These people died the moment they surrendered themselves to the Dreamspawn. He is the real killer — I merely stole what he had already taken. Who do you take me for, some kind of unhinged butcher?

Our Lord Asterion did not kill anyone, everyone had their own will and they willingly followed our Lord, this is such a slander towards our Lord by Mordret-sama to discredit him

Who is our lord Asterion or Mordred Sama? Doesn't Sama mean lord in nihongo?

I'm not a big fan of powerscaling, but there are some inconsistencies that bother me a little.

For example, when Sunny says he could destroy Mordret's shadow, why didn't he think of doing that to Asterion as well? Why do they all assume they're truly "immortal" in a world where even the gods have died? And why do the enemies also assume they can kill Nephis and Sunny? After all, wouldn't they also be immortal? It's not like everyone has Cassie's ability to read aspects.

I feel there's a lack of exploration in the intelligent use of sorcery, aspects, and memories; it's such a cool resource that's been sidelined for a while now. I remember Sunny combining several memories to do something at the beginning, and it was pure cinema.

To me, the characters fall too easily into situations that might just be the enemy overestimating themselves or lacking knowledge about the world's elements. Like, you don't need to disbelieve, but what does it cost to test the limits?

Yes i think is a very lacking exploration of Sorcery and memories. The last 400 or so chapters are dialogues and there is no clear fight scenes or detailed explanation unlike the beginning of the Novel.

They literally said from the start of this arc that you can't kill Asterion cause if even the idea of him remains in the world – even by a single person, he will not die. This is the entire reason why Sunny Neph and Cassie built the containment camps. To keep the idea of Asterion from spreading. Do y'all even comprehend what you're reading ? You're one of those people that say to skim through the chapters aren't you ?

Sunny wouldn't try to take Asterion shadow because Asterion is a mind reading supreme, probably be aware of it asap.

Sunny, Cas & Neph said they're buying time to look for a way to deal with Asterion. Since the usual ways of beating him up won't work without lots of human collateral.

That's G3s normal standard power scaling format. You're probably new to it so you're not that familiar with it yet.
      7
I'm not a physicist, mathematician, teacher, author, or anything close to one, so please bear with my humble attempt to explain it properly.
This is the base PISIFI formula:

      ‎I(S) = \frac{e^{-\sqrt{P(S)}} + \cos(P(S))}{1 + P(S)}

Imagine a curve that starts high on the left and plunges downward as his power rises

‎It would look like a downward-sloping curve, similar to a hyperbola:

      ‎- X-axis = Power
      ‎- Y-axis = Intelligence
‎- The line bends downward, never touching zero but getting closer as power skyrockets.

      Legend:
      ‎- \(I(S)\) = Intelligence of Sunny
      ‎- \(P(S)\) = Power level of Sunny

Basically the less power he has the more intelligence is required for him to face and defeat his foes. So more power requires less intelligence. That's to balance out the difficulty levels of his opponents. As you may have noticed, based on the formula; By the time sunny reaches divinity he will loose his ability to talk and communicate properly and will only use slurring and grunts sounds and various barking noises to convey his emotions to Nemphis.

    Quote: Wait.and.seen
I believe in Sunny, but I don't believe in the author, so Sunny is probably the weakest supreme. This is a downside of the novel, as Sunny is pathetic and insignificant when he's on the good side. It's disappointing.

It's true though, Barisbi G3 put it so much effort into Sunny's abilities, power ups, customization, by the time he was done describing everything sunny had, the power gap was so immense it was miles apart from his closest competition. G3 had no choice but to rush power up the villains like Mordy and Astey to try to balance it out a bit.

Take for example definition of serpent(terror of L049 form), it makes sunny immune to all mind and soul attacks, add jade saints protection, mind weave and soul weave, Mordy And or Astey actually can't put a dent on sunny even if he just stands there and let them try to throw everything they got at him.

That's on paper though. So what's the solution G3 cooked to fix this? Remove the spell that describes everything about Sunny's powers. Make everything abstract for him alone but defined for everyone else.

To be honest, I think that as soon as Sunny meets someone in battle, most of his enhancements will disappear. I've never seen a fight where Sunny had an easy time, and he usually comes out half-dead. I believe that if Sunny were to face off against an ordinary person in a one-on-one battle, he would once again come out half-dead.Why all this authorial nonsense about improvements when I already know that Sunny will be badly beaten in any fight, and there will be no improvements?I'm just sad for Sunny, he's being fed air, and even a cowardly propaganda clown is verbally stepping all over him.

Hmm, no, the shadow represents a person's death. When you harm a shadow, the soul is automatically harmed. And it's the soul that Anvil injured , not the shadow. It is the soul of Nephis's mother that is lost, not her shadow. Therefore, the soul and the shadow are different.

for Mordret his "death" is tied to his "other" not to himself
and on for the difference between the soul and shadow. we have it stated that the difference between being shadowbound and soulbound is unimportant and i don't think that would be the case if the soul and shadow were incomparably different.

Sunny was the one who made the distinction between the soul and a shadow. And Mordert acknowledged this :
“What an interesting question. Admittedly, I do not know what would happen if someone targeted my shadow... maybe it will kill me, and perhaps it will not.

Sounds the same but no. When jet, nephy, mordy everyone else kills or absorb soul higher or equal rank as them they saturate their soul core quickly. That's the type of soul they tried to damage.

What about Sunny? He gets 1/1,000 shadowcore. He will have to slay a thousands of equal or higher rank than him to get the same saturated shadowcore as compared to 1 or 2 for a soul core.
That's a huge disparity in power comparison.
Sunny dealing that much damage to Mordy's shadow? It'll obliterate his soulcore thousands of times over and carry over extra damage to his next thousand reincarnations.

Reading shouldn't be this hard for you.

          >When jet, nephy, mordy everyone else kills or absorb soul higher or equal rank as them they saturate their soul core quickly. That's the type of soul they tried to damage.

soul damage is soul damage. Sunny has stated that the only thing that has hurt his shadow was a soul attack or another shadow.

          >What about Sunny? He gets 1/1,000 shadowcore. He will have to slay a thousands of equal or higher rank than him to get the same saturated shadowcore as compared to 1 or 2 for a soul core.
That's a huge disparity in power comparison.

incredibly irrelevant. at 0 point does g3 use his soul fragments scaling

          >Sunny dealing that much damage to Mordy's shadow? It'll obliterate his soulcore thousands of times over and carry over extra damage to his next thousand reincarnations.

if Sunny scaled like you think he does 99% of the problems he goes through, wouldnt have been problems at all.

besides killing shadows -> kills soul but Mordret has already had his soul killed and been perfectly fine because his "death" isn't attached to him.

Tbh there's really nothing much Nephis and Sunny could do. Killing Asterion's vessels would just make more people turn into Asterion's domain willingly, that would just straight up helping Asterion. Even if they do it discreetly, Asterion would say something to defame Nephis. They have no choice but play defensive and search for 'cheats' to take him down.

Oh, Anthony, Anthony, Anthony, of course, Asterion would never stoop to something as crude as brainwashing. That’s far too tacky, too obvious, too… pedestrian. No, his art lies in the subtler craft: he doesn’t overwrite your mind, he simply rummages through the attic of your memories, dusts off the ones that sting, and rearranges them until you’re convinced they were always meant to hurt in just the right way.

‎Think of it less like installing malware and more like “creative editing.” He doesn’t delete your emotions, he just nudges them, amplifies the guilt here, twists the nostalgia there, and suddenly you’re dancing to a tune you swear you composed yourself. It’s manipulation dressed up as self-discovery: you walk away thinking, “Wow, I’ve really come to this conclusion on my own,” while Asterion is in the background, smugly polishing the strings he’s been pulling all along.

‎So no, not brainwashing. That would imply effort. This is more like psychological feng shui, he just rearranges the furniture of your soul until you trip over it willingly.
