  At this point it will take an actual miracle of a plot device to give Kyle's party any hope of winning this.
  
  The humanity is basically a bunch of ants in a transparent container that the demons could dispose of at any moment. Only the Overseer seems to be stopping them for "reasons".

      i think it was because any advancement needed for a human in KTS required a specter so they never had a chance to fight back because everything was controlled (nick being an outlier, since he became a specter himself, which is probably something that could never have been replicated), in this novel everyone can still advance its just that its difficult to do it without being noticed and killed by the overseer or made traitor to humanity, also people coming and sharing knowledge and resources from different specialized organizations brings in more variables and a culmination of them might break the deadlock they have here

        Only supreme world support here seems quality difference though i agree humanity in kts was more minutely and fundamentally controlled
        
        Their whole progression was divided in eras where they'll be reset after certain point when human became mid champion or somethin

        I feel like the comparison isn’t being applied quite accurately, like if the comparison is whether humanity in KTS in was in a worse situation than Humanity is in this Primary World then the answer is obviously yes. The situation was so bad that they were only able to get out of it because of an irreplicable statistical anomaly occurring. However, the chances that Humanity eventually succeeds at breaking through this situation eventually and the chances that this specific group is the one that does it are very very different.
        Despite Nick being a Human/Specter hybrid that initially attuned to the Null specter being incredibly useful for breaking through that situation, he still couldn’t have done it without standing on the shoulders of giants and the generations that came before making it possible through their sacrifices and back-up plans.

        Actually was nick attuning to null a random luck thing ?
        Though yes situation of Aeiges is tougher they weren't even aware of enslavement or rather true threat unlike here at least everything isn't micro managed by villains like the case with kts

        There were a few things that humanity had no control over and couldn’t replicate. First, attuning to Null has happened to other children before but people couldn’t really learn the method for replicating it because the Null kills anyone that knows too much about it so that happening is essentially random. Secondly, Nick becoming a Specter was the result of him essentially merging with a Specter that was too strong for him to dominate and it could have chosen to kill him, the fact that it didn’t was up to its personality which they didn’t have any control over. Thirdly, and potentially most importantly, both of these random events happened at the right time and to the right person. The aliens were learning from their mistakes and adjusting parameters each cycle so that they couldn’t happen again so if they learned that what happened to Nick was possible in an earlier cycle they would have prevented it from ever happening again and if it happened in a later cycle then the restrictions on humanity would have been too tight for it to matter.
