    Tbh, even tho this is not the "right" thing to do, I feel this is the best thing that should be done.
    Mordret was just the one that had the guts to do it.
    After all Sunny too could've done it and his domain would grow while Asterion's would weaken.
    Neph tho all she could've done was to destroy hers so Asterion would also suffer.

    The writing of this story has completely fallen off a cliff.

    Contextually I still like this arc and the dialogue in this chapter is still enjoyable. Sunny and Neph not jumping Asterion from the get go is a hundred percent a plot hole though, and these are not the characters they used to be. They haven't regressed or progressed either its just a bit silly. However the rest of what's happening is cool enough so I can live with it.

    The real issue with the story is its no longer written for anyone with any brain cells. The telling and overexplaining has reached some absurd heights. I might be pretty picky, but I haven't actually read something this poorly executed that I can remember. I used to love the fact someone was committing so hard to writing in bulk at the sacrifice of some quality. It really is an amazing output and if you've ever written before you'd know how crazy it is.

    And yet, these last chapters have devolved into some super amateur stuff. At some point I just continued reading this so I can keep in mind what NOT to do. Anyway I'm not intending to trigger anyone and I'd be happy to break it down if someone disagrees.

      did you forget the numerous times they said "we can't just fight him, doing so will only weaken our own domains"

        Yeah some people forget things like consequences, they don't know the full extent of his aspect and sunny always went with studying the prey first... aster does not die unless no body remembers him, so I don't know why people keep saying to jump him when the only people who would have suffered are the ones who couldn't survive the carnage around that fight, and then aster would come back later anyway...

        So does everyone think that aster wouldn't have just started killing people after he came back from getting jumped, what if he controlled nightmare creatures to attack everywhere, he was only nice to start showing people nightmares now, so what would he have done when he was desperate?

      Sure, I disagree;

      Sunny and Nephis not jumping him from the get go isn't a plot hole. About three things happened at the same time of his appearance;

      Abonimations attacking citadels, Cassia dying/near death before Sunny came and the dream gate opening directly over Bastion- keep in mind the Dream Gate opening and Cassia's near death happened near simultaneously. You also have to know the place Asterion chose to appear and timing.

      One after the other, the situation was preplanned executed to put pressure- we don't know the extent but exactly as described in the same chapter; Sunny's emotions were jumping from place to place, albeit, subtle. And even if separated in 7 parts, the amount of enchantments Sunny has yet his emotions were still put into question is a feat on Asterion

      I digress.

      I feel as though you got lost and started treating each chapter as filler; We're still in Cassia's perspective, we're figuring out just how f#cked Asterion played with the world. It seems tedious. And that's the thing;

      If G3 skips we won't understand the depth Asterion has, in the same vein; these events seem to take place in stages, so The Shattered Cassia perspective is definitely the right way to go about it

      No matter how much I think about it, I'm no writer, but I really can't see any other way to go about this.

      How do you Flesh out the sheer depth of the world G3 created effectively?

      Absolutely right bro we should just go on all platforms and suggest the new readers to skip this arc and only read the highlights, which i doubt there is going to be much anyway. all of this is so predictable if you just consider the genre of this vol to be cheap-old-cringy-psycho-drama trope.. with a dumb MC of course.
      The highlights of this vol are just this:
      1. rain ascension.
      2. Cassie apotheosis/sovereignty
      3. mordret became naughty and killed a few million
      4. few more named saints died
      5. some more lore drop and world building- not related to the plot of this novel
      6. maybe some development on sunny's bird hunting plans.
      and oh yeah aster is dead or wiped.
      there wont be any more interesting things in this novel.
      G3 is simple experimenting with a new genre.

      In a vacuum, Sunny can defeat Asterion given the nature of the death will. But Nephis and cassie also learned of him almost simultaneously, making them also a host. Do you also expect Sunny to kill Nephis and Cassie to put down Asterion? This isn’t a power scaling novel where fights happen in a vacuum, it was only like that earlier because as individuals they were often too weak to even send ripples in the greater events.

      Asterion would've literally used them attacking him against them, and his infection would've spread even faster. G3 mentioned this EXACT thing multiple times
