    By paying taxes and pitching in to help fund police and fire departments, you're at less risk to be burnt in your own home or shot on the roadside. By being altruistic and paying taxes, you are also helping yourself.

    Same thing with what he's doing here. By helping other people grow and prosper, he's investing in them and getting loyal and strong subordinates.


    Yup, similar argument against dumb shit like (genuine, not the 'you noticed that there are differences so you must be a racist' kind ) racism. Genuinely talented people are rare as hens teeth, so let them display their talents and we the plebs can enjoy the fruit of their talents, whether that be inventions, music or whatever.

    Preventing them from displaying their talents due to dumb shit like melanin content (or lack there of) has always seemed dumb as all hell to me. There aren't enough geniuses to begin with so let 'em do their thing.
