Disclaimer: light spoilers.

Think of this novel as a sci-fi flavored adventure story about uncovering the settings' mysteries. The main character is a hive mind type character that controls a fleet of ships (and occasionally a few planets, at least as far as I've read). The science is in no way grounded in reality and is almost certainly whatever the author thought was cool with a few buzzwords thrown in; a decent amount of suspension of disbelief will be required to enjoy this story. Probably more than your typical sci-fi story, especially near the beginning. Now as you might suspect, the main character is is quite moronic for a 20 nobel prize winners (he ignores important avenues of research from experimental discoveries‽ Where is your curiosity as a scientist‽) - especially in regards to his science and critical thinking skills, though he is certainly not the only character to have this trait.

I stopped reading because many parts of the story are too nonsensical for me, and I've been gradually losing interest in the story at the 323rd chapter.

If you love an adventure story stories about discovering the nature of the world, sci-fi flavored (and getting stronger from it), then you have my recommendation. Otherwise, use your own judgement from my review. Unfortunately I'm not very good at identifying the positive aspects of things or writing reviews, so this review might be excessively harsh or of poor quality. Feedback is appreciated.

Hey guys, I'm the translator of Rebirth of the Super Battleship, and I wanted to leave a review for anyone who wants to read this novel. It's hard to judge any story, especially one with over 1000 chapters, based on a few chapters.

This novel was originally written in 2013. It's the author's first published work, and yeah, it shows in some of the early chapters. The science is loose, some explanations might raise an eyebrow, and there's a fair amount of hand-waving when it comes to realism. The author even addresses this directly in a later note, saying flat out that this is a story meant to be enjoyed as fiction, not picked apart technically.

That said, there's a reason I chose to translate this one. Despite the flaws, there's a really compelling sense of scale and progression. The story follows a scientist who uploads his consciousness into a spaceship right before Earth is destroyed. What starts as a small-scale survival story slowly grows into a galaxy-spanning journey full of alien civilizations, tech trees, space battles, and exploration.

I'm a long-time sci-fi reader, and it's hard to find books in this genre that actually hold my attention. This one does. It's not perfect, but it's consistently engaging, and there's a reason it became one of the most popular Chinese sci-fi novels. In fact, once I've finished translating this one I plan on translating his latest work which someone here mentioned. I genuinely look forward to the days where I translate this novel, and I hope you can see that in the quality of the translation.

It's far from perfect, especially early on, but it's not trying to be flawless. It's trying to tell a big, sprawling space journey. And for what it is, it does that well, especially in the later chapters. If you're a fan of Sci-fi try it out.

this one was dropped novel. For Nomadic Civilization novel there few good one, personally I like Star Voyage.

This is super old dropped it go read humanity is Missing I have billion's of clones from him it's better this one is not that good

A non human, specter of a broken civilization tying to preserve humanity...heh ironic
