    18/01 Sunday . I'm impressed, I read this volume in 8 days straight.

    Let’s put it this way: I really liked this volume. It brought a new perspective, a new way of moving forward from what happened at the beginning and from the entire structure of the first volume. I really enjoyed the mysteries, the way he acted as a detective, the people he met, the plots that unfolded, and the new characters that were introduced.

    But there’s no way not to compare it to the previous volume, because the earlier one did pretty much everything this one did — just better. The characters were more intriguing, the story was more cohesive, and there was less “bloat,” fewer parts that could have been cut or simplified. Everything there felt like it existed for the sake of the story, always helping to develop the plot and make us care more about the characters and certain events.

    In this volume, I feel that some things could have been simplified more, while others could have been developed further. That doesn’t really make it a bad thing. It’s more like the previous volume was a 10, and this one is a 9.5. Even so, it’s still very interesting. I really liked the world-building, the aspects of mysticism that were explored, the new powers, and the new characters that were introduced. All of that works very well.

    I don’t think it’s better than the previous one, but it’s still very good. Now it’s time to see what happens from here on out, right?

    the factories there are suffering a shortage in manpower, so they’re willing to promise that the working hours and minimum wage will be much better than the current standard
    Similar thing happened in Europe after the many great plagues ravaged it. It even led into the Renissance. However, it'll prolly just get bad again once population recovers and jobs get scarce. Again, same thing happened when we hit the industrial revolution until war and liberalism changed things once more.
    Its a vicious cycle thats difficult to break.
    P S: Its so sad klein sees his family again but cant interact with them.

    10/04/2025- Finished Volume 2. Wow this novel is amazing. I started reading after finishing the anime and I've loved every bit of it. Writing isn't easy!!! Onto to volume 3, The Traveler!
