly breathed a sigh of relief, a smile spreading across his face as he said, "Please, sir, just give the orders. As long as I can help, I will not refuse."
"You should be quite familiar with the City of All Things, right?"
"The City of All Things? I am indeed familiar with it. Every time I return from an exploration, I spend some time resting there. In a way, the City of All Things serves as a transit point and a place of rest for us Traveling Wizards."
"That's perfect then." Su Nan smiled faintly. "I would like to take a trip to the City of All Things. Could I ask you to be my guide?"
Tanna was slightly taken aback, not expecting Su Nan to have called him over for this reason. However, he quickly regained his composure and agreed without hesitation.
"No problem; it's my honor to assist you, Master Su Nan."
"Consider this an advance payment for your services."
Su Nan waved his hand, and five bottles of Construct Potion floated before Tanna.
The smile on Tanna's face became more genuine. "Thank you, sir."
To receive five bottles of Construct Potion just for being a guide was an incredibly worthwhile deal.
After Tanna left, Lize emerged from behind.
"Why did you choose Tanna as our guide?"
Su Nan gave a wry smile. "As a Level One Wizard, he can explore the Netherworld and even escape from the clutches of Nightshade Worms, so he must possess some skills. Most Traveling Wizards like him have connections to the City of All Things. It's ideal to have him as a guide."
In his past life, Su Nan had only visited the City of All Things a few times, so he could only claim to have a basic understanding of the place. This time, aside from purchasing the Pure Soul Flower, he also wanted to explore this renowned neutral city properly. It would be best to have someone familiar with the area to show him the way.
Lize seemed deep in thought after hearing this but said no more.
"You will come with me then," Su Nan suddenly said.
Lize was taken aback. "I'm afraid my current state isn't very convenient, is it?"
"Once we find the Pure Soul Flower, I can reshape your body immediately."
Lize felt tempted, hesitated for a moment, and finally agreed.
After finalizing the trip to the City of All Things, Su Nan returned to the top floor of the Wizard Tower.
Twilight Valley and the Nest had already been secured, and he no longer needed to worry about the Wolf Tide Plane. He could leave that to Lize to handle.
Now, he could concentrate on his own matters.
"Cultivation, studying spells, and leveling up Wizard Tools went without saying; beyond these, there were still many matters that required Su Nan's personal attention.
For instance, the repair of the Wizard Tower.
The repairs for the four Small Wizard Towers seized from the Gloomy Throne had already been assigned, and some wizards had taken on the task. However, these wizards were all new to the Wizard Tower and were quite unfamiliar with its intricacies. Completely repairing them was expected to take a significant amount of time.
The difficulty of repairing the Medium Wizard Tower was even greater, necessitating Su Nan’s direct involvement.
In addition, the Starlight Wizard Tower required further upgrades.
Lize had already acquired the design schematics for the Plasma Cannon and Pulse Cannon from the Wisdom Codex. Next, he could begin manufacturing, synthesizing, and reinforcing these before integrating them into the Starlight Wizard Tower, thus enhancing its long-range firepower.
The design schematics for the Shadow Steel Golem and Vajra Golem were also in his possession. Both of these were genuine Wizard Level puppets, especially the Vajra Golem, whose combat power was comparable to a Tier 2 Vaporization Wizard.
Su Nan planned to enchant and modify these golems based on their original designs before deploying them in the Starlight Wizard Tower's Golem Legion to strengthen its combat capabilities.
Other aspects of the Wizard Tower also needed upgrades and modifications.
With the Wisdom Codex serving as a trading channel to obtain sufficient resources, Su Nan was confident that he could upgrade the Starlight Wizard Tower to a Large level in the near future.
Finally, there was the research on the War Fortress.
In the previous conflict, the Flying Magic Ship had demonstrated considerable combat power and was well-suited for dealing with the Black Wolf Pack and other Exotic Beast armies or conventional Golem Legions. However, it fell short against the Wizard Towers.
Even the Small Wizard Towers far outclassed the Flying Magic Ships in terms of combat power. The Flying Magic Ships often had to rely on naval tactics, using sheer numbers and sacrifices to contest the Wizard Towers.
During the last battle, nearly 60% of the Flying Magic Ships were destroyed, yet they failed to take down even a single Small Wizard Tower. If Su Nan hadn’t piloted the Starlight Wizard Tower, it was likely that even after all eight Flying Fleets were wiped out, they wouldn’t have succeeded in breaching a single Small Wizard Tower. At best, they could only exhaust most of the energy of five Wizard Towers and diminish the durability of the Mystic Lock Defense Energy Field."
"So, researching a War Creation that surpasses the Flying Magic Ship is imperative!
In fact, other Wizard Factions have already developed similar War Creations. For instance, the Deep Blue Alliance has the Mobile Spire, the Star Spirit Clock Tower possesses the God Hunting Peak, and the Gloomy Throne wields the Bone Hunter. Each of these War Creations is a closely guarded secret of its respective Wizard Faction, making it impossible for outsiders to access detailed blueprints.
However, Su Nan has gained some understanding of these War Creations. Relying on the knowledge of predecessors, he still feels a certain degree of confidence in developing a War Creation that belongs to the Star Alliance.
"The cost of the Wizard Tower is incredibly high. Even with the financial advantage of synthesizing Magic Stones from Sub Magestones, manufacturing a Wizard Tower is no easy feat."
"Just to be safe, it’s best to produce a batch of War Fortresses first; the Wizard Tower can be built gradually." "
