Chapter 183: Base Reforms, Wizard Academy

The study was utterly silent, with only the soft rustle of turning pages echoing gently.

Karolina and Red Widow stood quietly before the desk, not daring to make a sound for fear of disturbing Su Nan, who sat behind it.

Occasionally, the two women would steal glances at Su Nan, their eyes sparkling with excitement.

When Su Nan had announced his intention to explore the Star Tower, he had vanished for over two years.

While the Star Alliance had managed to maintain stable operations without major issues, thanks to the arrangements Su Nan had made in advance, Karolina and Red Widow couldn't shake off the worry of not seeing him for such a long time.

After all, they were acutely aware that the current prosperity of the Star Alliance depended entirely on Su Nan.

Without him, the entire alliance would collapse in an instant.

This was an outcome they could not accept.

Just as impatience began to swell and they considered sending someone to search for Su Nan, he finally returned.

Along with his return came news that shocked them to their core.

Their master had advanced to Formal Wizard!

This revelation hadn't come directly from him, but was instead a rumor that had begun to circulate from an unknown source.

It was said that Su Nan had successfully advanced to Wizard in the Star Tower, and upon leaving, had fiercely defeated fourteen Level Three Wizard Apprentices from the Truth Council, claiming the Star Tower for himself.

Initially, Karolina and Red Widow had been somewhat skeptical upon hearing this news.

However, after seeing Su Nan with their own eyes and sensing the aura emanating from him—vast and unfathomable like the starry sky—the doubts in their hearts vanished, replaced by sheer joy.

Their years of experience within the Star Alliance had given them a profound understanding of the significance of a Wizard, especially on the current Starlight Continent.

To compare it to something, it was akin to the presence of a god, the sole deity of the Starlight Continent!

They could hardly fathom anything that could stand against the power of a Wizard!

"With the Wizard's Star Alliance unifying the Underworld, or rather, the Starlight Continent, its progress is now unstoppable!

This ambition surpassed their previous goal of becoming the 'Underworld Hegemon' and was even more exhilarating!

Just thinking about it sent shivers down the spines of the two women, their faces flushed with excitement, and their gazes towards their master behind the desk became increasingly reverent and adoring.

Unbeknownst to Su Nan, he remained oblivious to their subtle movements, instead concentrating on reviewing the reports from the past two years.

Due to a temporary halt in expansion, the Star Alliance's territory had seen little change over the last two years, with only a few additional resource points developed.

Perhaps as a result, the Dark Elves had ceased their harassment.

The Star Alliance had entered a rare period of peace and tranquility.

However, while the territory remained largely unchanged, the growth of the Star Alliance's military power was impressive.

In terms of Golem units, the Star Alliance had amassed a significant number of Stone Golems and Twin Blade Spiders over the past two years, enough to form approximately two Small Golem Legions.

Once Su Nan replenished the high-end combat units such as Steel Golems, Elite Steel Golems, and Elite Double Bladed Spiders, the Star Alliance could instantly deploy two more Small Golem Legions.

What surprised Su Nan the most was the Magic Knight Order.

After more than a decade of development, the number of Magic Knights had increased tenfold, approaching a total of fifty thousand.

Unfortunately, the production of Magic Pattern Constructs was unable to keep pace with the growing numbers of the Magic Knight Order.

Currently, less than a third of the total Magic Knights were equipped with Magic Pattern Constructs.

This was a challenge that the Star Alliance needed to address urgently.

Once the equipment issue was resolved, the fully developed Magic Knight Order would become the Star Alliance's second formidable force, boasting combat strength on par with the Golem Legion!

"First and second-level Magic Pattern Constructs can be delegated to the Base's Apprentices for manufacturing, but third-level and above constructs must still be created by me personally," Su Nan murmured softly.

Thanks to the expansion of the Starry Sky Empire's territory, the number of Base's Apprentices had also grown rapidly in the past two years."

"Currently, the total number of Apprentices has exceeded 500, reaching a total of 524.

Among them, there are more than forty Second Level Wizard Apprentices.

These individuals serve as laborers for the manufacturing of Second Level Magic Rune Constructs.

Su Nan immediately decided that he would adjust the task rewards to boost the enthusiasm of the Apprentices in producing Second Level Magic Rune Constructs.

As for Third Level Magic Rune Constructs, if he truly lacked the time to manufacture them, he could also acquire them by synthesizing Second Level Magic Rune Constructs. It would just come at a slightly higher cost.

Additionally, the growth of the core forces of the Magic Knight Order—the Dragon Antelope Knights—has stagnated due to the shortage of Magic Pattern Constructs.

However, the ranch has now accumulated over three hundred mature Dragon Antelopes. Once the equipment catches up, the number of Dragon Antelope Knights can immediately double.

After reviewing the report, Su Nan gained a clear understanding of the Star Alliance's development over the past two years.

Overall, during his absence of around two years, while no major issues had arisen in the Star Alliance, the pace of development across various fronts had been somewhat hindered, resulting in a stagnation of overall strength.

However, the setbacks experienced during this time pale in comparison to the gains he achieved in the Star Tower.

Moreover, with his return, it is foreseeable that the Star Alliance is on the brink of a significant leap in development.

Closing the report, Su Nan looked up at Karolina and Red Widow.

The two women subconsciously straightened their posture.

"Once the two new Golem Legion teams are formed, we will resume our expansion efforts."

"This time, our primary target will be Spider City, and we will focus on exploring and expanding in that direction."

Karolina and Red Widow respectfully acknowledged his orders.

"Send people to investigate the situation in Spider City and gather intelligence."

After giving another directive, Su Nan waved his hand, dismissing the two women.

Once they left, he lowered his gaze to the Base report on the table, a thoughtful expression crossing his face.

It has been nearly twenty years since the establishment of the Base.

The Base has been operating very smoothly and has provided him with great assistance.

However, with the gradual expansion of power, some shortcomings of the Base have begun to emerge.

The most pressing issue is that the transfer of knowledge to the Apprentices is severely lacking.

Su Nan himself is very busy and can hardly find any time to teach the Apprentices."

Originally, when there were few Apprentices, he could offer limited guidance through exchanges. However, as the number of Apprentices increased, this exchange program was removed to save time.

Now, the Apprentices in the Base can only gain knowledge by reading books themselves, resulting in very slow learning progress.

Considering that, in the future, as the territory of the Starry Sky Empire expands, more and more Apprentices will join the Star Alliance, it’s time for the Base to implement some changes.

In fact, before heading to the Star Tower, Su Nan had already formed corresponding ideas.

For example, he planned to separate the Base's function of cultivating Apprentices and establish an Academy dedicated to training Wizard Apprentices.

The Wizard Academy is an essential facility for almost every Wizarding power. It serves as their primary channel for absorbing fresh talent.

To allow the Star Alliance to have more room for development, a Wizard Academy is necessary.

The first issue that cannot be ignored in establishing a Wizard Academy is the teaching staff.

Su Nan initially thought to invite members of the Secret Forest Hut to join and serve as mentors at the Academy. However, considering issues of trust and recognition, he reconsidered and temporarily set that idea aside.

But circumstances are different now; with his Wizard power and status, he has enough strength to suppress Scepter and others. Additionally, with the allure of resources like the Construct Potion, he doesn’t need to worry about Scepter and the others refusing his invitation.

Once the teaching staff issue is resolved, the establishment of the Academy will be a natural success.

After thinking for a moment, Su Nan made up his mind.

He flipped his wrist, and a small, exquisite model of a wooden house appeared out of thin air in the palm of his hand.

It was the main body of the Secret Forest Hut, found in the Space Ring of Megison and the others.

As he had suspected, the Night Owl had long since perished at the hands of the Truth Council. The Hunter, who had maintained secret contact with Evans, was also likely in great danger.

Including Su Nan, only four unfortunate members remain in the Secret Forest Hut, making it practically just a name.

But this is convenient, as it allows him to effortlessly take over the remaining manpower.

Putting the Secret Forest Hut away, Su Nan got up and left the study.

Dragon Forest Area 3, above a plain.

Su Nan’s figure materialized out of thin air, observing Hidden Dragon galloping across the plain below, with Amy seated on its back, a smile playing on his lips.

For the journey to Star Tower, Su Nan had not brought Hidden Dragon with him, leaving it in Long Lin.

Over the past two years, Hidden Dragon had not undergone Bloodline Refinement, resulting in a slow increase in its Bloodline concentration.

However, its Bloodline concentration was originally over 90%, and after more than two years, it was now close to 94%.

The only issue was that once its Bloodline concentration surpassed 90%, Hidden Dragon's Sub-Dragon Species Bloodline became the strongest in Long Lin. The blood of other Sub-Dragon Species had no effect when directly integrated into Hidden Dragon.

It had to be synthesized and refined before it could effectively enhance Hidden Dragon's Bloodline concentration.

Fortunately, there was plenty of Subdragon blood in Long Lin, so the rate of Hidden Dragon's Bloodline concentration increase remained largely unaffected.

Su Nan estimated that in another two or three years at most, Hidden Dragon’s Bloodline evolution would be complete.

At that time, he would possess another powerful combat force, comparable to that of a Wizard.

Thinking of this, a faint smile flickered in Su Nan's eyes.

"Meow, Su Nan!"

A clear voice interrupted his thoughts.

He felt a slight weight on his shoulder and turned his head to see Amy perched there, its bright blue eyes fixed on him, asking a flurry of questions.

"When did you come back, meow?"

"Did you find Star Tower, meow?"

"Why did it take so long, meow?"

Su Nan quickly interjected, smiling as he replied, "I've only been back for a few days. Star Tower has been located, but something came up, causing a bit of a delay."

Amy didn't press further, simply happy to see Su Nan return.

But then, the little creature's nose twitched, and it moved closer to him, sniffing a few times, its pupils widening in surprise.

"Meow! You've advanced to Wizard!"

"You can sense that?" Su Nan asked, looking at Amy in astonishment.

Although Amy had the ability to perceive Energy Particle Fluctuations, Su Nan had deliberately suppressed his own Energy Particle Fluctuation, so Amy shouldn’t have been able to detect it.

"My senses are very sharp, meow! The aura around you is identical to that of the Wizards I've encountered before!"

Amy proudly raised its head, glancing at Su Nan with admiration.

"You're so amazing, meow!"

"It took you just over twenty years to become a Wizard, meow!"

"And in such a challenging environment! You're the most outstanding genius I've seen, aside from my master, meow!"

Amy waved its limbs excitedly, and anyone unaware would have thought it was the one who had advanced to Wizard.

Curiosity sparked in Su Nan, and he asked, “How long did it take your master to become a Wizard?”

Amy had initially intended to gesture a number, but after observing its chubby paws, it gave up and replied crisply, “Sixteen years, meow.”

“Sixteen years to become a Wizard, huh.”

Su Nan nodded slightly; that was indeed impressive.

“Not quite, meow.” Amy shook its head in surprise. “My master became a Wizard at sixteen years old.”

“Sixteen years old?” Su Nan was taken aback but quickly recovered. “Your master is a True Spirit Descendant?”

"That's right, meow!" Amy said proudly.

Su Nan clicked his tongue in amazement.

The term "True Spirit Descendant" refers to the offspring of True Spirit Wizards.

When someone reaches the level of Wizard, their life essence surpasses that of ordinary beings, allowing their offspring to inherit greater physique and spiritual power than normal people. They almost always possess the potential to become Wizards and find it easier to advance along the Wizard path.

For instance, the children of two First Level Wizards can typically become at least Level Three Wizard Apprentices, with a significantly higher probability of advancing to Wizard compared to ordinary individuals.

If the offspring come from two Third Level Wizards, barring any unforeseen circumstances, they are almost guaranteed to become Formal Wizards.

Even more remarkable are the offspring of True Spirit Wizards, many of whom achieve Formal Wizard status by the age of sixteen or seventeen!

Individuals of this caliber are called True Spirit Descendants.

Within the Wizarding world, True Spirit Descendants are often synonymous with geniuses.

Su Nan hadn't expected that Amy's master was a True Spirit Descendant. Given this revelation, it wasn't surprising they were able to raise such a unique Magical Pet as Amy.

"Second Generation Witch, huh?

Their foundation is not something an ordinary Wizard can compare to.

However, just like the Dragon Clan, the stronger the Wizard, the harder it becomes for them to reproduce.

In the entire Multiverse, the number of True Spirit Descendants is extremely small.

Su Nan has grown increasingly curious about why Amy was left behind in Starlight Continent.

Yet, seeing the proud little one, he wisely refrained from asking and simply smiled as he gently rubbed the little fellow's head.

When the era of the Wizard's return arrives, Amy's master will presumably also return to Starlight Continent, and the reason will naturally be revealed then.

"Roar!"

A cry from Hidden Dragon echoed below.

Su Nan landed on the ground, and Hidden Dragon immediately trotted over excitedly, affectionately nuzzling against him.

As the concentration of Bloodline increased, Hidden Dragon's body length now exceeded thirty meters, approaching forty meters.

The contrast of such a massive body making such affectionate movements was quite striking.

"Come on, let's head to the Laboratory. It's been a while since I refined some Bloodline for you."

Su Nan patted Hidden Dragon's scales and smiled gently.

"In another two years, you'll be able to transform into a true Giant Dragon."
