Hearing the unfamiliar voice in his head, Karyk felt a headache arise. He couldn't recall ever hearing that voice before. The more he tried to locate the source of the voice, the worse his memory felt until the voice completely vanished.

"Could it be the memories of the devoured?" He wondered, shaking off the strange thoughts.

His focus returned to the crystal in his hand. Connecting with the crystal was simple. All he needed to do was release some abyssal essence, and the crystal was linked to him.

For that same reason, outsiders couldn't use the crystal, even if they managed to kill the owners. It was the perfect security mechanism of these crystals.

With the connection established, Karyk felt as if the crystal was a part of his own body. He immediately understood how to utilize the crystal, as if it were an extension of himself.

"So that's how you are used. In that case, if I were to devour you, wouldn't that be the same...?"

Karyk started devouring the crystal before even finishing his thought. He was risking the crystal as he had faith in his ability. Once devouring the crystal's ability, he could control the realm without having to carry the crystal physically. The crystal lost its shine slowly. Soon, it turned to dust that slid through the gap between his fingers like time that was beyond a person's control. Despite losing the crystal, Karyk had received what he wanted. If anything, the effect of the crystal was further enhanced, once it became a part of him. Karyk jumped off the cliff, into the ocean that was at the depths. His body was in freefall, approaching the water. Even Karyk wasn't sure what kind of atrocities might be hiding inside the ocean since even Aetherian Beasts hadn't entered it before. Still, he didn't have to worry about it as water wasn't his real goal. A portal right above the ocean, activated by his newfound realm control abilities. Karyk's body passed through the portal, going through a Spatial Displacement which brought him straight to the outer realm. He fell from the sky of the outer realm. With the beasts already considering him as one of them, he didn't have to hide his unique traits. Two draconian wings came out of his back, being as sharp as a blade. The Abyssal Essence within his body was allowed to roam free. The abyssal essence gathered in the middle of his forehead, forming a third eye that appeared similar to an Angel's eyes on their real body. Through the eye, Karyk was able to see through everything in the outer realm. Even the treasures and formations of the outside world were useless in front of him..

"There it is." After flying above a large part of the outer realm, he finally found something that caught his attention. There was an entire city that was created by the major clans throughout the years. The city had managed to survive throughout the years, protected by an expensive Formation. It was also because the Aetherian Beasts never travelled this far into the Outer Realm. The city was a base station of the survivors of the outer world. Despite the existence of the city, the number of survivors to return was so low, partially because the city was a ruthless unforgiving place in itself. "It looks like the rumor was true." He wasn't informed about this city by the clan head, even as he was sentenced to enter this world. If he hadn't devoured the commander right before entering the city, Karyk was certain that he never would've even known about the city. "What a perfect place, far away from the chaos." Karyk landed at the entrance of the invisible city. They could only see the figure of Karyk, growing ever so distant until he disappeared. 19:25

After half an hour, they saw the figure return. He was empty handed and there was no one behind him. There was only absolute silence. The guards were stationed right behind the invisibility cloak. They looked at Karyk who looked nothing like the major clans. He had physical traits that were never seen in one person. The guards even wondered if the young man was an Aetherian Beast instead. They wanted to alert the others, but they were worried that the sound of their footsteps might alert the person who shouldn't have been able to see the city yet. Was it a coincidence that he landed right in front of the city? At least that's what they believed to maintain their peaceful mind. Their peaceful mind was shattered into a thousand pieces when Karyk looked right in their direction. "He can see us?" A guard asked, only for another guard to close his mouth. "Maybe it was just another coincidence?" the other guard whispered. He saw Karyk suddenly disappear, wondering if he left. "There aren't many coincidences in this world." A man's voice fell in their ears. Before they could react, they felt someone tap their shoulders lightly. Their bodies froze and they fell on the ground, only able to watch footsteps walking away from them, entering the unaware city. They could only see the figure of Karyk, growing ever so distant until he disappeared. After half an hour, they saw the figure return. He was empty handed and there was no one behind him. There was only absolute silence. "D-did you kill them?" One of the guards asked with great struggle. "Not all of them. Some of them are more useful to me than they are dead," Karyk answered as he kept walking away until he was out of the invisibility shroud. The guards were worried about him until he disappeared. They thought that he was going to kill them as well, but they were left alive. They didn't know why that was the case. After a short time, they were also freed from their paralysis. They stood up and entered the city to check themselves. After an hour, they again rushed out, their faces extremely pale. The city was completely ruined. Not a single person was left behind. All the treasures were also gone. In a single moment, the entire hierarchy of this world was destroyed. "We have to leave this place!"
