Awakening in a world not his own, Ning Qi sought but one thing: immortality.

Blessed with an Innate Spirit, gifted with perfect, supreme Comprehension, he entered seclusion that very day.
Without need, he would not walk the world.

Without an insurmountable foe, he would not reveal his power.

He cultivates in secret, studying a thousand ancient canons, discerning the truth of the Dao from creation itself.

He forges techniques unseen by the ancients and carves a path unthinkable to his contemporaries.

From the depths of time, the Ancient Saints awaken...

But none of them know that in this world, a truly invincible being already exists.

...Enthroned in the heavens, Ning Qi imparts his teachings, raises the World Tree, and ascends creation itself, declaring to all existence:

“In this world, there shall be Immortals.”

The Great Dao manifests; the world itself transcends.

All beings prostrate themselves. All living things bow their heads.

“All hail the Eternal Progenitor of the Dao!” Collapse

What’s the point of this novel??? I don’t understand what would a story about the main character crossing rivers and grasping mountains in .5 seconds doesn’t seem that endearing at all 🤷‍♂️

When this was a wuxia and before the whole martial Saint arc, it was at least decent. Mc was smart, secondary characters were endearing and seemed to have their own story, the world was interesting. Then the martial Saint arc came and it felt like the author was rushing, everything the mc needing just came to him, cultivation resources, treasures that would immediately help him skip realms, answers to an unsolvable invasion, everything. The writing took a dip but at least the concepts were interesting enough to continue.

I would recommend just stopping before the 242. everything later is complete garbage and waste of time.

I really enjoyed this novel up until around chapter 172. If we accept the premise and its results, the novel is actually pretty interesting up until then. It follows the “paths to ascension have been severed” setting decently well, with glimpses of a higher realm scattered throughout the world and only one known being in that realm in the world. The main character, with his comprehensive ability, is poised as the one who could rebuild the knowledge of how to reach that realm, an effort which previously took many successive generations of failed attempts.

    Then chapter 172 hits.

If you want to enjoy this book based off of what I have described, I recommend stopping here.

Chapter 172 reveals that a background character who made a brief appearance is actually a cultivator who reached that higher realm before the pathways were severed and has been constantly reincarnating. The following chapters then introduce two more characters, previously unmentioned, who are on the same level of strength. There is a third, but something was always up with him and it isn’t that much of a surprise who he is.

It is then revealed that the great mystery of why everyone who tried to ascend died will be naturally resolved in one year’s time without any effort on anybody’s part. This kills the momentum that the plot had been building, and it quickly falls to the common pitfalls of ever-increasing escalation that most cultivation novels suffer from.

Up until chapter 172, I would rate this an 8/10. After chapter 172, I would halve it to 4/10.

After he ascend to the Mountain-Sea Realm it become crap fast, it suddenly become a routine. Someone will underestimate him, offend him, then the face-slapping. The characters are just basically 2D. they only have two ideas, I hate him or I worship him. Also note the cringeworthy drama between him and his people.
