    If you look at it like that it makes sense that the elder could lie to his friend about him coming from some big background. If anything his background is even bigger than what the elder hinted at since anyone able to travel between worlds should be a huge powerhouse compared to their backwater place. And naturally a powerhouse wouldn't randomly drop off a kid somewhere unless if the status of the kid is big enough to warrant the trip.
