"The weather is fine today, nothing happened."

Chu Xun, who looked to be in his early twenties, flipped through the notes he had written a few days ago; they were almost identical.

After thinking for a moment, he continued writing two more lines: "I remembered that summer in Pinecone Village, An Xiu hiding a water bag in her clothes, calling out 'Brother Xun' as she ran along the paddy field ridge."

Before he could continue writing, a servant boy reported from outside the door: "Master, the Holy Spirit Immortal Venerable wishes to request a decree to avenge the Hongtian Immortal Venerable for striking him with his crutch."

"An grudge from tens of thousands of years ago, how can he still remember it now?" Chu Xun shook his head and sighed, casually closing the notebook in front of him.

On the cover, five large characters were prominently displayed: My Path to Immortality! Collapse

The first 80 chapters are pretty good, it can even be said that mc acts like a hidden immortal (cultivator). It even gave me a slight “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times” vibe. But the moment mc gets a little bit of power, it does a full 180.

First, morality. No matter what mc does, the story always puts him on a moral pedestal. If mc needs to kill someone, all of them turn out to be assholes; not a single one is allowed to be normal enough to put mc through tough decision. Like, if he won’t kill, he’ll break a promise — but if he does, how is he any better? Such dilemma can be used to introduce heart demons or some shit btw yo_28 , cultivator stories love the trope.

Second, consequence. In the worstcase, mc walks away unscathed; in the best, he actually benefits. FamilyGuy056 He’s like, “As long as I don’t court death I’m good” then puts himself in courting death situation.

Third, stakes. It never feels like mc can lose, or that he’s even remotely anxious about his problems. 25 He just goes with the flow, which would’ve been fine if he focused only on himself, but he doesn’t. So his greatest excuse “I can bide my time and solve it slowly” is shit.

Overall, if you won’t think about it, it’s decent. The moment you stop though, whether to let chapters build or to reflect upon the plot you’ll have to convince yourself to come back.

Yes, but not sure if you will like them or not,
Saving the school would have been easier as a cafeteria worker. (Royal Road, OP MC, School life)
            Game at Carousel (Horror movie)
After Seeing the Comic’s Bullet Comments, I Tore Up My Cannon Fodder Script (MC realise he is a comic book character and can see bullet comment)
Can Even a Mob Highschooler Like Me be a Normie if I Become an Adventurer?(Japanese Apocalypse novel with card gacha of mythical creatures and Gods. Warning :- MC mamy times act like typical Japanese MC, extremely likely Harem, tho romance is almost non existing)
The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix’s Novels Also Desires Happiness (Reincarnated inside game/book as villain in Yuri novel, Harem)

    It's pretty nice.
I've caught up on the latest chapter, and will come back for sure.

Although he's not strong at the start like the title suggests, the title is click bait.

The title is a massive scam, the mc is NOT a "hidden" immortal, he is the most high profile dude i've seen in this kind of novel. The only low profile thing he's ever done is hide the pythons in the lake, that's it. He literally casts rain spells in the middle of a drought, feeds his pets the said rain like he's a disney princess in the middle of the day, keeps crows the size of a human at his place, and yet the damn side characters act completely oblivious to all of this, like, they don't even question why small animals move furniture for him or why his crows are so massive. And in one of the recent chapters he literally makes his massive damn crows bring swords he forged that have aoe slash effects to a battlefield between two countries, like his country wouldn't try to find him in the future by searching for those crows. The title should be "mortal immortal" or something bond

A lonnnnnng time ago the land where Jing kingdom now stands was filled with brilliant minds. One day, God of Art and Music visited this brilliant land to make it shine even brighter, but Emperor was displeased. Arrogantly he proclaimed “Man of science has no need for artistic impulse”. Thus greatly angering the God. As punishment God casted Feeblemind on all inhabitants and descendants of that land; since then not many had the right to call themselves sentient.

Damn right. I'm reading the raw chapters, and he's the highest-profile cultivator in the series. He can't mind his own business and stay quiet. Instead of simply completing the System's tasks and leveling up efficiently, it took him 300 years to finish tasks that should have taken less than 50. Rather than solving problems the easy way by completing the simple tasks given by the System, he spent years creating all kinds of stuff to fight stronger opponents and even built an entire army. Which part of that is "hidden"?

So my biggest gripe with this novel is that the name is a scam. This isn't about some hidden immortal living a low-key life. It's about constantly praising a pretty high profile protagonist. If that is your cup, then this is okayish, should be good enough to pass some time.

    (written by AI)
    Hi,

I wanted to suggest an improvement to the search functionality that I think would significantly improve the experience for readers.

Currently, when searching for a keyword (e.g. "dragon"), the results page shows all matching novels but provides no way to sort or filter them. This makes it hard to find quality content, especially when a common word returns hundreds of results.

I'd love to see the following added:

    Sorting options:
    • By rating (highest first)
    • By popularity (views/reads)
    • By last updated (crucial for following ongoing novels)
    • By number of chapters
    • By release date

    Filters:
    • Genre/tags
    • Status (completed / ongoing / hiatus)
    • Origin/language (Chinese, Korean, English, etc.)
    • Minimum star rating
    • Minimum number of ratings (to avoid novels with 1 inflated review)
    • Chapter count range
    • Content rating (all ages / mature)

    Search scope options:
    • Search in title only vs tags vs full description
(A novel with "dragon" in the title is very different from one that mentions it once in the synopsis)

Even adding just sorting by rating and a status filter would make a big difference. Happy to elaborate on any of these. Thanks for the work you put into the site!

You can use genres or event tags then sort those novels, you can sort all completed novels on the menu button, you can specifically sort out Chinese novels or any other language, you can press the blue link with the chapter amount and then sort it. You can find it in each novel’s information area, for example this novel says there is 200+ chapters in the original so you can press that then sort out novels with the same amount of chapters. You can even sort out the publishing year. I don’t know what you mean by search though

Actually, in the order of operations, BODMAS, the above calculation becomes:
        5x5-20+40-40/10
        = 25-20+40-4
        = 5+40-4
        = 45-4

I don't know what kind of youngsters gave this novel such a high rating. It's mediocre at best. There are no obvious flaws but it's also lacking in originality. Full of old cliches routines... and a system peepo004 Who would have thought? What does an asian author do when they don't have talent and effort to reveal the plot in an interesting way? That's right they add the System

How could it have been published in 2026

I think a system is perfectly fine, because the alternative is most often just totally heaven defying luck, god-like talent or some badly written (supposed) 200-iq character. Which are 99% times even worse than a system.
