1 drop of blood = 1-Up. Other people game overnight, I game overnight and bleed.

Ever since the dimensional storms descended upon Earth, numerous dimensional zones have appeared, bringing with them all kinds of dimensional creatures — Immortals, Buddhas, Devils, Angels, Elves, etc.

Yet, all these strange dimensional zones can turn into dungeon instances on my phone. Other people risk their lives adventuring, I spend all my time gaming.

Monsters drop dimensional crystals that boost stats, imbue new skills, and join me as Companion Beasts. These Companion Beasts fight alongside me or alone, augmenting me with their skills and strength. Rare monsters in real life? I’ll just restart the game with a drop of blood to grind it.

I really need a blood transfusion. Collapse

Boring, couldn't even make it to 100 chapters. I'd give it a 3 in terms of my personal enjoyment. Let me remind you of the title of this book because it definitively describes this whole book (what I've read so far). The MC's cheat is that he can grow using a magic mobile phone. Well, he does what every rational person in that situation would, spend as much time gaming as possible. The problem is that that is a VERY boring premise. This isn't even VR. It's MC pushing buttons and making an AV move.

The author knows this is boring. So, his answer to this problem is to make the side characters do stupid actions that force the MC to act. So yes, this is one of those novels where even though many things can be solved just by talking, or having normal interactions, they cannot be allowed to happen.
Since our MC is passive, everyone else must be overly active to compensate.
So, MC will "randomly" meet particularly important people, and everyone will doubt him no matter how much he proves himself. He will remain quiet/passive about all this until he's forced to act. Why? Because -> "Let me game in peace."

In summary, this is another in the long line of Chinese novels with "lowkey" characters that doesn't work because lowkey characters make for boring writing. So, every other character has to act out in outlandish ways to bring the much-needed drama and conflict to the MC.

Yes. This was the factor that made me stop reading this novel.

All of the protagonist's interactions are "forced" by third parties. The protagonist seems like an outcast who only wants to play; it's quite annoying. All of his interactions are distant, and he constantly tries to walk away to get back to playing; it's simply unbearable.

      I don't want a protagonist that bland.

At the time, I completely abandoned any novel by this author, but I recently read "Beast God," and it turned out to be very good. The protagonist is more "lively" and present in this one; it's quite entertaining, so maybe I'll give Super Gene a chance.

Do you know if Super Gene is good?

Looking for a xianxia where the MC is the only disciple of a peak until the beginning of the novel where another female disciple joins him.

MC cultivates by playing video games and has a reputation of being an obsessed gamer/crazy person and everybody ignores him especially when he claims the peak master is his wife.

I think he uses up his energy or blood to play the game and thats why he seems so tired all the time in IRL. Later on he unlocks other games in his console which turns out to be other worlds.

Does anybody knows the name of this novel? I've been looking but cant seem to find it. Really appreciate it if anybody can point me towards the novel thanks!

Enjoyable but a lot of things are forgotten or ignored; this author should not be allowed to write long novels.

    Would not recommend.

Got bored at 700+ like you thought author was cooking but it ended up being overcooked with bland plot, mediocre character building, and feels like bro just wanted to make this up cuz of some childhood fantasy that he had

Same as super Gene, MC has absolutely no idea on how his power works even after 1300+ chapters. I’m fed up guys. Later his gaming time is very low compared to starting. He was forced to do something that he doesn’t want to or need to. Too much forced plots. I quit. mimo

Though it was a good read to pass time, sadly it does not deliver. The premise is there but lacks at the end of day. Honestly The tag of Harem should be removed as its a misrepresentation of the word itself, the MC has no romantic events other than one as MC acts as he ignores everything. Leaving the main novel ending apart, There is foreshadowing of a sequel that hopefully will satisfy all the tags.

Honestly I cant suggest this novel myself to anyone I know as there are glaring plot holes and sequences throughout. Much less the "dense protag" vs "ignorant protag" mindset is prevalent in this novel and rather is disappointing as ultimately could have added alot of characterizations that otherwise would have failed and do fail miserably. Most of the women that have any sort of ability to maybe grow is off screen or ignored for "story timeline adaptability". Best example of this is Weng Lu, Que Zue if remember her name right(ultimately a major person that could have had more characterization than Weng Lu due to her interactions and understandings of MC). Among those, Zaung(SP) princess with her actions and understandings of MC are rather insightful at time but as time went on she needed more to rely on than her "gift". The Author does not deliver on any of the women around him nor even those he deems as support.
