Asterion isn’t even strong at least from what we saw so far his personal strength is so weak he couldn’t even kill a single saint with prep time and it being a surprise attack all he can do is control ants he’s so unbelievably simple to destroy but when you make it to where EVERY ANT MUST LIVE he becomes infinitely harder to defeat all cause of some shitty maxim if Mordet ruled humanity the dreamspawn would be effectively limbless and worthless

The competition was never about who was a better killer. It was about the better Aspect user.

I guess entering the Tomb of Ariel would stop time for the outside so they aren't leaving them to die but damn

Humanity is fighting itself while the Dream Realm is devouring the mortal world completely.

Asterion & Mordred are the real problems, Nightmare Creatures are like annoying, but familiar neighbours at this point.

You are seeing this entire Volume from Cassie's POV, who likely lost her memories and is trying to reassemble them. It might seem like you missed something, but it seems like it's intentional

Perhaps I've missed something... but what's the deal with the proponents of the theory that Asteron could be defeated using VTP? I don't understand how they would force VTP to steal Asteron's destiny... how would they do that? When they confront VTP, the only possible outcome is his death and transformation into Sani's shadow... Sani can't control him because VTP is of a higher rank. And even if he miraculously manages to control him and steal his destiny, what does that mean? The world will forget him... that's the best-case scenario, but Asteron's powers will remain... meaning that whoever tries to kill him will remember him, and therefore will survive... that is, assuming Sani still harbors the desire to kill Asteron somehow... because when Asteron becomes fateless, that is, forgotten, Sani will also forget him and won't remember that he wanted to kill him (all this assuming VTP can steal a king's destiny... because when VTP stole Sani's destiny, he was just a lord, not even a saint). In any case, I think they will find something else to help them kill him because the grave... contains the remains of two demons... or perhaps restore Sani's fate and embark on the Fifth Nightmare, as there are many hints that they want to challenge the Fifth Nightmare soon to face the challenges of the dream world... then Sani and Nevis will use the powers of Concepts and kill Asteron.

I know right, given a lot of them are Very Tenacious rageBaits but some children really believe that because VTB stole Sunny's Fate, VTB is the only solution for Asterion.

That G3 will somehow concoct a lame ass story that Sunny would kill VTB get an echo of it and his fate back. Convert that echo to his 7th shadow like mimic then have VTB steal Asterion's fate, or Sunny will shadow dance to VTB and steal Asterion's fate himself.

How can anyone even say for sure VTB can be found in Ariel's Tomb, where Oblivion is buried. I think since VTB has Sunny's fate, it's probably been living the good life using Sunny's fate, sleeping with a goddess, collecting weaver's lineages and spending time with sister Rain.... wait isn't that Sunny's fate? So VTB is actually desguised as Sunny? OMG! Sunny is VTB!?!?!

actually pisses me off when people keep suggesting that and ignoring that this entire arc has been written from the perspective of one of the only characters with the ability to manipulate and remove memories

I think the key to defeating Asterion lies with the VTB. What if Sunny kills the Vile Thieving Bird and claims it as a Shadow? If he manages to harness its ability to steal fate, he could send his new Shadow to strip Asterion of his destiny. Since Sunny and his Shadows are 'Fateless,' Asterion wouldn't even see the attack coming until he is erased from everyone's memory. It would be the ultimate poetic justice: defeating the Master of Lineages by making him a nobody."

I get the feeling that G3 accidentally made Asterion too powerful and is gonna have to nerf him lol. Unless Sunny somehow makes a trade with the Vile Thieving Bird and trades his fate for Asterion's, then i logically can't see a way for them to win. Speaking of which, why is Asterion so powerful??? Sunny's Supreme ability is strong, but it's nowhere near the same level as Asterion's.

Come on brooo. Throughout all the successive ranks, Sunny too was more powerful than the rest. What'd you expect? Asterion survived on the moon for 20 years, right under the nose of an Unholy creature! Unholy! Survived under an Unholy creature as a mere Supreme! If somebody like him doesn't get to be strong, them nobody does.
