Xiao Yu was humanity’s greatest genius, a scientist whose intellect surpassed all others. He saw the signs of Earth’s impending doom a decade before it happened, warning the world of the catastrophe to come. But instead of being hailed as a savior, he was ridiculed, dismissed as a madman by his peers, and ignored by society.

Realizing that nothing could change humanity’s fate, Xiao Yu made a decision. He turned his brilliance toward survival. Using knowledge decades ahead of human science, he constructed the first true interstellar battleship—not for humanity, but for himself. And when the end came, he did what no one else could. He abandoned his mortal body, fusing his very soul with the ship’s central computer and escaping into the endless void.

Now, drifting through the vast and indifferent cosmos, he is the last remnant of a dead civilization. But he refuses to let humanity vanish without a trace. Why was Earth destroyed? Was it truly unavoidable, or was there something more sinister at play? To uncover the truth, he must push beyond the limits of human science. His battleship is just the beginning. Through relentless technological advancement, he will evolve, forging a warship that can traverse the stars, a fleet that can reclaim humanity’s lost legacy.

The universe is vast, filled with unknown civilizations, ancient mysteries, and dangers beyond imagination. But Xiao Yu will not stop. He will find answers. He will ensure humanity’s flame is not extinguished.

The journey into the unknown begins now. Collapse

I’m doing a holiday mass release of 20 chapters for Rebirth of the Super Battleship. I’ll be doing the same for the other novels I translate over the next few days too. If you’re interested in those other novels since some are not on here, you can check them out on Galacticnovels.com. Enjoy!

    Disclaimer: light spoilers.

Think of this novel as a sci-fi flavored adventure story about uncovering the settings' mysteries. The main character is a hive mind type character that controls a fleet of ships (and occasionally a few planets, at least as far as I've read). The science is in no way grounded in reality and is almost certainly whatever the author thought was cool with a few buzzwords thrown in; a decent amount of suspension of disbelief will be required to enjoy this story. Probably more than your typical sci-fi story, especially near the beginning. Now as you might suspect, the main character is is quite moronic for a 20 nobel prize winners (he ignores important avenues of research from experimental discoveries‽ Where is your curiosity as a scientist‽) - especially in regards to his science and critical thinking skills, though he is certainly not the only character to have this trait.

I stopped reading because many parts of the story are too nonsensical for me, and I've been gradually losing interest in the story at the 323rd chapter.

If you love an adventure story stories about discovering the nature of the world, sci-fi flavored (and getting stronger from it), then you have my recommendation. Otherwise, use your own judgement from my review. Unfortunately I'm not very good at identifying the positive aspects of things or writing reviews, so this review might be excessively harsh or of poor quality. Feedback is appreciated.

maybe it makes sense in context later but man, i dont think the author knows how selective the nobel prizes are. they really dont like giving it to the same person, theres like 5 individuals who have ever won twice. only the entire entity of the red cross has ever won thrice. you would need to have done world shaking, paradigm shifting research that rewrites everything we know about the world every year for them to keep begrudgingly giving you laureate medals, and it would need to be twice as crazy every time. at 20, thats not just impressive, its like, the scientific mandate of heaven. its purple math from the east, 9 colored physics light emenating from the crown of your head, a divine son of science heaven type shit.

Hey guys, I'm the translator of Rebirth of the Super Battleship, and I wanted to leave a review for anyone who wants to read this novel. It's hard to judge any story, especially one with over 1000 chapters, based on a few chapters.

This novel was originally written in 2013. It's the author's first published work, and yeah, it shows in some of the early chapters. The science is loose, some explanations might raise an eyebrow, and there's a fair amount of hand-waving when it comes to realism. The author even addresses this directly in a later note, saying flat out that this is a story meant to be enjoyed as fiction, not picked apart technically.

That said, there's a reason I chose to translate this one. Despite the flaws, there's a really compelling sense of scale and progression. The story follows a scientist who uploads his consciousness into a spaceship right before Earth is destroyed. What starts as a small-scale survival story slowly grows into a galaxy-spanning journey full of alien civilizations, tech trees, space battles, and exploration.

I'm a long-time sci-fi reader, and it's hard to find books in this genre that actually hold my attention. This one does. It's not perfect, but it's consistently engaging, and there's a reason it became one of the most popular Chinese sci-fi novels. In fact, once I've finished translating this one I plan on translating his latest work which someone here mentioned. I genuinely look forward to the days where I translate this novel, and I hope you can see that in the quality of the translation.

It's far from perfect, especially early on, but it's not trying to be flawless. It's trying to tell a big, sprawling space journey. And for what it is, it does that well, especially in the later chapters. If you're a fan of Sci-fi try it out.

This book is complete, the final chapter is 1073. It has 3.3 million Chinese characters which should be about 2.1-2.5 million English words. So we have a lot left of the story.
