Let Me Game in Peace我只想安静地打游戏

I just finished the log arc and need to rant a bit. So this review is a bit more on the "rant" side.

I really wanted to like this novel. Infact some parts of it are very good. The world building, the characters(somewhat), the action are really good. I was able to read and enjoy about half of the novel despite its many problems because of this.

The biggest and the most annoying part of this novel is the forced bad luck scenarios that keep happening almost every time the mc interacts with something in the real world. This feels unnatural and forced. The mc keeps lamenting why it is happening and still goes out many times for no reason. Another main problem is that almost every encounter is with someone much stronger than our mc. So everytime its some kind of plot armor which comes into play and saves our mc.


Once the mc becomes strong we get other types of forced scenarios where mc is not able to use his full power and gets beaten black and blue. There was a time where the mc is forced to carry a very heavy log which immobilises him and he need to enter into enemy territory to drop it. Not only is the mc not able to fight properly because of the log, the enemies themselves are very strong. This whole thing is done by his 'pet' for no apparent reason. In the end mc coincidentally kills the enemy and gets nothing. Stuff like these happen multiple times and really irk me.

Another problem is the mcs character is inconsistent. Sometimes he is 'heartless' and can't understand emotion. Other times he is a saint who risks his life for people who are not really close to him. Another very annoying thing is that our mc a lot of times doesn't explain things to others and often causes quite some problems because of this.

There was a river which our mc and some military people need to cross. But can't because it's very poisonous. Our mc is immune to it because"reasons". Others don't know about it. He jumps into it without any warning. Of course there will be some good person who will try to save our mc by risking their life. MC is like why are jumping?

Hey heads up to the people who are caught up, a lot of the recent have chunks of text missing, so I would switch to boxnovel if it happens. I put the chapter in the comments a few times, but not always, so using boxnovel for a while is probably better, at least for this novel. I don't really notice this problem with other novels, so

One of my top best novel I've read
In all game tags/genre novels that I've tried to read this one of the best and i like the most personally because mostly in other game tag/genre novels that I've read is like a description of someone gaming than a novel.

Why hasn't there been an update? Is it on a break or hiatus? I hope it's not dropped.

Reading the first few chapters, it feels like My Idle Gaming System. I pray to the heavenly dao that it isn't as bad as idle system was tho, cause the premise is actually a LOT of fun to read

دوستان لطفا نظرات شت ندهید این داستان فوق العاده است ولی در نسخه اصلی 4 ماه است که نویسنده آپدیتی ارائه نکرده که من رو بیشتر همه اذیت میکنه چون داستان در حساس ترین مرحله قرار داره که باید ادامه وگرنه داستان خیلی مونده

Read this even before I created the acc
I stopped at 700~ chapters.
At that point it was just him getting around > dungeons> getting stronger and repeat.
Idk if there's a higher realm but like damn 800 chapters ( nearly ) and he hasn't broken through it? ( I think it was mythic I don't remember what's as above epic ) but pretty sure mythic is nothing but a start from his immortal sutra

When I came in here it said continue but I don’t remember reading this and I think I would remember reading 386 chapters
